This is our second time staying here. Both times have been pleasant and we enjoy staying in upper Chardonnay however there was an incident on Saturday evening with a guest in space #28 who was drunk and belligerent towards another guest yelling he was in the aryan brotherhood. Staff talked to him and he was back in another site Sunday evening. We were very disappointed.

Pretty good. Not a big complaint to me but for some people (glampers) I could see them complaining about the building that where old and falling apart or the old restrooms. Everything worked fine though and the pools were nice cold in the bigger ones but once you acclimated I was fine. My kids loved it and the round of mini golf we played. It would have been nice to see smaller hoops for my sons

We enjoy the campground and the amenities. The staff is great and it’s not too far from home.

We had a relaxing trip. My only criticism is that the sprinklers in the Chardonnay Mesa area 66-71 seemed to be turned ALL the way up. They drenched 3 of our kids who couldn’t get out of the way fast enough when they turned on a Saturday night and 1/2 of our campsite (chairs, table, rug, personal items, etc…) got soaked from them.

I really liked the Arroyo Seco section. It’s very roomy and somewhat secluded. Loved the Mountain View.

My stay was very pleasant. All of the workers in yellow t-shirts were very helpful. I needed help with the electric plug and had several questions about where the lake was, fishing, pools, etc. When my hand went up they stopped. � love the spacious sites. It was very nice. We were on an inside camp area so it was very crowded and noisy, next time we will make sure to get on the outside sites.

Treated very badly by rude staff. I’m guessing this was because we rented the less expensive space. Restrooms were dirty and in disrepair. I would not consider using the shower. No WiFi or internet even though advertised. Tent area was like a ghetto. We paid for 2 nights only stayed for one. Very bad experience.

We had a good time camping here, a lot of open space to go hiking, mountain biking, and horse ridding, very friendly place, nice clean pool, and a lot of spot and locations to camp, lots of trees. Wine country is +/-5 miles from the campground. I will return.

We loved everything about our weekend and the camp experience was terrific. The Friday night band (Purple Sunset) was fabulous and a great way to start our weekend. We didn’t get a chance to see the entertainment Saturday night. Every staff member was friendly, helpful and made our vacation a wonderful experience. Thanks so much, we already made reservations for next year.

We have lived in the Temecula/Murrieta area since 1995 and this has our first time visiting the KOA/Vail Lake. My wife, dog and I were very impressed with the sites and ended up signing up for KOA. We stayed in Chardonnay sites and will be booking more trips in years to come with our travel trailer.

Since we got there when it was dark, it would have been nice to have more wayfinding signs, as the place is huge! We stayed in the no electricity hookup area and had the luxury of being nearly alone. It has some nice amenities, and it was in a very lovely spot. Thank you for having us!

The campground was nice and clean. The only thing I didn’t like about it was all the dirt. It kinda sucks when there is no concrete or grass.

Our wallet was stolen from our dash the first night there. Not much can be done, but when you’re driving in and see the gate attendant literally sleeping on the job…Makes you rethink visiting this place again after this experience.

Very clean , courteous and quiet. Staff was friendly stores were convenient. Loved activities for little ones. Especially barrel train. I would consider bike rental in future.

1st time staying at Vail Lake KOA. Lots to do, and sites are big and not cramped. Very pleasant stay.

Good trip overall. I know you get a lot of people through your camp ground but you have tons of staff. Should put some emphasis and priority in to making the little things look clean. Mini golf was super run down and basketball hoop was broken. Even if other things are good little things like this can take away from the over all vibe.

Where do I start...this is a Mountain Bike KOA, the place is huge, multiple levels, versatile views, clean, really fun stay Luv their store, they have a restaurant and another building with a full bar, as u can see from my pics they also have outdoor dining, weekends they feature live music on stage for free Miniature Golf, Bouce Ball, Volleyball, Arts and Crafts, train for kids to ride, 3 swimming pools one of which is for smaller children, think its only 1 1/2' deep, lap pool and party pool, I'm sure they have more than what I've listed They r currently finishing up their newest area of tiny houses for renting, they are 2 story and include front deck and patio with fireplace, the area sits on top of a ravine Again on weekends they have golf carts driving around selling cocktails right at ur door Bathrooms and laundry r large and clean, staff is very accommodating Holidays here r over the moon and booked years in advance, think of amazing decorations and additional activities Spaces r all sizes and manicured, we truly feel this is one of those places where u have no worries and don't have to spend time taking care of things, just call them and ask for help...this place is really about making sure u can relax, stop and smell the flowers vibe I've seen incredible parties here and big time family enjoyment, views everywhere, people r just happy all around u...ur close to town, casino and wineries If we could I think we would live here full-time It's definitely a place u want to visit...we can't wait to go back
