We stayed here one night in transit between Montana and Texas. We are return guests to this property. It is an older campground but is maintained to impeccable standards. The showers and restrooms are spotlessly clean and well heated, as it was 19* on the morning we left. There is a full service grocery store is right across the street. This KOA is on our list of reliable places to stay.

Friendly staff and great experience. I love that they have a couple of Kabins to suit those who have no RV or tent.

Excellent! On arrival we were having trouble getting two tires on our van/RV aired up (none of the filling stations air devices were working). When we pulled up to check in my husband asked the guy filling propane if he had air here. He brought a compressor right over and we got our tires filled immediately. Service way above and beyond. Going to raise our expectations of KOA even higher.

Other than the weather, the staff was great. We didn't enjoy waking up to 17 degrees in the morning, but mother nature thru a curve ball to us winter texans.

We were in a bit of a bind as our trailer had mechanical issues and we had to leave it in Santa Fe. We had reserved a spot for the trailer at the Raton KOA but called and asked if they had a cabin for rent which they did. What they didn’t tell us was the cabin did not come with linens and a private bath. We didn’t have any supplies with us as we left them in our trailer. Not comfortable.

Check in is smooth and easy. Staff is most helpful. Utilities including cable TV are excellent. Didn't use Wifi as phone signal was strong. Did not use laundry or bath houses. Suggest trips to Sugarite Canyon State Park and Capulin Volcano...and Taos too.

Good place to stop when traveling through, great managers. Internet not good but no worries. Very quiet and level spaces.

Very tight spaces with neighbor slide out over hookups. Water pipe burst but no one fixed it until I complained it was flooding my site.

Excellent campground on the way to Arizona. My only issue was the WiFi. I could not get it to connect on my iPhone.

KOA is in a nice location: easy access from the highway. The only reason I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is: the store was under construction, which I was unaware of and the wifi didn't work. Not deal breakers for my current trip but something that could have posed an issue if I'd needed to be connected. Staff was very friendly, though, and apologized. Pups loved the dog run!

Nice clean place- we pulled in late for a one night stop over. I had called to inform them and they returned my call promptly with directions. The reason for the 4 is we didn’t get to check out the place. Be careful driving in town, we had 2 herds of deer crossing the roads. We will stay there again.

We’ve stayed here before and it’s just ok for a night or two. Please don’t advertise WiFi when it’s not available or we get unable to login. False advertising.

Site 21 couldn’t dump had to go to dump when we check out had no water there to clean up. At the site water connection snd electric hook up so far apart have stayed there many years no 50 amp. Spaces really do need to be updated. We would like a refund. We did not get the services we paid for

We spent the night here on the way back home and it was great. Nothing fancy, just a well laid out park that was very quiet. The wifi and cable TV were both great. The check-in process was efficient. We will definitely stay here again.

We stay there every time we are traveling in the area. The manager keeps things running, clean, and convenient. Half the time we call with little notice, and he always takes care of us. It's called customer service, and brings us back. Every time.

Very good stop-over location. Shower was very good (pressure, hot water, size). Easy in, easy out. Wi-fi was spotty.

Love the Raton KOA! Perfect dog park for my dogs, sites are always very level and generously sized with everything you need. The folks who run this place do a great job. They are the perfect mix of friendly and welcoming, but also responsible in their duties and protecting the area with proper safety and cleanliness standards. Thanks again for another great experience here!

Got there late but paperwork all ready in night registration Station. Small but clean. Met our needs for overnight and easy to find. Stayed in 39 foot 5th wheel

It is a little older KOA which goes to how hard the hosts work to make it nice. CLEAN!!!! And Wendell was SUPER friendly and helpful. Everything was just as we needed. Thank you folks for taking care of us!!!

Was just traveling through on this trip and just stayed over night. Was a delight visiting with the host and getting checked in. It was a very quite night and I left at sun up.I do light the Raton area and plan in the near future to spend a few days there looking around. Will certainly be staying at the Raton KOA.

Can I just say - best maintained restrooms/showers I've seen at a KOA so far! We were on the way home, so ours was just a 1 night stay, but we would choose this KOA again and again. Very small and not much to see, but clean, safe, friendly and I could have stayed longer. Thank you!
