Very Nice. Really close to the park!!

This was the nicest campground we saw near the Badlands. A good amount of shade, clean facilities, great staff. The pool was down when we were there (June 2021) so that was disappointing but it isn’t the Campground’s fault they parts are hard to come by right now. Overall, a great stay in a convenient location to the Badlands.

Nice pull thru gravel site, good water pressure. Used dump station as site did not have hookup. Escorted in site, staff friendly and helpful. WiFi terrible, cable in and out and pool down for a pump

Food was great!

Very hot weather and unfortunately the pool was not opened. We thought we rented full hook ups but when we got there they did not have us down for sewer. They were able to switch us to full hook up but only for one night. The campers next to us said the same thing. Staff was nice and friendly.

Clean campground. Nice that they offer free pancakes every morning. 5 miles to Badlands National Park. Too bad pool isn’t open. Wifi was spotty Nice campground to ride bikes . Very few sites have septic - pay attention when booking. They charge $25 to come to your site and empty tanks.

Would have been five stars, but the pool was closed. Bummer with the kids. Great location near the Badlands though & friendly staff!

Beautiful spot and so close to everything. We had lots of room and a nice view. The pool was clean and lovely. Bathrooms are a bit dated, but overall a great stay!

The lady checking in was very rude and not helpful at all. Right from the moment we got there we felt like we were constantly watch by staff. The pool was not available due to needing repair and their alternative was a garden sprinkler for the kids. There may have been a “walking path” along the levee at some point but not in the last 10 years with the amount of growth on it. Skip this one.

We thought it was a very nice RV park. The owners and the people that work there were all very nice. The food they had the pizza and the pancake breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying at this RV park if you’re going to the Badlands.

A very nice place to stay. not sure if it was the time of year but the cottonwood blooms kinda sucked. not their fault. we spent a week there and the pool remained closed the entire time except for bout an hour or two one day. Parts on order. The breakfast and dinner being available was above and beyond. free pancakes were great. truely friendly staff.

Really nice shady facility. Well run. Lots of stuff for kids to do. Food on site was a bonus.

Check-in was easy. Campground/facilities were very clean, and staff was helpful and very accessible.

Very nice grounds. Well kept. Our reservations and site assignments were a wreck. As were the processing of our payments. Owner Karen struggled throughout to accurately reconcile

Was a beautiful, very clean resort. Super close to the Badlands entrance and loved the free pancakes. The only reason for a four rating was the pool was broke and that was a big factor in picking this KOA.

great assistance to campsite, clean, large units that accommodate 40 ft plus very high RV nice fenced in dog park Free, yummy pancakes in the morning tons of different accommodation choices

Very disappointed with the free pancake deal they offer. No pancakes twice. Apparently didn’t want to make anymore when my kiddos went up at 9:20. They stop serving at 9:30. Wanted money instead of serving free pancakes to kids. Otherwise campground was nice and clean.

The location is in a valley, right on the White River, so Wi-Fi and phone service were a bit sketchy. We enjoyed walking the dog across the street and had spectacular views of the Badlands. The pool was out of service, but we had shade trees all around. There is a cook shack onsite, along with a nice selection of supplies in the store, so we really didn’t want for anything.

Easy access from Badlands Park. Nice sites with easy hook-up. Cook Shack is a nice addition - pancakes were great.

Very nice location, nice spots, the only part need improvements is the showers (very dirty)

This was our first KOA experience and I was impressed with the facility and professional process.

Lovely stop. Shade was a welcome site! So we’re the morning pancakes. We wouldn’t change a thing.

Wow! A super KOA! Clean, lots of amenities! Best dog park ever! Wanted to stay an extra night but they were full, even waited a little later to see if there were any cancellations. Next time I’ll know to book more days.

So great. Our first time at any KOA. Everyone working there is super helpful and friendly. Beautiful location. We'll be back!
Jun 12, 2021
pool was broken but we had to pay full price for an amenity we were really looking forward to using and it was VERY hot during our stay

Everything they advertise is accurate- Nice sites, nice amenities, perfect location. Wish we had stayed longer and will stay here again!

Awesome...clean and quiet

This is a very well organized and clean campground with LOTS to do. Unfortunately, it is HUGE and just not our scene with people all over the place and rv’s cheek by jowl. If you’re into that scene, this place is fantastic and great for kids…..just not for us.

We stayed 4 nights and we’re very comfortable here. Everyone was very nice and helpful

Stayed 3 nights in a travel trailer great park . Clean and shaded spots easy in and out close to badlands

Surprised by the quality of the food at the on-site food shack. Was good since there are no other places nearby. Very close to Badlands national park.

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, clean facilities. Disappointed that pool was out of service and we weren’t notified. Website should have been updated at least. Cut our site seeing short so kids could swim, only to find out they couldn’t. Would have appreciated the communication

Pool was broken which was a bummer and the sewer smell was soooo bad that we couldn't even leave our van windows open. Luckily our air conditioning was working so we could leave that on all night. Nice eating area and the free pancakes were a nice touch!

Once again I have to say this about a KOA, that the pool and miniature golf were in poor condition. In fact, the pool was out of commission. Items in the store were way overpriced considering that there is no grocery anywhere close by. Cafe food was good but expensive as well.

Everything was great except staff speeding over the 10 mph. After ~100 campsites in 2 years we have observed that when staff doesn’t observe speed, then campers don’t. Thanks for an otherwise great visit! Perfect location to visit the Badlands!

Very nice facility. Pool was closed but otherwise everything was top notch.

Friendly staff, site had ample room for our big rig, was escorted to site. Was disappointed the pool was closed for repairs.

Easy access to the badlands. Clean and kept up, not a ton of amenities but good options for food.

Overall It’s run like a tight ship. Clean, safe and family “friendly”. More hooks on the shower door please. 1 for towel and clothes is not enough. The putt putt golf course is literally in ruin. Lastly, there is this overall sense that we were being babysat. It was just a feeling but we always felt like if we took one misstep there was definitely someone there to correct us. I

Nicely wooded, staff was friendly, washers and dryers worked well, quiet. Read about this location in a top 10 listicle, and would definitely recommend. Stayed here 4 nights with a travel trailer.

Rating: 4/5 from a KOA Holiday perspective Overall: We stayed 1 night in September 2021 with a 37ft Class A with a tow vehicle. Nice KOA Holiday with many options for RV and camping sites and lots of shade (vs. the Cedar Pass Badlands campground). Overpriced for a 1-night stop for which Cedar Pass may be a better choice, but a great option if you plan to spend multiple nights and enjoy the amenities. Campsite/Campground: The campground was very spacious and overall easy to maneuver. We had some confusion on the way out due to some one-way signs, but cleared driving the wrong way in a one-way with staff and made it out ok :) . Great shade in many sites, especially Jackalope Lane, Prairie Dog Trail, turkey run, Coyote Path, and Hoot Owl Drive. We had site 143 which was a patio site with LOTS of space between sites. Great site if you plan to spend a few days or week, but over priced for a quick stayover as we didn't have time to enjoy the space. Hookups: We had 50A and full hookup site with patio that included a table, chairs and propane grill. Furniture was brand new and in great condition. Hookups were a challenge – they were very far from the rig and we needed to be creative to get the sewer lines connected (see picture). Glad we had extensions! Amenities: The site looked to have great amenities. The breakfast was held in a brand-new pole barn and overall things were well kept, we just didn't have time to enjoy them with a 1-night stay. Service/Staff: Staff was good at check-in. Other: We have stayed at both the KOA and Cedar Pass campground. Cedar Pass has its challenges (from flooding to windstorms). If you are looking to stay between the two, we would suggest that if you have a soft-sided camping unit (tent or pop-up) then the KOA is the best choice to avoid flooding or wind issues. The KOA is also the best place if you are spending more than one night, as it has amenities vs. Cedar Pass which has none other than showers/restrooms. If you have a hard-sided camper and are doing a 1-night stay, Cedar Pass may be a better option with better views.
