Firewood Policy

Bundles of firewood are available at the store from 7am-9pm 
$7.00 per Bundles.  Has to be Iowa Wood, if brought in. No burning of pallets allowed

Quiet Hours / Pet Policy

Our posted quiet hours are 10:30 PM - 8:30 AM. Please respect your neighbors by keeping the noise level to a minimum. 
ANY COMPLAINTS AFTER QUIET HOURS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE PROPERTY. NO REFUND 
THIS CORRESPONDS WITH OUR RIGHT TO REJECT NOTICE.

All Pets must be on 6ft or less leash inside campground.
Pick up after your pets. Disposal bags are provided throughout the campground. 
NO PETS IN SWIMMING AREA.

Severe Weather Information/Shelters

In cases of bad weather, both campground shower houses are to be used as shelters until weather passes.

Deluxe Lodge Security Deposit

To encourage our guests to take good care of their accommodations at Waterloo/Lost Island KOA, we charge a $150.00 security deposit. This deposit is due at reservation booking and needs to be on a credit card. Provided there are no issues, this deposit is fully refundable. We do expect that there will be absolutely no damage incurred by you or your party during your stay. We expect that you will treat your Lodge as if it were your own and that you will leave your Lodge clean, neat and undamaged at check-out. Cabin Check out cleaning lists are available in each Cabin. Failure to comply will result in loss of security deposit.  Cabin amenities are designed for each individual Cabin Max occupancy.  Any guests over the max permitted will be charged an additional $25 per night per person.  Unregistered guests will result in forfeiting entire security deposit. 


Full forfeiture of your security deposit occurs for any of the following: unauthorized pets,  smoking inside any unit, exceeding the occupancy limits of your initial reservation.

Lake Rules & Safety Info

Our Campground & Beach are designated for KOA Campers Only!  
No life guard on duty, please stay inside designated swim ropes, children 14 and under must be accompanied by a adult. 
Personal watercraft are NOT permitted in any area of water.
Kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes can be rented from the General Store.
Beach hours 8am - 8pm
FISHING IS CATCH & RELEASE  AND FOR ONSITE KOA CAMPERS ONLY! 
NO FISHING IN THE SWIM AREA!
Children must be 16 years of age to drive any personal golf carts or equipment around the campground.

2 CAR LIMIT & VISITOR POLICY

Guests are allowed NO MORE than 2 car passes per reservation & may NOT park more than 2 cars at their site. This is intended to avoid congestion on our roads. There is overflow parking at our gas station. All visitors must stop at the gas station and register. Cost per day is $10 per visitor, to enjoy our facilities. Parking at Station for all Visitors
