This is a very nice KOA. I only gave it four stars because the men's restroom was closed for renovation, which seems odd in the middle of the summer. My husband had to go to another one and would often have to wait while families were using the facility. Our tent site was sufficient and there was a nice room attached to the office if you wanted someplace to sit. Overall, a good KOA to visit.

Trashy campsite with spider webs and campers on top of each other (at a premium price). Did not meet a single employee that wasn't rude. Horrible experience, would not recommend this place to anyone.

WOW!!! Best KOA!!! Extremely well maintained sites. Pool was very clean, staff was excellent. Even the laundry room was excellent- machines high quality and reasonable. Great location, thanks to all the staff!!!

Nothing wrong with the site. Too far away from the Caverns and from Roswell. Town smells like oil refinery and sulfur. Again, this is not the fault of the KOA. The location is a poor choice.

The people checking us in were friendly. Sitting outside of the cabin there was a smell the two days we were there, not sure if it was sewer, or propane or a combo of both. The shower had hair and dirt on the shower floor. The curtains were just dirty, and the outside of the cabin needed a power wash. There were just flies, and more flies, which were on the porch and got into the cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed this KOA. It was very nice. The sites were well cared for and the staff were very pleasant.

The food was disgusting. My grilled cheese- the cheese wasn't even melted. I threw it all away. The sites are spacious but covered in ants, and grass growing and cut and left everywhere. A very big disappointment. Then the pool closes at 630 which is ridiculous.

While the people were super friendly and the sites were spaces and clean, it was odd they were on "winter hours" the first week of August. They closed the pool at 6 and stopped taking dinner orders. Sunset was closer to 8 pm so why close the pool? This location is about an hour away from the Caverns which is the only reason I stopped in Carlsbad. Too far just for that.

The staff was amazing!! Everyone was so helpful. I was expecting an overnight delivery that didn't make it overnight. The next day we were out sight seeing when it arrived. The office called and let me know it had arrived and made arrangements for me to pick it up after hours since we were not going to be back to our site until late. Amazing customer service.

Positives: Friendly staff with great amenities including 24hr rec room. Negative: Mens restroom is closed. We had to walk across the site to use the restroom and shower. I was charged an early check in fee even though the site was empty. Lots of flies.

Great camp. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really like that after a long trying day on the road we could order dinner at camp and they delivered!

Really nice facilities, pool, kitchen, cabins, and RV hook-ups, or tent camping if you're into that. Close enough to the highway for convenience, yet far enough for blissful quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first stay at the Carlsbad KOA. Friendly staff, lots of space between RVs, which I loved, the pool was nice and cold which was great on a hot summer day. Not too far from Roswell or Carlsbad caverns. Very well-kept nice and quiet campground, I would definitely go back.

Staff very friendly, sites large, & activities for kids. We were disappointed that upon check in our site had high weeds & grass, and puddles of water which caused us not to use the picnic table area. We had been warned that they were experiencing higher than normal tarantula sightings due to excess rain so with the high weeds/grass we couldn't check that area well.

Clean, well kept grounds. Bathrooms were questionably "clean". The water left A LOT to be desired. Tasted absolutely disgusting (we use a filter, but it can only filter out so much). Not our favorite campground, but it got the job done for the few nights we stayed. Will look elsewhere if we find ourselves in Carlsbad again...

Good location. Nice and clean. Pool was a little small for the amount of people that wanted to swim but all in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Staff was friendly and wonderful. Love the Aliens out front. =)

Bathrooms in camp area old condition with flies - main men’s restroom closed for remodel. Pool - great. Camp a long drive from town & activities. People friendly & helpful

Only problem was needed chair in bathroom to sit & change . And there were two kids that keep knocking on door while I was showering- they did that 3 times! Other than that -a wonderful stay!

Goathead stickers around the campsite. No shade structure over the table- this is the desert, shade should be a given.

Well we were on a ten day road trip staying at various KOA sites and were pleased until this one. Bathroom facilities were limited to three people for the entire park and the flies were horrible all over inside the bathrooms. We forfeit our night and checked into a hotel. Wasn’t a good way to end the roadtrip as it was our last night on the road. I won’t go back.

This did not seem as well kept as other koa we’ve stayed at. However, the site was bigger and we were able to pull through our vehicle and travel trailer. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was great. Kids loved the pool and slushy machine. 45 min drive to Carlsbad Caverns and a 15 minute drive to Carlsbad.

Beautiful park! Large roads for easy maneuvering with large rigs. Large pull thru sites with great amenities. Lots of wildlife. We will definitely stay here again!!

Nice spot for few days - friendly staff, clean facilities, refreshing pool. A short drive to restaurants and the cavern. Only down side is the occasional smell from the gas grills nearby.

We were there two nights as we made our way across country with another family. We had a buddy site. Staff was VERY nice. Nice cold game room We could all hang out in the heat. Buddy site was ok. This campground is not close to Caverns. 40 min drive.

My only complaint was the grass needed to be mowed in a very very bad way. Some of the other sites were well mowed and maintained just our row and spot had really tall grass. But over all loved our first visit to a KOA and will more than likely use them more often!

Cabin was clean. Queen sized bed was soft. Only complaint was the men’s bathroom was closed and locked. My husband and son were very frustrated because of it. Kind of strange the bathroom wouldn’t be available.

We were first time campers and staff was very helpful when my hairdryer blew the fuses. He saved the day.

The tent spaces are next to the road where all the traffic goes by, all night long. The restrooms are closed at night.

One of the best KOA's we've ever been. Huge pull-thru spots with lots of space for your vehicle. Everyone working there was really nice and helpful. Showers and bathroom were spotless and the laundry room was top notch. Easy access to the Caverns and Roswell, worth being a bit out of the way. Definitely will stay again.
