It was a good stopping point for us. Some freeway noise, but not obtrusive. Friendly staff and cute, well-stocked store open until 9. Dinner at near-by Penny's Diner and breakfast at near-by Peggy Sue's; both fun places with yummy food. Recommend Peggy Sue's as a family stop!

4 washers and 3 dryers were out of order. A lady from the town not staying at the campground was using must of the available washers and dryers with 10 loads and the campers were left waiting for her to finish. Those facilities should be restricted to paying campers only not town folk! She stated the in town laundromat were filthy so she using the KOA laundromat.

Stayed 3 nights. Campground provided a shuttle over to Calico Ghosttown that left and picked us up right on time. Very clean and well cared for. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

always enjoy our stay there... only problem I saw, and being an old lady, too offense to the hanging person outside the office door with a bloody face..I know it's Halloween...but to me that was uncalled for...

I like the campground but I can't believe after staying there many time in the last ten years your cable tv cannels for Fox news and the next channels have audio and video's mixed up, really. fix it people. This is really stupid...

We were really impressed with playground and the General store. Everything looks really nice and well-kept. Security was really helpful and escorted us to our spot it made a late night check in very easy and comfortable. The restrooms were sparkling clean!

very quiet and clean even though it is close to the freeway. A good place to stop and see the Railroad museum in downtown Barstow and the ghost town in Calico.

They do such a fantastic job of offering so many activities and contests around the Halloween theme. It’s really awesome. And it’s all in addition to the many other offerings that are available. The grandkids really enjoy the playground and game room.

Had electrical grounding error issue at pedestal and was told it wasn't campground problem. After insisting it was, groundskeeper checked and it was campground pedestal issue and it was fixed. Should not have been told it wasn't campground issue and should not have to insist they check it out.

Camped one night. Once it was dark, there was hardly any outside lighting. This is dangerous for tripping coming to restrooms or showers. Also, no lights at door, so you can't see the keypad to push the code in. I had to walk back and get a flashlight to gain entry. Poor set up.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have noticed that the bathrooms are not as clean as they were over the past years. It was kinda gross. But we will had fun.

We stayed in October, and they have many fun halloween activities. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The campground was well maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Always love staying here.

It was nice to have clean bathrooms. Our space was ok as we were traveling the next day. Interesting to watch all the dune boogies running around

Highly underrated KOA! Ok sure it's not the FANCIEST campground out there, but it's literally in the middle of the desert! And for being located where it is, this was a pretty sweet place! Zero issues with management, grounds were neatly tended and clean. Some spots have cement block pads that have a 4 seating patio set, a bench AND a firepit!

Even though they were hosting an event they managed to squeeze us in! We were so happy that they did because it was a fun festive Halloween evening. We will definitely be back. Thank you Barstow/Calico KOA!

We arrived late and the night attendant was friendly and drove us to our spot. The campground and bathrooms were clean. Barstow KOA is a favorite spot to stop when traveling to the CA coast from AZ. We'll be back.

The entire men's bathroom was totally filthy and the ladies showers weren't much better. There was a stinky uncovered sewer pipe, vent or something next to the sewage hookup at my campsite. Even though Halloween is approaching, having a dummy hanging from a NOOSE by the front door is inappropriate.

This was just a overnight stopover on our way home but found this campsite to be a very nice place to stay. The campsite was very clean with showers and bathrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. We want to come back when we have more time and explore the Calico Ghost Town.

We like to use it as a waypoint stop over, on our way to other destinations. It is the desert but the sites are always clean, the restrooms and showers are well maintained. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We have stayed there an extra day to visit Ghost Town, which was fun and interesting.

The KOA camp grounds were well keep but I find the staff in the office unfriendly and attitude was not very helpful. In the past 2 months we have stayed at many KOA and I have been very pleased with the services. Please offer these ladies some training on how to work with people. Thanks

The staff were friendly, we appreciated the military discount, and the wifi was excellent. However, the site was very dusty and had no parking pad, no gravel or asphalt. Worse, the shower stall was disgusting. Water pooled around my feet so I lifted the mat and found your wads of hair under it. The walls looked dirty and were slimy. The stall clearly had not been cleaned in a long time.
