Nice campground. We had travel trailer. All utilities worked fine, had a very level gravel pull thru site with shade. It was very clean and well maintained.. People were very friendly. Only stayed one night.

Enjoyed our stay. Close to all the sights. Great pizza from the Kookshack at the campground. Our only complaint was the smell from the lagoon when the wind was blowing toward us. If we had been in another part of the campground, I don't think we'd have noticed.

Entrance to campground full of ruts, gravel pads not groomed, it appeared that the mower and weed eater broke mid summer and nothing has been done since.

For a Kia holiday site had no room. Pull thru short utilities hookups bad

Loved this KOA, as well as the Badlands. We had a spacious site with a patio and pretty lilac bushes, nice shade throughout. The dog park was huge and staff was friendly. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.

The sites were roomy and had many trees. Unlike a lot of KOA’s that cram you in like a parking lot. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this campground.

Great amenities, great staff and can't beat the locations proximity to the Badlands!!!

Great stay and staff was friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Workers were friendly and willing to help.

We stayed here back in 1994 with our kids, and loved it then because of its beauty and solitude. Now we’re traveling again and wanted to experience it again; just as peaceful and convenient to the Badlands as before, but we got to take our time and explore the area more. Perfect spot to enjoy Wall and the Badlands!

Nice Park near the Badlands NP. Clean restrooms, our site was a little uneven (but manageable), very good wifi and staff was helpful.

Bathroom was ok. One bathhouse was not very clean. Hand dryer was not working and no paper towels. Sites were ok. Was just passing through so it was ok for one night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Owners ought to put a little money into the campground.

Even though we were only there for 1 night this time we will definitely be back. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The dog area is great. Thanks for everything!

Employees were very friendly and helpful. Only concerning issue was the office was not aware of our reservation. Luckily we arrived right at closing and someone was still available. Should we have arrived late in the evening there would not have been an envelope with check in instructions for us. It is quite possible another customer without a reservation could have taken our 40ft spot.

We had a great pull through full hook up site. Everything was very clean and convenient.

Space was a little short for our unit to properly hook up

This campground is beautiful! It’s quiet and full of trees, has a lot of green space, and a great big dog run. All of the public spaces are sparkling clean. This is a place to spend some time and relax. We’ll be back!

Stayed here because KOA is 4 miles to entrance of Badlands NP. Loved by our campsite l. It came with patio table and chairs, bbq and futuristic fireplace.

Nice campground tucked away by the White River, but very close to the Badlands. Would stay again.

Beautiful location. Nice site but wish they’d make more sites with patios. Nice dog park. Plan to visit again!

Check in was easy. Staff was pleasant and site was adequate for our needs. Very close to Badlands entrance. We were impressed with how adequately the camp store was stocked with items and a few groceries that campers might actually need duringThis was our first time staying with KOA and we would stay again.

Nice staff. Led us to site. Pointed out power water cable. Spacious site. Flat. Clean. Good WiFi

Very nice campsite. This was the only campsite we stayed at that was not right next to a major highway or train. Although it was not quite as fancy as some of the others on our way coming and going to Mt Rushmore, it was more of a camping experience, as there were more trees than the rest (other than in Michigan). There were some cows mooing, but much better that than traffic.

Nice camp ground, efficient, helpful staff!

Nice wide, shaded site. Bathhouse, laundry room, amenities were very clean. Would recommend if you want a nice spot to sleep while visiting Badland NP.

Truly an Oasis ! Incredible location. Great Staff too. The other RV campgrounds nearby are desolate in appearance. This place was hard to leave. Had a fun day being bale to do day trips. Highly recommended

Enjoyed our stay there! Nice campground and nice staff!

We absolutely loved it except the flies were just terrible, I’m sure my wife and I averaged 20 flies each as we sat eating dinner the night we stayed, it’s also sad that on a 91° day in the middle of September your pool was closed

So clean and well kept. Nice people. Already recommended.

Only complaint was at check-in we were told the Cook Shack would be open. So when dinner time came around- nothing. It was closed which left us scrambling to put together a supper. Clerk did apologize about it. On the plus side, this campground has a blazing fast wifi which is greatly appreciated. The campground is clean and well managed. And there are trees!!

Unquestionably the very best KOA we have visited. Location is unique next to the Badlands and park amenities are awesome. Our site had a patio with seating for 6, a fire pit and charcoal grill.

This is an incredible location and the RV locations are beautiful. KOA People are fantastic, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be there again in the future. Beautiful park and KOA is next door to it.....

Nicely wooded, staff was friendly, washers and dryers worked well, quiet. Read about this location in a top 10 listicle, and would definitely recommend. Stayed here 4 nights with a travel trailer.

Rating: 4/5 from a KOA Holiday perspective Overall: We stayed 1 night in September 2021 with a 37ft Class A with a tow vehicle. Nice KOA Holiday with many options for RV and camping sites and lots of shade (vs. the Cedar Pass Badlands campground). Overpriced for a 1-night stop for which Cedar Pass may be a better choice, but a great option if you plan to spend multiple nights and enjoy the amenities. Campsite/Campground: The campground was very spacious and overall easy to maneuver. We had some confusion on the way out due to some one-way signs, but cleared driving the wrong way in a one-way with staff and made it out ok :) . Great shade in many sites, especially Jackalope Lane, Prairie Dog Trail, turkey run, Coyote Path, and Hoot Owl Drive. We had site 143 which was a patio site with LOTS of space between sites. Great site if you plan to spend a few days or week, but over priced for a quick stayover as we didn't have time to enjoy the space. Hookups: We had 50A and full hookup site with patio that included a table, chairs and propane grill. Furniture was brand new and in great condition. Hookups were a challenge – they were very far from the rig and we needed to be creative to get the sewer lines connected (see picture). Glad we had extensions! Amenities: The site looked to have great amenities. The breakfast was held in a brand-new pole barn and overall things were well kept, we just didn't have time to enjoy them with a 1-night stay. Service/Staff: Staff was good at check-in. Other: We have stayed at both the KOA and Cedar Pass campground. Cedar Pass has its challenges (from flooding to windstorms). If you are looking to stay between the two, we would suggest that if you have a soft-sided camping unit (tent or pop-up) then the KOA is the best choice to avoid flooding or wind issues. The KOA is also the best place if you are spending more than one night, as it has amenities vs. Cedar Pass which has none other than showers/restrooms. If you have a hard-sided camper and are doing a 1-night stay, Cedar Pass may be a better option with better views.
