My older children came a day later than us to camp and were charged an additional $20 to stay. I think that's ridiculous seeing as how I already paid for the campsite. They were not visitors they were campers. My sister was charged an additional $10 per night for her dog. Really?? I camp a lot of places and have never been charged when I bring my dogs. Really disappointed in the koa.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Like most campgrounds, we charge extra for pets in cabins as the possibility exists that they can sustain more damage and do require an additional cleaning effort. There is no extra charges for pets on RV or tent sites.

I’m VERY UNHAPPY with the fact that I came in on 8-12-21 and was only supposed to stay until 8-20-21 but decided I wanted to stay because I love camping so much and so I went to check if the site I was on was open until Sunday 8-22-21 and the YOUNG girl in the office said no that I would have to move to another site. So I did move to another site and NO ONE CAME ON that site I WAS MAD!!!!!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Someone had a reservation for the site on which you were originally camped. The camper did not show and lost their deposit. We respect the reservations of all campers and reserve the site on which they have placed their deposit. We are sorry that you were inconvenienced by the no-show camper.

. I’ve never stayed at a place with so much to do. We were very impressed with how fast the lines moved if there was a line. This KOA is HUGE and clean. Loved it and going back!

this was our third stay this year. All were great, we are scouting for best sites, I think 47 is the winner. (the pool could be a bit warmer, maybe consider a solar cover?) all else is superb. you guys manage to deliver 5 star service with a bunch of happy teenagers in golf carts. The Hilton could take lessons from you!

Overall great stay, great neighbors and camp has plenty to do. Would have loved the Jumping Pillow opened, but hey you can’t have it all�. Only complaint was the rest rooms, the water pressure seemed low.

PIT BULLS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM KAMP. You have thousands of kids running around- that breed is a proven deadly problem. My 24 year old dog loving daughter was bit in the face and knocked into a fire pit (no fire in it). Luckily the owner was close by and grabbed the dog (who has NEVER been aggressive). what if it were a 3 year old that got knocked down? IT IS INSANE YOU ALLOW THEM THERE.

We had a cabin. There were a few spider webs I wiped them & sparyed insect repellent. Every else was great! It is a great place for kids.

We had a wonderful time. My only complaint is that the area we were in (site 3) often smelled of sewer. It was full hookup so not sure if there are issues.

My camp group was made up of more then 40 campers, we absolutely enjoyed ourselves & would definitely return. However, after talking with my party. The chief complaint was the bathrooms. The bathrooms didn't seems as clean as they were in the past. So we are hoping when we return next year that we have a better experience in the common bathroom areas.

We stayed last year and decided to try again this year. The PH KOA just isn’t for us. There are about 100 sites too many. We can’t even sit at our campfire without being in the next campsite or having the next campsites vehicle directly behind our back, literally stretch my arm out and touch it. We can’t even walk around our camper without walking in the other neighbors campsite. It’s cr

My family and I had so much fun at the Port Huron KOA! We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of activities there were for the kids! We will for sure be booking another trip to this KOA, highly recommend!

Great KOA! Was a little nervous after reading some reviews but we stayed for a week and couldn't have been happier. Yes there are a lot of people with kids and it's crowded but quiet at night. We didn't see a bunch of pot smoking (legal in Michigan, I think) rap music playing hoodlums just people having fun with their kids. The sites are very well spaced. The pools clean, everything's nice

Accommodations were as promised. There are so many cabins that there’s a city vibe more then a camping vibe. And $90 a night for a small 4 person box is very high. There was an air conditioner that made the box bearable. We had 2 adults and I don’t know where you would keep stuff for 4 people! The pools were exceptionally clean as were all the facilities. Everything else has additional cost!

Stayed in k35 the bathroom to the left of it smelled bad and run down. The rest of the campground and bathrooms and everything else was very very nice. I'll definitely be back

I didn't like the fact that people drove around in the carts with music blasting super loud even though the rules said not too. The staff witnessed this and did nothing. It wasn't the end of the world but a bit annoying.

Stove top in cabin did not work. The way the fridge doors opened was really bad. The table blocked the doors so every time we needed to open the fridge we had to move the kitchen table and chairs.

The water slides are not working for 2021 and the jumping pillow has hole in it. Did not know that before going. Kids were disappointed. Otherwise the campground was good and the sites were nice.

I would give it 5 stars for the staff, cleanliness, and response to complaints. You did a great job! The pool was way too busy which was very disappointing. There should be a cap on swimmers allowed to enter or something. We also witnessed a lot of bad behavior from kids at the pool and around the park. A lot of foul language. Otherwise we had a wonderful time. We loved our site and amenities.

Dirty restrooms, no regulation on noise at night..the party next to us was literally having a party until 3 in the morning. We could hear everything they were saying. And no Covid mitigating measures what so ever, not surprised this area has some of the worst numbers and hospitalization rates. Overall, gross.

My family has been going to Port Huron KOA for 25 years. We have seen a lot of changes…most good. It is sad to see some people not following the rules as if the rules don’t apply to them and that the staff is ill equipped to deal with these people.

We stayed in a cabin and the accommodations were nice. Cabin was clean. I would recommend a larger trash can in the cabins. The only other thing I would recommend is keeping the showers a little cleaner. Each time we showered they were pretty dirty. Otherwise the staff was very attentive and I liked the texting feature of being able to text when I had a question. Nice outdoor kitchens and upgrades

In all the years we have been coming here we found the campground to be clean and the staff friendly and accommodating. We did have an issue with the bike rental this year. We found that the bikes were not being maintained properly. On two separate occasions the bikes we rented were not in good working order and had to be switched out and the replacements had problems as well.

Ceiling fans and A/C vents were covered with previous guests dead skin (Dust) a lot of it, walls and light switch panels were sticky....this is unacceptable especially now living with covid. Walls needed to be wiped down as well.....this is how sanitation cleaning works. Due to this wearing a mask was necessary the entire stay and I had to use my own pillows, sheets, and dishes because of notrust
