Zoo New York

Zoo New York

Before the dawn of modern America, bison and elk wandered the land now known as New York State, while lynx prowled in dense forests and giant eagles soared through the sky.  Though the landscape and inhabitants have drastically changed, many of these same animals can still be discovered in their natural habitat, at Zoo New York. The Thompson Park Zoo prides itself as being the only zoo in the world to exhibit species native to New York State. Abundant, threatened or endangered animals, including wolverines, black bears, eagles, mountain lions, Canada lynx, grey wolves, and more make their home at our 32-acre Zoo.
