Discover the beauty of the Star Valley Scenic Byway, Wyoming's newest designated route. This 80-mile stretch of U.S. 89 in Lincoln County begins at the Idaho border near Geneva Junction and climbs through Salt Canyon to the stunning views from Salt River Pass. The byway then descends into Star Valley, traversing the towns of Smoot, Afton, Grover, Thayne, and Etna before continuing east on U.S. 26-89 through Snake River Canyon to its terminus near Hoback Junction.

See the world's largest elk antler arch in Afton, Wyoming! Made from 3,011 antlers, this 75-foot wide, 15-ton arch is a must-see in downtown Afton. Snap a photo and then discover the town's shops and restaurants.
A hike for all ages. The trail starts on the north side of Cottonwood Lake and then moves southeast along the east side of the lake. The trail is unpaved but very flat, easy for kids. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of Cottonwood Lake's clear, cold waters. While the lake is quite remote, car traffic to and from the lake can be fairly heavy in peak summer months. The road to drive can be quite bumpy.Directions: From Afton, Wyoming, head south on United States Highway 89 for approximately 8.3 miles, then make left turn on Cottonwood Creek Road/County Road 153. Shortly after the Cottonwood Creek Road enters the Bridger-Teton National Forest and turns into Forest Service Road 10208 (FS-10208). Follow FS-10308 for about 6 miles to the lake.

Haderlie Farms is a diversified family farm located in Thayne, WY in the beautiful Star Valley. We grow various vegetables, cut flowers and herbs as well as raise grass fed and finished beef and pork. We also offer raw milk from our herd of Jersey cows. None of our animals are given hormones and/or antibiotics and all of the vegetables and flowers are grown using organic principles. As well, we focus on creating a mineralized, biologically active soil to grow nutrient dense plants for our customers and our animals.We also offer composting services in Star Valley and Jackson through WyoFarm Composting.We have an on-farm store that is open 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our store offers Karen's freshly baked treats and various hot and cold drinks as well as our locally produced Wind River Herbs and Wyoming Soaps products.
