The staff was wonderful and the showers and restrooms were very well cared. There was nothing wrong with the KOA it was just way too crowed and busy for us and the people we would recommend it to also. Again nothing wrong with it other than just way too crowed.

Poor internet, but otherwise great!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Due to our rural location there isn't anything we can do about the speed. There is a place in Winthrop that can help you get a wired connection for any big file/high speed needs.

The campsites were lovely. They were spaced apart. The lady at the store was very helpful about places to see locally. The store was well stocked. We understand about the COVID situation.

we stayed in a deluxe site and it was wonderful! The whole campground was very clean and the staff was very friendly!

Stayed for the weekend with our older children. It was nice, bummer the facilities were all closed due to covid, but still very nice.

Had a great trip here and the kids were fine with a lot of the amenities being closed as we were at the lake the majority of the time.

The park was clean. Staff were friendly. Good location. Camp sites were a bit too close for comfort. But the Wi-fi not working was the biggest ding against our stay. For some reason our cell data was not working in Winthrop. We were looking to research some local fishing while at the campground before continuing on our trip, but neither of us could log on.

Great for families with kids. But way to busy and noisy. If you want quiet camping this is not the place. Campsites were to close together. Gravel roads made it dusty. The campsite I was in was not very level. $60 night for just elect/water. On a good note the staff was very friendly but will not return to this KOA.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

RV parks are vastly different in structure than the rural camping spots. Private RV parks are not subsidized by taxes and must charge prices accordingly. If cost and noise is a concern, consider coming in the off season. The campground is pretty full most in season weekends. The staff will be happy to let you know which days have less campers and which days cost less than the others.

I would usually give it a 10 but I felt like masks should have been required to enter the store and bathrooms. I felt a bit unsafe when other campers did not wear masks in. Even after the state mandated masks, the KOA wasn't requiring them in these spaces. Staff was friendly though.

Very crowded. To the point it’s not pleasant. Sites don’t have any room. Neighbors chatting until 3am. Not loudly but sites are so close together you can hear everything. Also considering COVID times There was no social distancing whatsoever all sites booked and they don’t have any room in between them. That said the Staff was very nice and campground is clean. Would not stay again or recom

Sorry to hear your neighbors were not considerate. As far as spacing is concerned the narrowest site is 33' wide, with the majority being much bigger. If space between is a concern, please talk to the staff about which sites would suit your needs. We also have a call box and after hours number for late night disturbances.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Sites were clean spacious. Only thing would be nice is to have the RV dumps pulled abit closer to other hookups so it didn’t feel like they were in the others campers space.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the bathroom facilities were the nicest I’ve ever seen at a campground. Overall, it was a great experience for my first time using a KOA. Thanks!

Great place! All the staff was friendly & helpful. The grounds were immaculately attended to & all the campers were friendly and followed all the rules. This place is set right along the Methow River and in great proximity to the town of Winthrop and all the adventures the North Cascades has to offer. Will definitely be back!

The staff has been very accommodating. They were able to move us to a full hookup site. They gave us crafts for the kids. Ideas for outings. The have done great for their guests under COVID-19 conditions

Nice campground, clean and convenient amenities - #42 Wonderful and helpful office/camp attendants. We had an emergency with our pet dog, who collapsed while taking a walk. We looked for a vet and the attendant came within minutes to give us options of the vets in the area and brought ice to help cool her water. She came through okay and is now home resting. TY

Had a very nice space. People were very friendly. A lot of the tree branches were just to low, our RV was rubbing them at 13'. Accommodated a full compliment of campers nicely. It was very clean and the store had plenty of amenities. We would go back.

Trimming trees is something we do on a consistent basis. Please let us know if you need branches trimmed to make plenty of space for your Rig.

Beautiful campground on the river. Nice big sites and clean bathrooms. I would have rated a 5 however there was so many barking dogs it was too noisy for our family to sleep in and visit nicely by our camp fire.

We are sorry to hear about the barking dogs. We have specific rules about not leaving dogs unattended to bark all day. Please stop by the office to let us know if this happens. We also have a call box and after hours number available if the store is closed.

KOA's are worth the price of their stay because of the extra fun amenities and activities. One of the bigger reasons we stay here is for the pool for the kids. i understand the reason for closure of it and other amenities! Just disappointed that the rates have not been reduced as a courtesy. Since this is the case, we will likely choose another less expensive campground next time we head over.

We are sorry to hear you were disappointed about the amenities being closed, these closures are out of our hands due to state mandates because of covid. We have a variety of activities and crafts for the children at the store at no extra charge that the children can do at their campsite. Prices vary depending on whether you come on the weekend vs weekday and in season vs off season.

We stayed in the Conestoga wagon and had the best experience! They were extremely clean as were the bathrooms! The staff was very friendly! We will be back and have already told multiple friends about our stay!

Camp grounds were very nice and clean and well maintained. Some of the camp sites had convenient sewer hook ups. Ours did not. It was a very long distance from where we needed to park our RV and it was located very close to our neighbor's picnic table. We didn't use it. As well, our other neighbor hooked up their sewer line right next to our picnic table. Very friendly and helpful employees.

The spaces are very small. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean. We were there while a huge gathering was going on who were noisier than noisy. Staff had to tell them to be quiet but didn’t until after 11pm. Had there been more spacing it might not have been as bad. However, they had adorable little cabins too.

It was a friendly, busy place to stay. The site we got was T23? T22? It was mostly dirt and ants, but did the job. Quiet hours were observed which was a nice change from when we stayed a few years ago. Darn covid just kind of took the joy from us being a family with three small kids. No playground and no pool we thought would be ok, but turns out was really a bummer. Gold mining was a hit though!

We are sorry to hear about your experience. In addition to the mining, we also have a variety of activities and crafts the children can do at their sites for no extra charge. The staff is also happy to let you know about the trails, lake, and other outdoor activities open in the area.

Campsite was very large, perfect enclosed patio with hot tub. My grandkids enjoyed it, as well as my dog.

The utilities hookups need to be more centered to accommodate older and new trailers, the plumbing out of the ground for the black water was way to high. And while I respect your a private property i cannot support a place that doesn’t allow me to Exercise my 2nd amendment rights. Especially in a rural area with coyotes, bears, snakes ect...

Excellent friendly service. Very clean cabin and bathrooms. The pavilion with sinks and dishwashing capabilities was huge bonus. Dog run was loved by the dogs.

The campground was very clean and spacious. Great spot to ride out of with Bikes, jeep, car and explore the area. A grocery and Ace hardware are with in walking distance. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and willing to help or answer questions. We will be back again. Thank you for an enjoyable, pleasent stay.

Staff was very courteous and friendly, camp grounds were clean and we'll kept up. Bathrooms were very nice and clean.

Perfect autumn mid week getaway, we practically had the place to ourselves. Staff was amazing, bathrooms were spotless, we couldn't have found a better place to spend a few days away from home.

We stayed a the cabin, it's one of the cleanest koa we stayed in, very well maintained and managed, the toilets and showers are super clean. Checked in staffs are super friendly too.
