We love it here Lodge 331 was perfect , and the kids loved the loft. Only complaint we had was the patio behind our lodge that was ours was very dirty with garbage when we arrived, and we did not even use the grill because it was way to dirty to even clean , and the grease trap was full to the top with no where for us to dump it .

Sadly the owner is a creep, very rude and needs to keep his old a$$ behind the scenes. I get there are rules, but the way he treated my daughter was uncalled for. Then to get in his vehicle and follow my family around while in the golf cart and blocking their way to play 20 questions and call me a liar is beyond ridiculous! The staff there hate him and don't like dealing with him. We won't be back

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There is a need for reasonable rules for a safe and enjoyable experience of all guests. Almost all negative interactions with staff is due to rule enforcement. You do not describe the incident with you or your daughter but I suspect you objected to rule enforcement. We concur with your decision.

The floors in both cabin 314 & 315 were filthy. They sent someone to clean them and they were only in the cabins for a few minutes. We bought some Lysol and scrubbed them by hand 3 times and the rag was still filthy. We just stayed and never took off our shoes. When I made my reservation I asked for 2 story deluxe cabins. I was given a too small one story. Not enough room to fully explain.

Inside the gazebo was filthy upon arrival, eaten corn cobs. Slider has missing screws, unsafe to sit on. Staff not very friendly, maybe do to end of season and tired.

Unfriendly staff. Never notified of a planned water shutdown. Site was dirty and trashed when arrived, corn cobs all over the place.

I love how much there is to do for the kids, especially small kids! We have been past three years and love coming there. This time I would just really stress my concern of how unclean the cabin was. The floors where absolutely horrible. I would just definitely make sure the staff is cleaning thoroughly.

Watermain break so no water from 6am-10am. A KOA employee was rude when he seen our dog on the sand. Pointing to the sign that we didn’t see… I paid $215 to check in from 3pm-11am and pools don’t even open till 11am. Requesting some type of refund

Staff very undertrained and not knowledgeable about the property at all. Multiple things we asked about and we were told no they don't have it and we ended up stumbling upon it. Bathroom's and showers were disgusting. Also the KOA employees should be more respectful to there guests. I won't be going back to this KOA resort.

A person said they had covid which scared me then to fine out she was lieing which was in comfortable and I was there for 3 days and I didn't know the rules of how many people allowed ok n a site and got yelled at which was wrong which I cleaned the tent site up

The Lodge was great. Was able to cook several meals to maximize our time enjoying the pools and local rock hunting adventures. Extremely busy campground. Lots of activity.

The campground was great (as always). The site we were assigned was definitely not what we would have preferred. It was on the end of the row, facing the road in/out. Not at all relaxing with constant traffic. We paid extra for a nicer site, but the location really hampered our enjoyment of being at our site. It would be much better if we could pick actual sites instead of only the type of site.

Unfortunately we had a very old deluxe cabin. It had several large spiders in it. That delayed us from comfortably sleeping. We had to find and kill those being able to sleep. Also the shower has shoots water all kinds of ways instead of as it should. We've stayed before and loved it cabin. Unfortunately this experience was somewhat unpleasant.

We really like The Port Huron KOA. Sites are big, everyone is very friendly. Pools were big and refreshing. 1st time at SawMill City and the Kids and adults had a blast! Only complaint was........NO DEEP FRIED PICKLES!!! They were done for the season. NOT a deal breaker!

Really enjoy stay there BUT we need more electrical outlets. Running extension cords all over the inside cabin to the front is a tripping hazard. Also no outlets on the outside either. The bathrooms by cabin 98 row were extremely dirty not maintained enough. No toilets had toilet paper by noon.

Deluxe cabin had extremely dirty floors and visibly dirty sheets. We brought our own sheets to cover your sheets but it was gross.

Upset that the water slides and jump Pillow were closed. Those are the 2 main reasons we booked our stay. Would have loved to have known they weren't open.

The only disappointment was that there was no cable tv for us. The cable cord I had was too short to reach the port on the RV from the post. There was no rental or sale of a cable cord available.

Always love my stay at Port Huron KOA. Love all the activities and Sawmill City. The only thing I didn’t like about this time is the site 281 was kinda in a tight space it was hard to maneuver and back up the camper and also the hook up for the tanks was in the front of the site and our tube in back wasn’t long enough to reach so we couldn’t use our bathroom but it wasn’t far from the rest

Very clean, lots of things for kids and adults to do. Plenty of shaded sites but there are several sunny sites that don’t get any shade. Everyone is kind and professional. If quiet time is high on your list, this is a good place to stay. Several families with young kids so I think people call it a day long before the 11pm quite time begins, even on weekends!

We had a wonderful experience at the KOA. Definitely recommended for families with children. However the bathrooms need more up keeping than the 1 hour block a day. The bathroom by Cascade was consistently out of toilet paper and the toilets lacked cleaning. The floors had toilet paper scattered all over and hand soap needed refilling. The shower rooms were dirty and hair laying in the drains.

We enjoyed our stay there are a lot of activities there. The cabins are a little small but manageable it would be nice to have water at the cabins but over all we had a nice time

Lodge was great very clean & had most things we needed.. some of people & they kids needed to learn some manner. Taking up whole road so we couldn’t get through. My nephew got hit by a girl riding her bike. she knocked him right off his bike and was very rude. No adult supervision for a lot of the kids while in pool.

Honestly would rate as high as possible if it weren't for an abundance of some extremely rude guests. We had multiple kids jumping right on us in the pool. My son flew off his bike after another child ran right into him. Parents are letting their children run wild unsupervised and no common courtesy.

We love coming to the port huron KOA but the bathrooms are terrible! Everyone that I went to smelled so bad I gagged, please do better

The cleanness wasn’t there / door was dirt / fan was dirt should the grill been cleaned? It wasn’t- I was also over charged- i only had 3 adults in smaller cabin not 4 - - I just checked my receipt- with all this I recommend you to my friend Mrs T Coleman- she will be there end of September- Do I qualifie for anything. Please let me know -thanks

Pretty good stay, but site pads could be cleaned off after the grass is cut. The back pool should be cleaned and skimmed better. Saw mill City arm bands should be offered more than Wednesdays. Too many golf carts.Main road 5 mph needs to be enforced better.

Our stay was excellent. Always something to do! Only concern was the closet restroom had issues with the men's side, specifically the urinals, for about 2 days. But they had someone out to fix it and they worked a little better after that.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The amenities are wonderful. The park is clean and we'll kept. There are so many things to do we couldn't possibly do them all. We brought our 4 grandchildren and they could not have been happier. Thank you!

Our only complaint is that the bathrooms were neglected. We don’t expect immaculate bathrooms when camping, but filth is unacceptable! It is understood that there are issues with the campground being understaffed. Everyone is in need of employees. Our first day there, a smear of poop was on the floor. The day we left, it was still there! Unsanitary conditions for everyone! Hope this improves!
