I came in after a very long drive and it was an easy check-in and the pool was fantastic but I wish you were assigned in the bathroom explaining the showers because it was some push button thing I didn’t know if I took money is no explanation there so I gave up and didn’t get a shower which would’ve been nice!

Friendly and helpful staff. Location works for our 1st night on our frequent travels to CA. However, this time the showers/restrooms near our site were unusable. Showers had deadbolts locking the doors and the one that was open was under repair. Did not check out the showers near the office. From our site walking in 110+ deg heat the shower would not have done much good.

The only complaint I have is that the on line reservation said they only had two tent sites available which were the most expensive ones but when we got there, there were more than two site available. If I were you , I would call the location and check availability.

We use KOA campgrounds whenever we can. While amenities differ, service is usually consistent, including delivery of ice/firewood to campsite. We have no tow car and are elderly. When we asked they said no, then said they didn't know how to charge our credit card on file. Finally we were told someone would call us back. No call. No ice. Not KOA standards.

We just stayed overnight as it was a convenient stop on our route. We did not use any of the amenities so I cannot comment on them. The site was easy to get into and the hook ups all worked well. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is that the campground, like the whole area is hot, dry and dusty, not the kind of place where I want to spend a lot of time.

Front desk service at evening arrival was not pleasant. Lady seemed annoyed when we showed up. The morning interaction with the other folks was better, including the fact that we lost a watch and they found it for us to return when we went asking for it. Also, the web site says the pool is open until 9pm. We arrived at 7:50 and were told that the pool closed at 8pm. That was disappointing.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. My two girls enjoyed the pool, specially on a very hot day. Most spots are shady. I will stay at the Barstow KOA in Calico again.

Nice park. Has a great big dog run area. For the areas we used the park looked to be well maintained.

First time ever while staying at a KOA we were shocked by how rude and unfriendly the employees were to us. Dirty restrooms and one had a broken lock. The place would have to make great improvements before we would ever consider staying here again.

Very nice KOA. We have stayed at a lot of KOA's in the past and found yours as one to our pleasing. Will stay with you if we are in that area in the future.

Friendly greeting, easy check-in. Landscaping is not in good shape. Pool was very nice. Had to wait 20 min. to buy something in the store because the employee who could use the computer/cash-register was on a break. The replacement said he could not help us.

I stayed there with my BF and it’s was a very pleasant stay very quite, relaxing and clean. We also wanted to upgrade our reservation and was able to do so with out a problem. I would go back.

This is a very good KOA. We have stayed her frequently at both the beginning and ending of our journeys. The grounds are always neat and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

It was a 113 * and we wanted to move to a shady spot. They said they were booked and nothing was available. But at 4 am when we left, there were a few shady spots available. We may have been able to get our rig under 94* that evening if they would have allowed us to move. Would have been a more pleasant experience if it weren’t for the extreme heat.

There was a propane leak in the laundry room. When I reported it, the answer was yeh, we need to get that fixed. It appeared that it was a known leak, but nothing was done about it. The staff did only what they had to, and nothing more. I had been able to get koa postcards at every koa, and was told that koa didn't make them anymore.

The staff was friendly and there are the usual KOA attributes but it was so hot and while there were sights with trees open, we were placed in the sun. I’m very grateful for the KOA being there though. We were having truck problems and the camp was a godsend, shade or no shade.

It was extremely hot, so the pool was very nice The showers were clean.

The pool looked dirty and both women that we interacted with should not be working with customers. Both were rude and very unwelcoming. The only reason I gave a couple stars was free coffee and it appears the only place to camp in the area.

The showers, that are open, need a good cleaning. The hair & dirt in the corners of the shower had been there awhile. Pool was nice. It’s the desert, so very dry, hot & windy- nothing can change that.

Showers didn’t work right. Hot with no AC or fan in shower area. Of 3 showers only 2 worked. Too expensive for what was offered.

It was only a overnight stay, but we found the campground well groomed, very spacious and store personnel helpful and pleasant.
