Hostess was very accommodating/available (I arrived late). Tent area was clean with freshly mowed grass pad. Bathroom was tiled/clean. Excellent location! Short distance from town/museums on gravel road next to woods/fields/lake. Went birding and sighted several remarkable birds. A barred owl nest was next to the camping area. Great alternative to local State Park (they didn't answer phone).

If you like a nice quiet, out of the way campground, which I do, then you’ll like this spot. Make sure you have your food bcs town is about 7 miles away. Personally enjoyed this spot and would stay there again.

I loved the campground and all the amenities offered however the elderly lady running the campground is very mean to the kids that were staying I witnessed several incidents that she scolded or yelled at kids but never addressed parents! She also showed favoritism to her family members who were staying that weekend They were allowed to do things other guest were told not to do!!!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are very clean and well-kept. It was a very enjoyable experience.

The facility is very nice, however the owner is very angry and rides around on her golf cart harassing the children the entire time. Was not very pleased with this. Many other campers were complaining of this as well.

The campground is very clean, the bathrooms and showers are immaculate, the campground is located a quiet area with no noise other than Mother Nature. Linda and her staff do a great job of accommodating guests and making sure everybody is happy

Putt Putt Golf area could use some cleaning up and Jump Pad area, just very weedy and not very attractive. No signs listed at Pool area saying that you could only be in the pool area for 1 hour then needing to leave the area for next group. No where did we see this but were very sternly told by the owner we needed to leave if we had been down there for longer than 1 hour. Will never stay again!

Loved this KOA. What makes this one so GREAT is it's location. Out in the country. I ran an early morning 5K and it was very relaxing. Linda was a GREAT host. I pointed out some items in the cabin that needed attention and she was very appreciative of the advice. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this KOA!

This is our 2nd favorite KOA! lol NDA is warm and kind and welcoming! Not only that, there was a tornado warning that went off and Linda had made sure all us campers were to go to washroom building for safety. She braved the winds and lightening to make sure we all were safe. After it passed, she gave us rides back to our campers in her cart! That was a brave lady and I’ll always be grateful!

We loved the welcoming atmosphere from the Staff and the fact the campground is out far enough that are no sounds of traffic. We will definitely stay there again!

Unfortunately a summer storm interuped our stay and we're without power for most of evening. However, we are self contained so we were able to function just fine. Nice sites, clean and comfortable RV park and facilities. Seems more of a destination campground as getting there through small country roads a bit tiresome. Nice people.

Very nice clean park. In the forest, with a view of local farmlands. A couple of miles from Lake Springfield and a very nice park by the lake. Give this park a shot, and you will love it. Very nice lady runs it. 5 plus stars.

Clean, well-maintained, and friendly staff. Plenty of site with full hookup (a lot with 30/50) and good on length. Notice shade in about 1/3 of the park. We enjoyed the patio option and our kids really enjoyed the jumping pillow, pool, and loaner bikes / pedal cart. We live about an hour away and definitely will be back. Thank you.

I liked that the jump pad, play area, and bikes were included with stay (didn’t use to be) so that was a plus. Unfortunately the pool was a bit dirty and we almost left in the middle of the night due to air conditioning in the cabin not working very well, it felt at least 80 degrees in the cabin! Husband had to take cold shower at 3am to finally get some sleep and we took AC “breaks” in the

It was a great place to stay for the night. The staff was friendly and accomodating, especially since we were arriving later in the evening. It was also fun to find out that we were from the same place in Maryland.

This place is so much fun! My 4 year old twins had the time of their lives. They went back and forth between the playground, bounce pad, bikes, and pool. We will definitely be going back!

We love this campground! We love the owner, Linda, she has the cleanest restrooms we have ever seen! We have been twice this summer so far and plan at least one more stay in our favorite cabin! This is a top rated place to stay!

The Springfiled KOA has become an overnight stop for us when we travel from WI to AR and back, making a family visit. It's a very nice property, far enough from the interstate but not too far. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are easy to access and flat. They offer whatever hook-ups you need. There are nice amenities: pool, small dog park, etc. Someday we'll take advantage of them all!

Some upkeep is needed here: overgrown weeds at miniature golf, laundry room only accessible through a storage area that is unkempt. The pool looked nice, but we didn't use it. This KOA is a bit of a distance from the freeway, and the road into the KOA is over a tiny, graffiti-laden bridge and past two abandoned homes. OK for an overnight stay I guess. Loved the frogs & fireflies.

Nice mix of convenient amenities camping and rugged and rural. Variety of kid friendly things to do that every child seemed to enjoy.

Whether you are just passing through, or visiting the Springfield area, this is by far the best RV Park in the area. There’s lots for kids to do, big trees for shade, and a very pleasant and responsive staff. The road in is scenic, but narrow. Traffic is very light, and will pull over onto the grassy shoulder if necessary. Don’t miss Lincoln’s New Salem when you visit.

This campground is beautiful!!! We came here sight unseen. We got the site with the nicest glass table and chairs on the patio. I hardly go inside the RV because I love it so much. It's October so most things are out of season. It's a nice campground with lots of room. We are not piled on top of each other which is so great!! No complaints.... I recommend this campground 100% In October beware of tons of stink bugs. Buy a fly swatter.... it will be your best friend.

I stayed at one of the cabins. It was more than perfect. The cabin was clean and just right for one, maybe two people. I use KOA for a secret hotel room. It cost less, you get more, and you can have a fire every night. The owner here is wonderful and my only complaint about her is she is fixing to retire soon. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
