Great campground, nice clean laundry room, playground, store, friendly helpful staff. Only reason I gave a 4 star rating is the wind, we stayed there all the month of December and the wind blew most days, high wind warnings were issued for several. This maybe normal December weather, but I would stay a day or two if passing through again.

This was the second time we have had an extended staying at Carlsbad KOA the first was in 2017. The staff again was wonderful and were very accommodating. The grounds were always kept neat and clean. The sand burrs were a little worse this year maybe because of all the rain received earlier in June/July. Pizzas were great as was the rest of the dinner menu. Would stay here again and again.

The staff was great! Sites are nicely spaced, large and level. Plenty of room for our 45’ MH and Jeep. Bathroom was clean. Nice dog area an playground. It wasn’t a “pretty” campground or I would give it a 5. It was great for a visit to Carlsbad area, and appeared to be the best in the area. We would return

KOA Carlsbad, NM was our destination. The office staff was excellent! We had to have our truck worked on in nearby Artesia. So they were nice enough to hold and extend our stay until our truck was finished. The KOA was clean and 2 dog parks were great. We had a buddy site to share with our son. The bad part was goat heads on our site that got in our dogs feet. And winds at least 20 mph always.

Enjoyed our "winter" stay here at the Carlsbad KOA. No problems - wifi worked well. Liked the convenient location to Carlsbad NP.

Our site not long enough even though we paid for Premium site. New owners were not responsive to issue. They say have cable television but do not! We won’t stay here again!

We came there to see the Caverns which were amazing. The facilities at the KOA were great and kept clean. The staff was helpful and kind.

The facilities were great! I was disappointed when I asked if there was a tire service they recommend (we’d blown a tire) I was told to “google it.”

The Campground is out of town a bit but we like that. It was clean and well cared for with spacious sites. Check in and maintenance crew were all friendly and helpful. They offer an awesome smoked meat dinner that is delivered to your door. We would stay there again.

The sunrises and sunsets are stunning. Very nice campground, level sites, lots of room. We will definitely be back in the future.

Nice campground. No problems at all. Wifi was better than I expected. There js a dirt trail adjacent that you can follow down to the lake. Only downside is the location. It's further away from Carlsbad Canyon and Guadalupe Mountains National parks than I would have liked but it's still the best paid campground option regardless.

Wide level sites, clean and well maintained facilities. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Food service and delivery is a nice touch.

Wonderful facility. Nice large drive through sites. Friendly staff. We have stayed at all the campgrounds in Carlsbad, and we will come back to this one.

Very nice campground. Very spacious sites and entire place is well maintained. Staff was very helpful. We would definitely go back if we journey to Carlsbad, NM again.. Travelers should know the water is very hard in this region of the country and a water softener is very helpful. Also, Carlsbad is in an oil producing region and you will experience an oder, not too bad though.

Quiet camp ground. Clean bathrooms, showers and laundy room. A few too many washers broken. There is a smell from the surrounding land at the far end so I do recommend getting closer to the front. An hour from the Caverns, 30 minutes from town, 44 from Sitting Bull Falls.

Excellent place to stay. Very clean. Staff is amazing. They are willing to go out of their way to be helpful. We got there on a Friday and were very tired. They offered a meal service for those interested, and for a very reasonable cost you could reserve a delicious dinner and it is delivered to your campsite. The smoked pork ribs were absolutely amazing and VERY tender.

Enjoyed my stay for the last 6 1/2 years as a monthly guest. Great location and friendly staff. Owners are really caring people and have really put a lot into the place since buying it.

The layout of the campground is very nice with large sites and some grass in between that would be green at the right time of year. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The area is prone to periodic odors from nearby Petro chemical activity, unfortunately, the KOA cant do much about that. The campsite is 17 miles from town, which is sort of inconvenient unless you are going to nearby Brantley L.

Staff was super friendly, nice bathrooms, level sites. Took a long time for hot water to get to the showers, 3am truck driving through the park with no or little muffler woke us up two mornings.

When we got to this location we were EXTREMELY skeptical. It’s out in the middle of nowhere. We planned on checking out the next day but it turned out to be the best place for us! My husband could work, the kids could play, and the Rec room and playground were amazing! The staff was so incredibly kind! Lesson: don’t judge a book by its cover! Ps. One of the best KOA's we've ever been. Huge pull-thru spots with lots of space for your vehicle. Everyone working there was really nice and helpful. Showers and bathroom were spotless and the laundry room was top notch. Easy access to the Caverns and Roswell, worth being a bit out of the way. Definitely will stay again.
