Older koa could use a little sprucing up. Good proximity to Charleston which is what we were there for.

Staff was very friendly and helpful even beyond their duty! Utilities worked very well except the internet was weak. However the area next to the boundary had lots of trash from plastic bottles and plain garbage to sewer hoses behind our site and 1 other site.

Grounds unkept, weeds, grass and bushes all overgrown. Red ant piles all over site. Paperwork from office smelled of cigarettes. Old RVs abandoned, on sites.

Campground very run down. Grass not cut around sites, no stone in sites which leads to muddy s sites in rain. My site under water after rain. Had to walk though 4 inches of water to get into coach. Solution told to me by office was too take out rv’s dump hose and let it drain. Good location but for the money I spent should have been much better.

Campground is very dirty and not well kept. They allow people to live there who do not keep their sites up, there is garbage and mess.

Everyone here at this facility has treated me like royalty. From the manager (Kim) on down to the entire staff have been very pleasant to deal with. I very much appreciate them all.

We stayed here a week , using the KOA as our central location to visit the area. This was a good location for our plans. The KOA is very plain - basically a place to park your trailer. No amenities besides a pool and some simple games. But this is the concept behind the KOA Journey. We did not see the workers very often except for garbage pick up. The grass does need cutting.

I have never been so disappointed in a campground in 30 years of camping would i ever recommend your campground never i had asked to be called by kimberly and even that did not happen spent way to much money in that place and will never b returning

we have stayed many times at the Chas KOA and will stay again. The staff has been great. We had previously stayed on the side that seems to be for travelers this time we were in the section that includes many full timers, The first site was a mud hole and we moved to a site that needed mowed and some general maintenance. I understand the need for full timers but many were trashy and unkept.

The Kampground is fine, but it is in a very noisy area - traffic, sirens, nearby airport. Not amenable for tent camping.

Needs some MAJOR maintenance. Grass was overgrown. Mud everywhere…looks like it’s from prior guest using mats which killed the grass. Was surprised the residents of the mobile home park next door are allowed to use the park’s facilities. Truly disappointed this park is part of the KOA system.

Camp site was a good size. The first appearance was not good. The camp ground needs to work on this. Grass looked to be unkempt.

Stayed for 2 nights , convenient to Downtown Charleston and to one of the many boat ramps . Easy in easy out . Will stay here again

Overall a safe and clean campground. We only had a couple of issues. Both had to do with the gas grill at our site. The grill had some leftover silverware and dishes from a previous guest when we removed the cover and it was tremendously difficult to get started. Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I would gladly stay again.

Great people, lighting around dog park is none after dark. They are willing to help you with anything if asked. Could use a lil manicurist around the park. But would stay again.

it was a dump the bugs could call you away the bathrooms were so ,so not clean and not that dirty would'nt take my dog to the playground , they need to be reevaluted , were not koa standards and i have been to 12 koa this fall . it really was a dump not worth $56. a night

We found the campground needed mowing in general and trimming around long term campers appeared non-existent. Other campers said the grass has been an issue for some time. Our particular site had a large hump right in the middle, likely where a tree use to be but the stump wasn't ground down enough to level the site. All utilities worked fine. Toilets were clean. Good WIFI. Nice people.

The park is very rundown and not kept well. The trailer park when you pull in is very unsightly. When we arrived to the KOA and checked in we proceeded to our spot but it was under 6" of water. We went back to the office and they moved us up a few spots. The spot was COVERED in dog poop. The grass was almost knee deep at the site and all of the items associated with our "premium" site were broken

This was the worst KOA we have ever stayed at. Stayed insight F06. The site had weeds and grass overgrown. The cover for the sewer had been rolled over and was broke. This park should not be list as KOA. Glad it was only for one night. Won’t stay ther again.

I do appreciate getting a site, as it was full, the site was little to no gravel and sparse grass that turned to mud when it rained just prior to our arrival. The mosquitoes were swarming and I am allergic. The staff were very accommodating even getting us a site, however.

We stayed at this KOA because it was conveniently located to a hotel in North Charleston where we were attending a multi day reunion. We did not know this KOA is co-located with a trailer park of which the owner is the same. The tenants of the trailer park are allowed to use the washing machines and take advantage. The people staffing the KOA are very nice but the site is dirty and noisy.

The staff is very helpful, check-in was a breeze. Our site however was very uneven (rutted and roots sticking up) and hard to level the RV, and the picnic table should have been pulled last year. Due to the recent rains, there were a large number of fire ant piles around in the grass which made walking around in anything resembling a sandal risky. Outside of that, the visit was pleasant.

It is not well maintained. The grass is a foot high in a lot of the park. Friendly staff, but would not go back.

We are KOA members with upwards of 89K points and this was, without fail, the worst KOA we have stayed at. The experience starts with the entrance. Palm trees in need of a trim met us (and our rig’s paint job), to be closely followed by the totally trashy trailer park with which the KOA shares an entrance. Unkept grounds, and trashy full time residents await after check in.

Grounds are not well kept. Front entrance looks like haven't been mowed or weeded in over a month. Laundry is shared with a mobile home park that has a shared entrance.

Generally unkept, grass not mowed, supposed to be gravel sites grass grown all up in gravel. Huge dirt area all in front of our door. Had to ask for fire pit. Laundry was filthy, didn’t even go in bathroom after seeing laundry. Trailer parked next to us was missing tires on 1 side, absolutely filthy & window ac half falling off. Looked like it had been there for years so much had grown up around

Well…. I’ll start with the corporation as a whole! When I joined I thought there would be cohesiveness between ALL of the KOA Campgrounds!! Farthest from the truth. There are fantastic ones…. Fredricksburg. Then there are ones like Charleston. This dump was connected to a crack head trailer park. I mistakenly, en-route, paid for 3 nights. Stayed 1… ate the other two & stayed in the

We stayed overnight after a long trip from Florida, We had a 21 foot Travel RV and called in late for The spot we had was not clear for a back in and the panel outlet is loose, so we called to get move a couple of spots to get power . I have seen a lot improve KOA and this place could use better Toilets and showers stalls. Clear shrubs and replace picnic table or paint them at least.

Convenient to my Doctors appointment at MUSC. Staff was excellent and very helpful friendly. Campground clean and taken good care of, but very noisy at night because of the airplanes flying over and the traffic from the road. Other then the surrounding noise, our stay was great.

The KOA was such a disappointment due to unkept grounds, loud freeway, train and airplane noise. It was badly lit, didn’t feel safe there. The electrical posts were in bad shape. This KOA needs some improvements, it is in a good location as far as going into Charleston.

Check in was extremely easy. The site was nice and overall the atmosphere was peaceful. The only problem we had was with the dump hook-up as it had been torn out of the ground and needed some prodding to get it back in correctly. Not a big deal though.

The sand pits for horse shoes was not clean. Could have taken a weed whacker to the grass around the hookup and sewer connections.

Bathroom was disgusting. Out of toilet paper and the staff didn’t seem to care when I told them. Facilities in disrepair. I was very disappointed with the campground. They didn’t bother getting out to open up camp k9 in the morning. Game room was non existent. Pool did look nice though. I will never go back! WiFi didn’t work and when I asked the staff was no help. The young lady who registered us was very nice, she was the only friendly employee we met. The park needs a good updating. Several sites the weeds were so tall around the service connects you could not even see them. Employees witnessed speeding in the park and it kept on every day. Rained while we were there and a lot of site completely under water. Our sewer connection was broken.

We stayed a week in the end of the B row. It rained for 3 days while there and there was a large puddle at our door. Not much there to do for kids like the on in mount pleasant. It’s an older park, needs some upgrades and maybe landscaping. I don’t recommend using the laundry as the dryers didn’t dry well. Not much room to park. Part of our site was used for the neighbors site park
