This was the friendliest KOA’s we have ever stayed in. Park was clean and they had a fantastic store. At the free pancake breakfast everyone sat and chatted like one big family. What a great place !!!

The cabin was clean, the a/c was cold during a very hot stay, the beds were comfortable, the front patio with furniture fireplace and grill was an awesome perk, and the service was great! Thank you!

First off, I love the owners. Bob and Karen (and their staff) are warm and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in their campground and the improvements they have made. The spaces are all well kept, and they have escorts show you to your space and help you get parked. Check out the premium spaces. They are fantastic! My family also enjoyed the pancake breakfast as well as the pool.

Very well managed campground. Internet was awesome throughout out three night stay. Food service menu (breakfast and dinner) was great and food was actually very good. Free pancakes for breakfast is a nice touch.

Staff was fantastic! Free pancakes were wonderful! Downside is the shower facilities. With only 8 showers for such a massive campground, we had lots of issues with waiting for showers and flooding in the back showers didn’t help the situation.

Great RV park. Owner is very nice gentleman Who serves a free pancake breakfast every morning. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. There is a great dog park. They are building a beautiful addition right next to lovely small river. Staff is very friendly.

We have stayed at many KOAs, this is the best and all the staff are great and helpful. Thanks for a great stop on our journey.

Friendly, helpful staff. For an RV Park, at least at our site, things did not seem overly crowded. Nicely placed to put you in reach of the major sites in the region. Nice perks as well.

Bob is awesome. The grounds are clean and cared for. The added homey touches like the food they provide and the extra activities are great

This was the best KOA we have ever stayed at. It was very clean and well maintained. There were lots of activities to keep our family busy and happy. Most importantly, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will be staying here again!

Love the location and all the amenities. Will definitely return when in the area.

Our reservation was last minute and only for the night. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Nice touch with the pancakes in the morning!

Great place great people. Got to meet a fellow Seabee that works there.

Great WiFi, convenient dinner and breakfast options and well stocked camp store. Only complaint would be the shower rooms - in need of a good clean.

The showers are horrible. Mold growing inside them and are dirty.

The staff was so accommodating, kind, and helpful.

Beautiful KOA 6 mi from entrance to Badlands NP. Very well maintained campground. Friendly staff. Free pancake breakfast to feed hungry teenagers. Beautiful pool. Huge dog park!

Great place. Need to enforce 10P.M. quiet time rule though. Both nights I had little sleep because people were loud, slamming car doors, and partying.

This was our favorite KOA that we ha e ever stayed at!!

On 2nd night of stay, a man in staff shirt (the owner ?) told me he received 3 phone calls night before at 2am. Complaints of fighting at our site.Another complaint that afternoon. He said if any more complaints the sheriff will arrest me and my teenage son.My car impounded. We were not fighting. If we were too loud, we did not know. After that, I did not feel welcome or safe.Threats were unnecessary,

We really enjoyed the yurt. However, the bathroom we needed to use was out of toilet paper more than once. They were notified and it took 2 hours for us to get toilet paper. The pool was supposed to open at 10 am with a checkout time of 11 am. We waited until 10:30 and had to find someone to unlock the gate.

Very nice sites....spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cafe had yummy pizza and very convenient. Dog park was awesome. Spacious and grassy. And a dog wash next to it. Overall a nice KOA.

The campground is just OK. Lots of biting flys. Snake at campsite. My biggest complaint is the fact we were charged $10.00 because we asked for campsite next to friends traveling with. They were also charged an extra $10.00. That’s ridiculous.

This is definitely the place to stay if you're in the Badlands. We really appreciated being down by the river, away from the crazy wind, and around some trees for shade. Lots of amenities - the place is busy!

It was a nice stay and the camper cabin was very clean.

Loved the pet playground but there was not much near this campground to eat or buy groceries. We ate at the cook shack one night and the kitchen was totally overwhelmed for the size of the crowd. Staff were pleasant

Wasn’t aware that “full hookup” didn’t include septic but they do offer pump out service for a fee. The site was very small and we had to park our trucks in the owners house parking area as we couldn’t fit either on the site with the camper. The area was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The food from the cookhouse on site was good.

Laundry was ridiculously expensive. $2.75 for wash; $1.00 for 20 minutes to dry, but 20 minutes is not enough. Total of $8.00 for two loads. When travelling west on I-90, don't let GPS take you down CR-6, unless your in for an adventure. The road is safe and very passable but not what you think!

Liked the location to the Badlands, that your sites have trees and that you have a pool. Also, the owners are friendly and accommodating and the free pancakes every morning is a great idea and they tasted great. We'll be back one day for sure.

Nicely wooded, staff was friendly, washers and dryers worked well, quiet. Read about this location in a top 10 listicle, and would definitely recommend. Stayed here 4 nights with a travel trailer.

Rating: 4/5 from a KOA Holiday perspective Overall: We stayed 1 night in September 2021 with a 37ft Class A with a tow vehicle. Nice KOA Holiday with many options for RV and camping sites and lots of shade (vs. the Cedar Pass Badlands campground). Overpriced for a 1-night stop for which Cedar Pass may be a better choice, but a great option if you plan to spend multiple nights and enjoy the amenities. Campsite/Campground: The campground was very spacious and overall easy to maneuver. We had some confusion on the way out due to some one-way signs, but cleared driving the wrong way in a one-way with staff and made it out ok :) . Great shade in many sites, especially Jackalope Lane, Prairie Dog Trail, turkey run, Coyote Path, and Hoot Owl Drive. We had site 143 which was a patio site with LOTS of space between sites. Great site if you plan to spend a few days or week, but over priced for a quick stayover as we didn't have time to enjoy the space. Hookups: We had 50A and full hookup site with patio that included a table, chairs and propane grill. Furniture was brand new and in great condition. Hookups were a challenge – they were very far from the rig and we needed to be creative to get the sewer lines connected (see picture). Glad we had extensions! Amenities: The site looked to have great amenities. The breakfast was held in a brand-new pole barn and overall things were well kept, we just didn't have time to enjoy them with a 1-night stay. Service/Staff: Staff was good at check-in. Other: We have stayed at both the KOA and Cedar Pass campground. Cedar Pass has its challenges (from flooding to windstorms). If you are looking to stay between the two, we would suggest that if you have a soft-sided camping unit (tent or pop-up) then the KOA is the best choice to avoid flooding or wind issues. The KOA is also the best place if you are spending more than one night, as it has amenities vs. Cedar Pass which has none other than showers/restrooms. If you have a hard-sided camper and are doing a 1-night stay, Cedar Pass may be a better option with better views.
