Camp sites are too close to each other. Very remote location, narrow farm roads , one lane with RV. Otherwise very nice campground, pleasant staff.

I pulled in with no reservation. The cabin was awesome n comfortable even with TV n air conditioning. I bought everything i needed at the store. The shower amenities were clean n the water was hot. It was perfect.

Great hide-a-way and close to Springfield Lake amenities. Lots to entertain yourself and kids with. Clean park and friendly staff. Love the pull thrus, large “yard” and trees. Dog park is great! Need shoes you don’t mind getting muddy and wet around some campsites as lots of puddling after a rain. Many small “pools” just outside the RV door, but doable if you plan ahead before the rain.

It was end of season nothing going on. But a nice c/g. We had a concrete patio with pavers. Had a lot of weeds in rocks so I had to pull a lot up to see pavers. Not good for the price we paid.

Great facilities and very clean. Kid and family friendly, we will be coming back here again and again in the future. The staff were friendly, interacting with other campers, had activities for adults and kids. Quiet and peaceful campground. A++++

Had a great time! First time staying. Bathrooms were clean and plenty for the kids to do. Kim was amazing in visiting with guests and talking to everyone. Felt very welcomed and can't wait to go back again.

We were traveling with 2 other families and the owner worked with us to make sure our sites were next to each other. Very accommodating, a fun weekend and clean facilities.

This location was a bit of a drive off the main highway. The office attendant was very courteous. The grounds are clean and well cared for.

Positives: Professional and courteous staff. Clean bathhouse. Site 19 was private and shaded. Negatives: The roads to the campground from the interstate being in poor/bumpy condition made it too far to travel for an overnight stay. Small campground so limited walking opportunities. Campers driving above the posted campground speed limit left lots of dust in their wake.

Our stay in a primitive cabin was great! Loved the area! Of course the road coming in was a little rough but worth it! One thing that I might recommend is that tall flags be put on the low riding bikes so can see kids better if they are on the roadway! Just curious if anything delivers food to the campground...if so a list at check-in would be great! Enjoyed our stay & hope to do it again!

Campsite was a nice spot with a tree and grass. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Didn’t use the amenities (e.g., pool, playground, miniature golf, etc.), but they seemed nice. The main drawback was the secluded area with a few abandoned houses on KOA Road.

This weekend was the very first time staying at any KOA and was very impressed! The hosts are very active with plenty of activities for the kids! Clean, well organized! I will be returning!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The campground was very clean and staff was very friendly. There are plenty of site options for you to choose from. The location is set back in the country enough that it's very quiet but you're still only a short drive to Springfield.

Camping at a KOA I have certain expectations. one of them is the KOA motto of “Making it Great”. Linda is failing at that. First impressions really are everything and Linda failed miserably. I would NEVER come to this campground again, based on the owner Linda’s unpleasant and rude demeanor, the cell coverage and the narrow roads and one vehicle at a time bridge to get to the park.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin and it was really nice and clean. We had a front porch with furniture and a firepit with outdour furniture and a picnic table. The campground was very clean and very comfortable. There was things for kids to do. Would highly recommend.

Loved the shady tree spots and staff extremely helpful esp with propane tank refills! Staff friendly and knowledgeable about their KOA. Nice and close to Springfield Illinois. Follow the wonderful yellow signs to a great place

I enjoyed staying at the spacious RV site that I was assigned. Other campers and the KOA staff were very friendly.

Third time this summer and it, as always, was a wonderful relaxing 5 days. We love Linda the owner and enjoy visiting with her. We will be back in the spring! Can’t wait!

This park is quiet and a bit hard to get too, but good for visiting Springfield IL. But the wifi is useless. Yes they have it, but half the time it does not work at all and the remaining half it is so slow it is useless. Plus Verizon phone service and data service barely works. This is just unacceptable in 2020. We use the internet for our travel maps and points of interest.

campsite was very clean and provided nice shade. Linda and her staff went above and beyond to address any questions or issues we may have had. We will return in the future and are really lookink forward to our next stay.

This campground is beautiful!!! We came here sight unseen. We got the site with the nicest glass table and chairs on the patio. I hardly go inside the RV because I love it so much. It's October so most things are out of season. It's a nice campground with lots of room. We are not piled on top of each other which is so great!! No complaints.... I recommend this campground 100% In October beware of tons of stink bugs. Buy a fly swatter.... it will be your best friend.

I stayed at one of the cabins. It was more than perfect. The cabin was clean and just right for one, maybe two people. I use KOA for a secret hotel room. It cost less, you get more, and you can have a fire every night. The owner here is wonderful and my only complaint about her is she is fixing to retire soon. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
