Quiet place for quick overnight, just off I-25. We explored Capulin Volcano and Sugarite State Park. Our assigned site #4 was right next to bathrooms; requested to move. Site #19 was level. Shower/bath facilities were older but clean. No camp store and no fire pit. Was told to use the raised BBQ for fire pit; our site did not have one.

Last stop on a trip from California to Denver, Colorado. Both pretty tired. From Check-in to extending our stay for a night the staff could not have been more helpful. From helping us hook up electrical to getting connected to the internet, especially Grant, went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.

Found it to be not well kept, public alley running through it, cable hook up was worthless, the info handed out for wifi was incorrect and password didn't work. Not a park I'll return to.

We stayed at the Raton KOA overnight for a quick stop on our way to Colorado. They accommodated our very late arrival and early departure. The full hookups worked fabulously. The dog walking area is perfect for pups. The bathroom and showers were extremely clean. There is a small playground area too if you have kids. Than you KOA Raton for a wonderful experience!

The pad was level but it could use more gravel on the roadways to control dust. There once was grass but it has been unwatered and dried out. A bonus was an off leash dog park which they are hard to come by. That one could also use some grass in it as well. The gentleman who checked us in was most helpful and pleasant. Overall a good stay for a quick overnight. Priced right.

Worked for a year at this KOA (May 2020 to May 2021). Our 6th or 7th time working there. We worked at making it great for the campers who came to stay.

Great campground! Level site, #3 was a nice site with good WiFi and hedge. Manager is very friendly and helpful, he did some changes so we could stay another night. Fun places to check out in the area, Sugarite Canyon and Capulin Volcano.This is a wonderful KOA and we would return for another stay!

Wonderful people checking you in very helpful and explained everything, our fur babies loved the dog park and they have an awesome swing to sit on while waiting. The park is clean and a playground for kids . Quiet we enjoyed our short stay. There a few resturents and a grocery store. We enjoyed driving down old town and especially driving up to Lake Dorothy. F or us it was a nice stop over definit

It was simply overnight. However, I arrived on Sunday at 1. I left at 7am on Monday. No greeters, the park is all gravel and dirt. It was fine for one night.

While we were staying there a situation arose where we had to extend our stay. They were very accommodating. We had one less thing to worry about during a stressful time.

We had to keep backing up our arrival date and they were very accommodating. We were traveling with friends and the park set us with our doors facing each other. We love this park because it’s so quiet and a good distance from the highway.
