St. Ignace / Mackinac Island KOA Holiday General Information

The camp store/office is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week.

Monday, May 25th - June 4th - 9 AM to 6 PM
June 5th - June 18th -  8 AM to 7 PM
June 19th -  September 6th (Labor Day)  - 8 AM to 8 PM
September 7th - September 27th 9 AM to 6 PM
September 28th - end of Season October 25th -  9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This is a family campground. Please respect privacy of others.
Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 11 pm to 7 am.
Violation may result in eviction from the park. No refunds will be issued.

Buy your Ferry tickets for Shepler's or Arnold Transit Company at DISCOUNTED rates, cheaper than buying at the dock or even online from the Ferry companies.  
Avoid long lines at the ferry: You can buy Shepler's or Arnold Transit Company ferry tickets at our store, AND also use the FREE shuttle provided by the ferry companies. 
Once you are ready to go, you can call the shuttle service number or inform our front desk and we will be happy to schedule it for you.

Cabins, Deluxe Cabins and Glamping Tents:
Check-in : 3 pm
Check-out : 11 am

RV and Tent sites:
Check-in : 1 pm
Check out : 11 am

Laundry facilities are next to the office and open 24 Hours per day during the camping season.  All washers are $2.00 per cycle and some dryers are $2.00 per cycle (30 minutes) or $3.00 per cycle (45 minutes).  We also have a TV in the laundry room with 20 cable channels and a little library with board games and books to borrow.

In 2023, we added additional Deluxe Cabins (now we have a variety of 6 in total), 2 Deluxe Glamping Tents, 2 Glamping Tents, JUMPING PILLOW, and Basketball (half) Court.
In 2024, we added several pavilions for your enjoyment.  
In 2025, we added the Mighty Mack Snack Shack food trailer for breakfast & dinner service with free delivery to your campsite. We also added 5 new camping cabins (A Frame & One Roomer), 3 additional RV Patio Sites and new WIFI.

No outside firewood please!
During store hours, you can purchase firewood at the store and it will be delivered directly to your site.  Ask the store about the 3 pack bundle this year!

During store hours, you can purchase ice at the store.
For after hours, we have a honor system and you can find the ice and a payment deposit box outside the store.

We have a K9 park for our furry guests to spend a little time off leash!

Visitors must stop at office.
No night stays after 10 pm.

Make your online reservations anytime, day or night, at https://koa.com/campgrounds/st-ignace/  You will receive an email confirmation from us once your reservation is complete.  Additionally, you can now reserve a select site at the time of your reservation, for a fee.

DEPOSIT
To guarantee your booking, a deposit approximately equal to your first night will be charged to your credit card at the time you make your reservation.  Holidays or special events could require an additional night deposit. 

Cancellation / MODIFICATION:
If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. You must call 906-984-0209 to cancel your reservation.   (Please note that any cards that have been canceled or unable to process the refund could incur an additional fee ranging from $5 to $20.)

Cancellation NOTIFICATION WINDOWS:
RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 PM seven days before your scheduled arrival.  
Lodging (Deluxe Cabins/Glamping Tents/Camping Cabins): 14 days cancellation notice required. Call the KOA you made your reservations with by 4 PM fourteen days before your schedule arrival.  

Reservations made after these deadlines require non-refundable deposits. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.  No refunds are given on or after the arrival date. Holidays and special events may have special deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Special conditions may apply during high-demand periods and special events.

Please note: No refunds for cancellation due to weather or early departures!

We ask that dogs are kept on leashes or properly contained when outside their owners' campers or rental units. Please use Kamp K9 to be off leash.  Please do not leave dogs unattended outside for extended periods of time.
Please do not bring pet's inside any of the buildings including the bathhouses. Remember manners. Constantly barking animals bother other campers. Good behavior is required. Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground, along with their owners.

In 2017, Mackinac Recreation LLC purchased the campground. Our campground provides a variety of amenities and accommodations. We have 50-Amp and 30-Amp sites, six deluxe cabins, 10 rustic cabins, four glamping tents, 5 new glamping pods and 3 new back in patio sites. Some of our sites have cable, and some of our full hookup sites have a patio option. Our location has two bathhouses, a store/office, several pavilions, a jumping pillow, game room, and several outdoor activities. The Mighty Mack Snack Shack food trailer is new in 2025 and open Memorial Day to Labor Day. 

We are excited to make this campground a top choice for campers visiting Mackinac Island and the Upper Peninsula. We look forward to your stay!
