Beautiful location! The cabin was perfect home base for a family of 4. Heat and AC worked well. Would stay again!

Facilities were ok for a night but sites were very close together and the next campsite’s dog barked frequently. In all fairness I am a backpacker and this was a one night stop on my way to a backpacking trip. It got the job done and it looked like it might be fun for families.

We stay in cabins at lots of KOAs. Sorry to say that the bathroom- showers were in terrible condition. Mens and womens. Sinks drained slow and counter soaking wet. Showers were filthy . Would only use 1 of 3 in the mens and wife even went to bed dirty the third nite. Couldn't blame her. Toilet had to be plunged to be used. It was pitiful. Light and fan in cabin 92 sub par as well as the heater.

This is such a beautiful location! We really enjoyed our stay and there was so much to do…from hiking the White River to a fire at night under the stars. The kiddos loved it!

We've stayed here every time we have visited the Badlands. Very clean, comfortable, and nice sites. Shade everywhere. We really enjoy it here and will continue to stay at Badlands,/White River KOA upon our next trip to the Badlands.

Staff was ok. Sites were nice with some shade. Bathroom was clean and well laid out. Lots of speed bumps, :-/ Located in a beautiful river valley... Very quiet!

Clean, quiet park. Very accommodating.

I really appreciated the amount of food the store had stocked given how remote this was- even produce which is rare. We were able to get a couple days worth of food to keep us rolling without having to stop at a store.

The grounds were well laid out and roomy. However the flies were atrocious! We killed over 30 inside! Outside the small table had at least 15 as they swarmed our drinks. Many more on the sides of the RV. Would not stay here again.

We arrived late, a map with detailed instructions were waiting for us which made it easy to locate our site. The campground and bathrooms were clean. Great location and we hope to return and explore the Badlands National Park.

Nice campground. We had travel trailer. All utilities worked fine, had a very level gravel pull thru site with shade. It was very clean and well maintained.. People were very friendly. Only stayed one night.

Bathrooms were filthy. I don’t think the toilet or shower has been scrubbed all season. I liked the sink to wash dishes though. That was a nice amenity.

Enjoyed our stay. Close to all the sights. Great pizza from the Kookshack at the campground. Our only complaint was the smell from the lagoon when the wind was blowing toward us. If we had been in another part of the campground, I don't think we'd have noticed.

Entrance to campground full of ruts, gravel pads not groomed, it appeared that the mower and weed eater broke mid summer and nothing has been done since.

For a Kia holiday site had no room. Pull thru short utilities hookups bad

Loved this KOA, as well as the Badlands. We had a spacious site with a patio and pretty lilac bushes, nice shade throughout. The dog park was huge and staff was friendly. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.

The sites were roomy and had many trees. Unlike a lot of KOA’s that cram you in like a parking lot. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this campground.

My fourth stay and I'll come back.

Workers were friendly and willing to help.

We stayed here back in 1994 with our kids, and loved it then because of its beauty and solitude. Now we’re traveling again and wanted to experience it again; just as peaceful and convenient to the Badlands as before, but we got to take our time and explore the area more. Perfect spot to enjoy Wall and the Badlands!

Nice Park near the Badlands NP. Clean restrooms, our site was a little uneven (but manageable), very good wifi and staff was helpful.

Bathroom was ok. One bathhouse was not very clean. Hand dryer was not working and no paper towels. Sites were ok. Was just passing through so it was ok for one night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Owners ought to put a little money into the campground.

Great staff and site was perfect

Even though we were only there for 1 night this time we will definitely be back. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The dog area is great. Thanks for everything!

Employees were very friendly and helpful. Only concerning issue was the office was not aware of our reservation. Luckily we arrived right at closing and someone was still available. Should we have arrived late in the evening there would not have been an envelope with check in instructions for us. It is quite possible another customer without a reservation could have taken our 40ft spot.

Nicely wooded, staff was friendly, washers and dryers worked well, quiet. Read about this location in a top 10 listicle, and would definitely recommend. Stayed here 4 nights with a travel trailer.

Rating: 4/5 from a KOA Holiday perspective Overall: We stayed 1 night in September 2021 with a 37ft Class A with a tow vehicle. Nice KOA Holiday with many options for RV and camping sites and lots of shade (vs. the Cedar Pass Badlands campground). Overpriced for a 1-night stop for which Cedar Pass may be a better choice, but a great option if you plan to spend multiple nights and enjoy the amenities. Campsite/Campground: The campground was very spacious and overall easy to maneuver. We had some confusion on the way out due to some one-way signs, but cleared driving the wrong way in a one-way with staff and made it out ok :) . Great shade in many sites, especially Jackalope Lane, Prairie Dog Trail, turkey run, Coyote Path, and Hoot Owl Drive. We had site 143 which was a patio site with LOTS of space between sites. Great site if you plan to spend a few days or week, but over priced for a quick stayover as we didn't have time to enjoy the space. Hookups: We had 50A and full hookup site with patio that included a table, chairs and propane grill. Furniture was brand new and in great condition. Hookups were a challenge – they were very far from the rig and we needed to be creative to get the sewer lines connected (see picture). Glad we had extensions! Amenities: The site looked to have great amenities. The breakfast was held in a brand-new pole barn and overall things were well kept, we just didn't have time to enjoy them with a 1-night stay. Service/Staff: Staff was good at check-in. Other: We have stayed at both the KOA and Cedar Pass campground. Cedar Pass has its challenges (from flooding to windstorms). If you are looking to stay between the two, we would suggest that if you have a soft-sided camping unit (tent or pop-up) then the KOA is the best choice to avoid flooding or wind issues. The KOA is also the best place if you are spending more than one night, as it has amenities vs. Cedar Pass which has none other than showers/restrooms. If you have a hard-sided camper and are doing a 1-night stay, Cedar Pass may be a better option with better views.
