Very nice sites....spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cafe had yummy pizza and very convenient. Dog park was awesome. Spacious and grassy. And a dog wash next to it. Overall a nice KOA.

The campground is just OK. Lots of biting flys. Snake at campsite. My biggest complaint is the fact we were charged $10.00 because we asked for campsite next to friends traveling with. They were also charged an extra $10.00. That’s ridiculous.

This is definitely the place to stay if you're in the Badlands. We really appreciated being down by the river, away from the crazy wind, and around some trees for shade. Lots of amenities - the place is busy!

Loved the pet playground but there was not much near this campground to eat or buy groceries. We ate at the cook shack one night and the kitchen was totally overwhelmed for the size of the crowd. Staff were pleasant

Wasn’t aware that “full hookup” didn’t include septic but they do offer pump out service for a fee. The site was very small and we had to park our trucks in the owners house parking area as we couldn’t fit either on the site with the camper. The area was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The food from the cookhouse on site was good.

Laundry was ridiculously expensive. $2.75 for wash; $1.00 for 20 minutes to dry, but 20 minutes is not enough. Total of $8.00 for two loads. When travelling west on I-90, don't let GPS take you down CR-6, unless your in for an adventure. The road is safe and very passable but not what you think!

Liked the location to the Badlands, that your sites have trees and that you have a pool. Also, the owners are friendly and accommodating and the free pancakes every morning is a great idea and they tasted great. We'll be back one day for sure.

We stayed two nights on the 3rd and 4th of July. It was 105 on the 3rd and 100 on the 4th. The heat made it practically impossible to do anything and actually enjoy it. The a/c in the deluxe cabin was sporadic at best so that didn’t help any. I would imagine that the extreme heat had a lot to do with it. But A/Cs are made to cool in hot weather. KOA did have a nice cabin and the staff was great!

Great campground with everything you need. We had a nice shaded spot with water and electric. The kids got to play mini golf. The grounds were very well maintained. We'll definitely be back.

Enjoyed the quick check-in and professional staff. The on-site cooking kitchen was a nice surprise.

After being held up on our trip for repairs Karen held our spot open and was able to accommodate us for the Fourth of July weekend. The park was very nice and obviously operated with a high degree of customer service and satisfaction. We highly recommend this KOA

Very Relaxing. Love your pet area.

Very friendly and helpful people and a great location right outside of the badlands. The only negative was that the showers were not very clean

Another beautiful KOA. Just another reason we love to stay at KOAs. These campgrounds are always clean and the staff is always wondeful.

Nice park with trees. The facilities are clean and well maintained. They have a place to pick up a burger or pizza for dinner in an area where restaurants are scarce. They location is close to the Badlands NP. Friendly owners and staff.

We had a nice stay. Our campground was shaded and all of the employees were very nice. We did not use the pool, laundry or order food.

Close to the National Park. The staff were FANTASTIC... so friendly & informative. The biggest K-9 Club we have seen. Great experience.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! All the staff including, Levi were outstanding. We will be back! Also thanks for the breakfast!

The bathrooms and showers stunk like they hadn't been cleaned for days in 90+ degrees heat. The bathrooms and showers at all of the other KOAs we've stayed at have been very clean. This KOA is a disgrace.

Good campground especially for touring the Badlands. Lots of shade. Really appreciate the investment in wifi infrastructure as cell service is non-existent. The free pancakes are great, too!

Great park.

Good if you just need to park for a night/sleep. Lots of bugs, LOTS! If you ask for directions to tourist trap (missile museum/site), owner won’t know. Showers-icky. If you ask at 9:33 where the pancakes are, they’ll tell you it’s breakfast, not brunch (in a condescending tone-it ended at 9:30). This was all with the owner lady. Other worker lady nice. The goods=dry firewood, easy pull thr

Great location. Good food at the on-site cook shack!

The park is a very family oriented place. They encourage interaction with other guest!

Nice sites, shaded. Very good food at the snack bar outside.

Well maintained campground, friendly staff and delicious dinner and breakfast! Small sites, close together so not much privacy. Best option for your Badlands stay!

The worst experience I have ever had with a KOA. Terrible check-in, too much trying to sell food instead of waiting on the customers in the huge line. Even after we were checked in with the office we had to wait 45 minutes for ONE MAN to take each rig to their spot. Campsite itself had the neighbors water spickit right out by our rigs steps, so stupid!!!! Getting out was just as bad!!!

Very friendly and had good information to share. Shop was well stocked. Nice grounds and pool. The bathrooms could use a little updating.

Very friendly staff. Clean facilities. We will be back!

Great location near Badlands NP. Breakfast and a pool too.

Well maintained. Stewardship and posting of safety and guidelines very clear. Options for healthy food was a must. General store had good variety--espeically important so far out! TY. Facilities clean. Showers a little dated and could use updates.

One of the best campgrounds we’ve stayed at! Friendly staff, great accommodations and an easy, flat pull through site. What more could weary travelers ask for? Oh yea, the free pancakes for breakfast were awesome!

Being close to the river was gorgeous except for the bugs. Beautiful property. Staff was very friendly

Beautiful and well maintained campground. Staff was friendly. Would have been nice to have the amenities like putt putt and peddle carts for the kids included like other KOAs.

Overall a very good campground. Site are a little close together with no privacy are my only issues. Free morning pancakes were a nice bonus.

Smell from water treatment facilities was a bummer. Bathrooms need some attention Otherwise a nice shady campground close to park

Nicely wooded, staff was friendly, washers and dryers worked well, quiet. Read about this location in a top 10 listicle, and would definitely recommend. Stayed here 4 nights with a travel trailer.

Rating: 4/5 from a KOA Holiday perspective Overall: We stayed 1 night in September 2021 with a 37ft Class A with a tow vehicle. Nice KOA Holiday with many options for RV and camping sites and lots of shade (vs. the Cedar Pass Badlands campground). Overpriced for a 1-night stop for which Cedar Pass may be a better choice, but a great option if you plan to spend multiple nights and enjoy the amenities. Campsite/Campground: The campground was very spacious and overall easy to maneuver. We had some confusion on the way out due to some one-way signs, but cleared driving the wrong way in a one-way with staff and made it out ok :) . Great shade in many sites, especially Jackalope Lane, Prairie Dog Trail, turkey run, Coyote Path, and Hoot Owl Drive. We had site 143 which was a patio site with LOTS of space between sites. Great site if you plan to spend a few days or week, but over priced for a quick stayover as we didn't have time to enjoy the space. Hookups: We had 50A and full hookup site with patio that included a table, chairs and propane grill. Furniture was brand new and in great condition. Hookups were a challenge – they were very far from the rig and we needed to be creative to get the sewer lines connected (see picture). Glad we had extensions! Amenities: The site looked to have great amenities. The breakfast was held in a brand-new pole barn and overall things were well kept, we just didn't have time to enjoy them with a 1-night stay. Service/Staff: Staff was good at check-in. Other: We have stayed at both the KOA and Cedar Pass campground. Cedar Pass has its challenges (from flooding to windstorms). If you are looking to stay between the two, we would suggest that if you have a soft-sided camping unit (tent or pop-up) then the KOA is the best choice to avoid flooding or wind issues. The KOA is also the best place if you are spending more than one night, as it has amenities vs. Cedar Pass which has none other than showers/restrooms. If you have a hard-sided camper and are doing a 1-night stay, Cedar Pass may be a better option with better views.
