The campground was conveniently located to the Badlands. Campground was very clean and the sites had plenty of space however a little difficult to pull out due to narrow roads. The owner needs a serious attitude adjustment. She was very rude and unprofessional along with several of her staff. I’ve never ever seen this type of ignorant behavior at a KOA before.

Loved this KOA. Great location, near all the hiking trails. Campsite was clean, great tree cover, spacious patio, our deluxe cabin had all the linens provided. It was great!!

Everyone friendly and well organized. They all knew their jobs and we had an awesome excellent family vacation! Thank you!

The KOA itself is maintained very well. Well stocked store with just about everything that you might have forgotten. Amenities were very nice. Gave it a 7 for recommending to family & friends because it is very far away from touristy type of things. Very nice if you want to walk the badlands and explore the immediate vicinity. But if this is your first time in the area may to be want closer in.

This KOA is awesome! Great location and proximity to Badlands National Park. Beautiful shaded sites. Owners take a lot of pride in maintaining the property and offering great amenities. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend.

It would have been nice to know the pool was out of order before we arrived seeing as it was probably broken for a bit but everything else was great. Having a restaurant on site was perfect after a long day of travel. Lots of activities and nice scenery. The staff was very friendly. Very nice KOA.

Nice being close to the park. To bad the pool was closed since it was hot outside. Nice dog park.

Small but well equipped shop. Awesome staff. Really nice camp grounds and facilities. Especially loved the breakfast for the kids.

Amazing friendly people greeted us, and helped us get situated in our site. Great food served, we had Indian flatbread tacos. The landscape is very nice with full grown trees right next to the river. Free pancake breakfast! Pool was broken so that was a bummer.

Bob and Karen could not be better hosts, and the entire staff is wonderful. The store is well-stocked and the pancake breakfasts are such a nice touch. I will definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area.

One of the main reasons we have stayed here in the past (10 years ago) was the pool and the air conditioning in the cabins. The pool was closed and the air conditioning barely worked. We enjoyed the pancakes in the morning and the bathrooms were reasonably clean.

Well maintained, friendly staff, beautiful mature trees offer needed shade, and easily accessible to Badlands NP. We will be back.

Everything was great except that there was no pool since the pump was broken. Apparently the pool pump had been out for three weeks. I mentioned to a lady in the office that it would have been nice if we were notified about that and she said it was on their website….but I didn’t see it? It was 90 plus degrees out and the kids were disappointed about that especially after driving 12 hours to sw

Not happy with the front desk at registration. Paid extra for a special request sight and it was not worth the money. Went to use the restroom ...no toilet paper. Literally packed up and left to another campground

Great location for touring the Badlands. Large dog park. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

It is a very good location near the Badlands. We had to cut our stay short due to a family issue and they were very kind in giving us a refund for our last night.

Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast and dinner, nice big dog run and we took our dogs down to the river to play in the water.

Very clean and well maintained campground. Enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

Wonderful place to stay! Very clean and well kept. Only disappointment was the pool wasn’t open due to waiting on parts. Would definitely stay again!

Two different stays about a week apart from each other. Pool is CLOSED and they claim they are waiting on a pump (for more than a month!). When you are in this business, you need to have the amenities available as advertised. Go somewhere to get the pump OR compensate your visitors by providing another amenity free of charge (bike rentals, firewood...). Disappointed - twice!

We stayed at 3 different KOAs on our trip to Yellowstone. This was our first stop. We only stayed one night but the customer service here blew the others out of the water. We were immediately greeted when we pulled in, quick but friendly check-in, then guided to our spot. Bob and Karen were amazing. Highly recommend & wish we stayed longer. Bonus: You have to drive thru the badlands to get here!

One night stay. Super friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay. Very clean and well maintained. Spacious sites. Lots of shade trees.

Lovely park, with trees, nearby building for showers, seems to be a well managed park.

Very quiet area in the shade of trees (hard to find in the badlands).

Everything was clean and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! We loved our time here and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Nicely wooded, staff was friendly, washers and dryers worked well, quiet. Read about this location in a top 10 listicle, and would definitely recommend. Stayed here 4 nights with a travel trailer.

Rating: 4/5 from a KOA Holiday perspective Overall: We stayed 1 night in September 2021 with a 37ft Class A with a tow vehicle. Nice KOA Holiday with many options for RV and camping sites and lots of shade (vs. the Cedar Pass Badlands campground). Overpriced for a 1-night stop for which Cedar Pass may be a better choice, but a great option if you plan to spend multiple nights and enjoy the amenities. Campsite/Campground: The campground was very spacious and overall easy to maneuver. We had some confusion on the way out due to some one-way signs, but cleared driving the wrong way in a one-way with staff and made it out ok :) . Great shade in many sites, especially Jackalope Lane, Prairie Dog Trail, turkey run, Coyote Path, and Hoot Owl Drive. We had site 143 which was a patio site with LOTS of space between sites. Great site if you plan to spend a few days or week, but over priced for a quick stayover as we didn't have time to enjoy the space. Hookups: We had 50A and full hookup site with patio that included a table, chairs and propane grill. Furniture was brand new and in great condition. Hookups were a challenge – they were very far from the rig and we needed to be creative to get the sewer lines connected (see picture). Glad we had extensions! Amenities: The site looked to have great amenities. The breakfast was held in a brand-new pole barn and overall things were well kept, we just didn't have time to enjoy them with a 1-night stay. Service/Staff: Staff was good at check-in. Other: We have stayed at both the KOA and Cedar Pass campground. Cedar Pass has its challenges (from flooding to windstorms). If you are looking to stay between the two, we would suggest that if you have a soft-sided camping unit (tent or pop-up) then the KOA is the best choice to avoid flooding or wind issues. The KOA is also the best place if you are spending more than one night, as it has amenities vs. Cedar Pass which has none other than showers/restrooms. If you have a hard-sided camper and are doing a 1-night stay, Cedar Pass may be a better option with better views.
