The place was run down and not what the pictures shown. It was muddy at the site we were in. It was next to a trailer park, very loud between the cars going by and the flight path of the airport. Seasonal campers were run down. Thankfully we were there for only 1 night. Shameful that this is actually a KOA property. Wouldn't stay there or recommend it to anyone.

Charleston South Carolina is an excellent destination for your vacation. And KOA Charleston is an excellent base camp while you were in the area.

The KOA needs some serious maintenance, updating and landscaping. Everything is run down. Entrance to KOA is through a trashy trailer park. Seasonal RVs are trashy in some sites. Staff is friendly, that's why 2 stars. Won't stay here again.

Site was poor condition and had trash and an old piece of carpet. I would not use again. Check in staff was kind.

Lots of tall old trees.. Doesn't look like they ever rake up leaves or sweep paved pull thru spaces, which is odd for a Holiday koa. Depressing. Laundry machines are cheap but only have cold water. Over-priced but only a couple miles to the Ladson fairgrounds/Expo/swap meet. Lots of restaurants nearby.

It is an okay place to park your RV, but its not a campground. Bathhouse was fairly clean, but the toilet rocked on it base, like why don't you fix that. There was some trash around the RV sites and there were three people sitting in the office, so someone get out there and pick up the trash, like make it a daily chore. Campground looked unkept trash and debris everywhere. There was a police officer that parked across from my site both nights I was there not like he was staying in a camper but that he was there hiding from his job. I’ll most likely never stay here again.

Convenient to Charleston and Summerville. Staff very friendly. Clean park...variety of sites. Sun or shade Pull thru sites barely long enough for vehicle and 5th wheel. Very close to neighbors. We will stay here again. Family in area.

Nice folks and our site was nice. The run down trailer park at the entrance doesn’t help them. This KOA needs a lot of yard work and run down. I think we overpaid for our site. The folks were nice though.

Staff is nice, campground is getting a bit rundown, sites are pretty close together and muddy. Most sites are gravel/ grass. Not a destination campground, just a place to park. Overpriced for what you get. We stay here for convenience because it's close to family.

A nice quiet place. Our lot was a very nice wide spot next to the woods. The campground is a short drive to downtown, shopping, and the island.

Charleston KOA Holiday is such a cute, quaint, homey campground. The attendants were knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. It’s not very large, which makes it comfortable to walk around and feel safe. I would recommend this campground to everyone.

The location in Ladson isn't all that great, but the campground itself is fine. The neighborhood around the campground is a bit sketch, but it's easy to get on I-26 and get around the area to see the attractions, though most sites of interest are 30 minutes away.

Very noisy, sirens constantly going off. Airplanes constantly going over. Bathhouses were nice and areas for campers were larger than most we’ve been to before. Also heard gunshots one night sounded relatively close.

The campground staff were awesome and made the stay very nice. The only negative would be the road noise. Lots of sirens going back and forth as well as what sounded like a drag strip on the highway. Was very close to Charleston so that made visiting the downtown area really quick and easy.

Not impressed by the fact of having a run down old trailer long term camping across from our premium site. Also did not receive a courtesy call to verify arrival time and/or attendance.

The location is 50 years old and it shows. We stayed in C1 which was a nice location and had been updated. When you walk around the location you could see areas need work (weed eating, replacing picnic table). There are a lot of long term people camping there. The drainage of all sites need work. Gravel needs to be added to a lot of the site. The front office team members were friendly and helpful

Close to downtown Charleston, and friendly staff. Bathrooms not real clean and could use updating. Grounds were covered in pine needles that could have been racked to improve overall appearance.

Great location, nice older campground. Level sites with easy access. Friendly office staff and cleaning lady. Now the not so. Shouldn’t mix permanent sites with regular sites. They need to enforce all of the rules if your going to enforce any of them. Trashy sites, cleaning up after your pet. We had 60 plus piles just from our permanent neighbor. Stepped in it while setting up. Not a good start

We are new to RV life, but have stayed at several nice KOA campgrounds over the past year and this location, BY FAR, was the worst we have seen. The campground grounds need a lot of work. There are several (at least 50%) long-term residents on the campground. Some have not taken care of their sites (trash all around). There are numerous cats around, driving our dogs crazy. We will not return.

This KOA was subpar compared to other KOAs that I have stayed at. There seemed to be more long term campers. The grounds were not kept up very well. For example the landscaping was all over grown. Camp store was minimal. It was a spot that provided water, electric and sewer hookups. No frills or extras that you would expect at a KOA.

We stayed 3 times in the last couple of weeks. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The bathrooms are clean.

We enjoyed our stay. Close to many things we needed. Very clean. Office staff extremely helpful, professional and frirndly. Would return.
