Stayed 3 nights in mid Sept. visited Mackinaw Island, Straits and Pete Marquette State parks…..and then it rained one day!!!! Overall very nice campground, except when it rains…..then plenty of flooded areas and big mud puddles…..thought it was a bit costly for the site, except you are at the Straits and closest campground to Mackinaw Island….

Stayed 4 nights, was quiet and peaceful. Check in was quick and friendly. Only complaint was dump station connection was about same height as outlet on my 5th wheel. Impossible to completely drain tanks. Connection needs to be lower, or build up landing area with more stone. People with a regular trailer that is lower must not be able to empty at all.

Staff was polite and very helpful. Issues were resolved in a timely manor. Suggestions for improvement were noted. Already looking forward to next year at the KOA!

Excellent and friendly staff. Clean and well kept. Lots of trees and many secluded sites. Love getting text messages for early check in and firewood delivery to site. Sites close to entrance have a lot of traffic. Unity placement may require Xtra hoses/cords. Tiny dog park. Noisy and busy weekend.

Everyone at this KOA was absolutely amazing! My husband and I got married on 9/18 up in St. Ignace. We stayed in a cabin here, as did most of our family. The staff were very accommodating, and not only allowed us to have our reception at the pavilion with all our guests that were not staying at the KOA, but even helped us set up and make everything look fantastic! Thank you for everything!!!

We stayed Friday-Monday and was a great time. Our only complaints where how small the spots where and being near the rear dump station made for a reallllly smelly and annoying Sunday morning.

The managers were very friendly, the campground has made many major improvements since we last stayed there 2 years ago. That said, in the many KOA’s that I have stayed at across the country, we were assigned the worst site ever (#81). There was a huge root in the middle of the site, the fire pit was only 3-4 ft from the neighbors slide so it was unusable. They were full that night.

Very clean campground. Very friendly and hard working staff. I would recommend this campground ground to friend and plan to camp here again.

Our group stayed on lots 26/27/28 drive thru. The actual driveway that you set your trailer unto had new stone applied since last year. That wasn’t bad but get off that driveway area and lookout. Very unlevel ground, lots of large tree roots exposed above ground and a few large rocks sticking up. A very dangerous tripping hazard. Our fire pit was only 1/2 usable to sit around. The dump site next to the bathrooms needs to be redone. It doesn’t flow, there should be NO white PVC pipe sticking up. Bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. We do like the sites and everything else, see you next year

The bathrooms weren’t kept clean and when it was addressed to management they said they were cleaned at 8:00 in the morning and 4:00 in the afternoon and it was the fault of the people not the write answers they should be cleaned as needed !!!

Ferry to Mackinac Island leaves from St. Ignace, so very convenient. Ferry tickets can be purchased at camp office. A laundry area added in the middle of the campground with the restrooms would be a nice addition for campers parked in the back. WiFi coverage was good with a WiFi extender.

Wry nice campground. Staff was very accommodating. Only problem was one bathroom/bathhouse for whole campground. Bathroom/bathhouse was not clean. Campground was full, therefore lots of people using bathroom/bathhouse. Suggest they clean twice a day when they are completely full.

Not to bad but the sites are not very level. And the full hookup sites are not very wide. The people in the office don't seemed to concerned with what's going on in the park. We would stay again.

Clearly a popular place as it was full to capacity. Can see that some of the sites, some effort has been made to bring in stone, but our site was very off level, and pretty sloppy/dirty all around. More stone, more effort to deal with muddy spots would make it better. Staff was friendly and we have no complaints, just suggesting more effort on site prep. thank you.

Sites were big. Major problem is only one bath house/bathrooms for the whole campground. Bathrooms/bathhouse was not clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating

Very basic for a KOA. Gravel roads, gravel/dirt sites which are uneven. The staff was friendly but the appearance and landscaping was lacking. WiFi was very weak even though a booster reception was right at our site. (?). Wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t stay again.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating! Our first site would not allow clearance for slide and canopy so they were able to move us despite being full. Didn’t use other amenities to comment. Good location, grounds well kept.

Very clean restrooms and plenty of hot water! The store person was very kind and helpful. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Great place. Friendly staff. Care taker mike was great really enjoyed our stay. If there was a problem we were on lot 36 and people use it like a path to the bathroom.

We had a very nice stay. The hosts were very nice. The only problem we had was the power at various times dropped to a lower voltage and we lost power and the utilities were in odd places. The CG was very nice and quiet and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice, clean, comfortable cabin in a nice location. Friendly staff. Perhaps it would be a good idea to wait until checkout time to grind stumps less than 6 feet from a tent. Other than that a nice experience.

Really enjoyed our stay. The little cabins are nice and well kept up. My only real complaint it that they are a bit pricey.
