Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet when outside their owners' vehicles or rental units. Do not leave a tethered dog unattended. Remember manners. Constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is too vocal, you'll need to find other accommodations."
Pet areas are provided for walking. Please clean up after your pet! NO pets are permitted in any building, the pool area or deluxe cabins. ADA certified service dogs are welcomed. (Leash and aggressive behavior rules apply.)

Quiet Hours

Our quiet hours are from 10pm - 7am.

Pool Hours

The pool is open from April 15th - November 1st: 10:00am - 8pm.

Highway Noise

Our campground is a half mile off Interstate 95 on Highway 17. You are more than likely going to hear highway noise. Traffic slows down overnight; however, if you are a light sleeper, we offer free earplugs in the front office upon request.

Electric Vehicles

Charging E-vehicles on our pedestals is prohibited. Our electric infrastructure is not currently equipped to handle the constant electricity flow required by E-vehicles.

Firewood Policy

All campfires must be in an above ground fire pit. You can request a fire pit to be brought to your site upon check-in. We sell firewood and will bring it to your site as well ($9.50 for one bundle or 2 for $17).

Visitor Policy

All visitors must stop at the front office to obtain a visitor pass and leave by 10pm when quiet time starts.

Wildlife

  • Please do not feed the swans. They are on a special diet, and we feed them regularly.
  • Do NOT feed the alligators. Georgia law makes it illegal to willfully feed or bait any wild alligator not in captivity.

We Can't Wait to See You

Hi,
Welcome to KOA Savannah South! Our park was opened in 1973 and remains one of the oldest KOA franchises that is still managed by the same owner/operator family. I've had the personal joy of growing up around this KOA -- now an even better joy in being its day-to-day General Manager. We trust that you will have a pleasant experience during your time with us, whether you are passing through or have chosen to remain and discover the historic charm of Savannah for a while. If you just want to camp and relax with us, there is still plenty to do on our park. We try to be as accommodating as possible! Again, welcome to our park -- we can't wait to see you!
