I really enjoyed the time at the KOA in Springfield

Level gravel sites, some shaded. Lots of tent sites and plenty of play areas for kids. This is a great place to stay if visiting the Lake Springfield area. Campgrounds are in a quite area and away from railroad tracks and highways. Sufficient space between sites to fully engage awnings.

Nice sites for tents. Bathrooms always very clean. Mini golf, bikes, jump pad, swimming pool to keep kids happy. Linda does a great job of running everything. She is available all day, usually outside tending to things. We would stay there again.

Location has no traffic and road noise. All you hear is wildlife. Great views of open fields and woodlands. Bath house is clean and well lit. We had stayed here before and came back because we so enjoyed staying the first time..

This is our second stay here and both were great. The campground is very quiet throughout the day and we had a restful weekend. Our daughter and family made their first trip with their new camper and had a wonderful time. Our four grandchildren were never bored as they enjoyed the bikes, mini golf and the jumping pad.

This was our 3rd time staying here. We have had a great time everytime & would definitely return! The staff is friendly & helpful. The shower house is always clean, bright & smelling good. The kids love the activities, banana bikes, jumping pillow, playground. The campground is kept clean & maintained. Camp Store is efficient but also close to many stores & restaurants. Will definitely be back!

Grounds beautiful and clean. Bathroom was incredibly clean and modern. Staff very friendly, and everything done when I checked in. Only stayed one night, but I will use KOA again..

A small well kept campground with easy pull through sites. Lots of open green space to make it tranquil. Easy drive to all of the local attractions but you’re in the countryside. Plenty for the kids to do. If you have dogs, you go out to the road for a longer walk. Linda does a great job!

We stayed here for a night en route to Michigan from Oklahoma. It was a perfect travel stop, and much better for my son than a hotel, because of the outdoor activities. He rode his bike all around the campground and enjoyed playing mini-golf and on the playground. We stayed in a rental cabin and it was clean and tidy, perfect for us. Linda was a great host! Thank you!

Wounderful campground. It would be a wonderful place for a get together. So many things for kids to do. Very private and quiet. Close to to the Lincoln things. Great quilting shop in Rochester.

This KOA is hidden gem. We stayed here while exploring the land of Lincoln. The staff was friendly and the campground was well cared for.

Just a quick overnight stay. Clean up to date showers. Well manicured. Needs an equipment shed to make it great! Really wet but couldn't be helped since the whole area was rainy! Great Staff! Called and redirected us to the campground because of high water.

Our host was wonderful. We had a huge amount of rain during our stay which flooded the primary road used for access and departure. Our host hand wrote directions that gave us a safe route. I found her most caring and kind. We would return.

Very lovely park, owner Linda friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, a big rain storm hit and our tent site became flooded, we had to leave. Linda very kindly refunded our payment. Beautiful natural setting, big trees, clean and well-tended

Illinois weather was typical but the grounds were great. Staff were outstanding and ensured I had best route to my next adventure.

Very quiet place to stay. We only stayed one night because we needed a spot to stay on a trip, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back again. Very pretty with lots of trees, and birds singing everywhere in the morning. Looked like they have lots of outdoor activities too!

If you want a quite, friendly, country campground within :20 mins of downtown Springfield Ill and Abe Lincoln's tomb, museum, & library this is a great choice. Don't let the short narrow country road to it influence your decision, just take it slow. The campground is big rig friendly. Great place for kids. Lots of open space. We recommend, would stay there again.

We were only there for one night but loved the campground. The office personnel were very friendly and helpful. My sister came to join us for dinner and she showed her where we were located. We would definitely will stay there in the future.

great visit- our kiddo really enjoyed the playground and bikes that were provided. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Booked our stay for labor day weekend! Hopefully will return before then!

I was skeptical after reading the reviews. We had a delightful stay and the owner was friendly and helpful. We forgot aluminum foil so she gave us some from her personal stock. I love that it is so far out of town, basically in the middle of a lot of trees. Due to this fact, the stars were super bright and easy to identify. We will be back!

We had a short stay and everything we needed was easy and in good shape. I didn't give them 5 stars only because, as there aware, some of conveniences are not perfect, but I was there for a place to park, I had no expectations to be entertained. Also, great price.

This campground is beautiful!!! We came here sight unseen. We got the site with the nicest glass table and chairs on the patio. I hardly go inside the RV because I love it so much. It's October so most things are out of season. It's a nice campground with lots of room. We are not piled on top of each other which is so great!! No complaints.... I recommend this campground 100% In October beware of tons of stink bugs. Buy a fly swatter.... it will be your best friend.

I stayed at one of the cabins. It was more than perfect. The cabin was clean and just right for one, maybe two people. I use KOA for a secret hotel room. It cost less, you get more, and you can have a fire every night. The owner here is wonderful and my only complaint about her is she is fixing to retire soon. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
