Before our trip we called to make sure all the activities for the kids would be open. The bouncy pillow was not and we were given an excuse. They said it was impossible to keep it clean yet all the playgrounds were opened and not sanitized. We understand the risk but feel that the bouncy pillow is a draw for this campground. We could have stayed anywhere with a pool just as nice and much cheaper.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

With Covid-19 we can't ensure that bouncing children will remain 6 feet apart. This is a valid concern for public safety and is the reason for such the Bouncy Pillow will remain closed this summer. Stay Safe!

We’ve stayed here several times before and always enjoy our stay. The pools are wonderful and the kid enjoy the movies. Most of the staff are very happy to see you and polite and courteous. We did have a few minor issues that wouldn’t prevent us from coming back. Kids upset that the bouncy pillow would be open after we were told all amenities were open. Other KOAs have their pillows open.

Thank you for joining us this summer. Due to Covid -19 we were unable to open the jumping pillow. Due public health rules and ensuring that everyone stayed 6 feet apart. With children jumping there was no way to ensure they would stay 6' apart. We are the only KOA in the New Brunswick.

Enjoyed it so much. Staff so friendly and helpful. Bradley made us feel so welcome. Our 2nd visit and we will be back.

Our first time using our pick up truck camper. We found the area clean, staff freindly and sites spacious. Showers had great hot water and an intensive cleaning schedule was posted. We will return for the movies another time. Town is within walking/biking distance.

We have a fantastic stay, great location. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. As this was our first time at this camp ground. We can't wait to go back.

The staff were friendly and the grounds clean. However, allowing campers to excessively party with extremely loud music until midnight is unreasonable. The KOA ground crew drove by these two sites numerous times but never stopped to ask them to lower the music or to get the group under control. The narrow roads made it difficult to turn; cars had to back up to give us room. Overall disappointing.

The sites are not level in the street /site 241. Our self leveler had a hard time leveling it out. Our right side tires were off the ground. Normally a KOA has nice flat sites.

The campground was quiet especially after 10pm. Some kids were playing alone in the dark but facilities escorted them back to their site. Washrooms were impeccably clean as was the entire campground. We really appreciated having access to a dog park. We had a great time.

Found it expensive compared to other campgrounds...that would be the only thing that would make me reconsider staying again.

Very well kept Campground and extremely clean bathrooms. Staff were polite and very helpful. My only complaint is that, the roads within the campground weren’t clearly marked, weather it was a one way or 2 way traffic, or anything indicating a dead end, etc, etc. Other then the above mentioned issue, my stay was pleasant and would visit KOA Sussex again

The sites are incredibly small. Felt like we were on top of each other. Theme was Christmas in July however no activities for kids and when Santa went around on a wagon and he only stopped at seasonals for a picture. Our kids were very disappointed.

Great location. Very clean ... bathroom could be scrubbed more. Love the pool.. ..rules not followed...at all Beautiful sites.. Store could be open longer Overall spent 5 nights on 2 occassions this year and coming back at end of month for Tristan Horncastle and Chris Cummings.

Had an absolute blast. Had heard many wonderful things but did not expect it to be so beautiful, well kept, tidy, friendly, clean. A truly world class destination and I can't wait to come back.

A nice campground. Friendly staff. However there should be more garbage cans available and the ones strictly for dog feces should be marked as such. The morning we were checking out we discovered that the staff had given us our friends gate card by mistake so we traded with them so that we had the proper one to turn in. We misplaced our card then and were told we had to pay $50. We payed $25

Loved the sites and felt very safe there. The security driving around was fantastic at this time of covid. The staff was friendly and very polite and helpful. Will be back soon!

We enjoyed our stay overall but on the second day we did not have any water pressure and at one point no water at all. This was not rectified even after notifying the park office.

We found the staff very welcoming and helpful. The grounds were tidy and well kept up. Nice Campground facilities. We were there to visit our daughter and her young family, who are new seasonal campers. The neighbors across the road from her site played Extremely loud Heavy Metal music-from 4 pm until 10 pm. Annoying!! The public showers had absolutely no water pressure -Frustrating!

We had a great time. Wish there was more than one bathroom in our section (303) the toilets take forever to fill back up to flush. The kids loved the pool and we will definitely be returning again this summer � Thank you

The camping and the personnel was great, but I didn’t appreciate when we arrived earlier than expected and being charged 15$ because arriving at noon. The rate is already higher than any other camping, and because we arrived early there is another added fee, I didn’t appreciate that at all. This is why I won’t recommend this camping.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Check out is at 11am and check-in is at 3PM to allow enough time to clean fire pits, garbage, cut the grass, etc. Arriving early means we have to dedicate staff to doing specific sites first and that comes with a cost to ensure they are ready. Like hotels, sometimes you can get in early and not.

The campground was good but the price was way to high.

Campground was clean, staff were friendly. Our site was between two playgrounds, which isn't ideal as we didn't have kids with us. The first night was fine. The second night there was a country concert shown on the drive in screen. Before and after the show, some of the other campers were loud and rowdy. Lots of drinking and urinating in the bushes by the renter's across from us.

- very high price for not much to do - trail is not clean or taking care of properly.. was told there was a place to eat and have a snack by the river but there was just overgrown lawn and no where to sit - thank god for the pools to entertain our kids - alot of seasonal partying with loud music

Our stay was great, really enjoyed the drive in. The pool could have been cleaner, and the washrooms needed to be tended to a little more frequently. Toilet paper, paper towel Shower was nice and clean, staff were very friendly.

I wish the store would have had more food. Very little choice. Also we did not see security pass by once and our "neighbors" were being very loud, very late. Maybe if security was around they would've been quieter. Also I thought there was a fire ban but people were making campfires. I wish they would have given me more information at check in about wifi and that a movie was playing that night.

There was a campfire ban and people still had fires. Bathrooms weren’t kept as clean as it should have been with covid. There were also extra fee for coming early. The sites was supposed to be clean and it wasn’t. There were cigarette butts thrown all over along with food and some garbage. A welcome package wasn’t provided like other campgrounds i.e. garbage bag, pamphlets of things to do in

Hi Shelia, Sorry to hear your stay was not perfect. When the province put on a fire ban, they are not allowed. But you can still have a propane fire, just not a wood burning fire. Check in is 3pm, if you want to check in early, yes there is a fee.

What an amazing campground!!! Stayed with my family for one week an we had a blast. Campground and Bathrooms were impeccable!!! The owner, Don, even swung by one night asking if everything was fine!!! How is that for service!

tranquile, pour adulte et une tente c'était trers bien. Cinéparc juste a coté du camping. employés sympatiques petit hick et je les ai avisé : la poubelle de la salle de bain ne fut pas changer pour deux jour, donc je questionne le nettoyage de la salle de bain meme si elle paraissait propre. bien positionner proche de la high way, ce n'était pas si bruyant
