Some places deserve more than a weekend, and the Bandon / Port Orford KOA Journey is one of them.
Nestled on 8 wooded acres along Oregon's stunning Southern Coast, our year-round campground is the perfect home base for travelers who want to slow down, settle in, and experience everything this incredible stretch of Highway 101 has to offer.
Whether you're working remotely and want a forest view, homeschooling while traveling, spending the season fishing the Sixes and Elk Rivers, escaping colder climates for a peaceful & dramatic winter retreat, or simply extending your coastal adventure, our long-term camping options make it easy to stay awhile.
Named one of BBC Travel's 20 Best Destinations in the World, and the only U.S. coastal destination on the list, the Oregon Coast is a place you'll want to explore beyond a quick getaway.
From September through May, the coast reveals a quieter side. Crowds disappear, beaches become peaceful, tide pools are yours to discover, and nearby trails invite endless exploration. It's the perfect season for nature lovers, photographers, homeschool families seeking hands-on learning, and anyone looking to reconnect with the outdoors.
Each season brings something new to experience. Watch beautiful winter storms roll across the Pacific, enjoy fresh Dungeness crab during peak season, cast for salmon and steelhead in the Sixes and Elk Rivers, or visit the spectacular Shore Acres Holiday Lights just 35 miles north. And with reliable fast campground-wide Wi-Fi, you can stay connected while enjoying the slower pace of Oregon Coast living.
