Staff was very nice, but the park needs help. Too many extended stays quest that don't clean up their space. Trash everywhere, grass overgrown, abandoned toys. We were assigned a dirt parking spot when there were asphalt paved RV spots available. Maybe because were only staying 1 night, but the price was equal, not again.

What a great campground.. .Large pull though sites, friendly staff, clean restrooms, and grounds, and great location. The only down side is the noise level, from Trains, Plains and ambulances. But what can you expect if your staying in town.

Place is not well kept, could use some updating of sites and facilities. Did not feel real secure there, campground was accessible with trailer park next to it.

I reserved the patio premium site. The site was dirty with trash and leaves on the patio. The whole campground was unkept and not up to KOA expectations. The site was also very unlevel and the campground looked as if it had people living there on a permanent basis.

It was quiet during the day but we had a lot of noise at night due to being near the interstate. I didn’t like the fact we had no internet we called the number they gave us and the person said it was no good for service there. I didn’t think it was smart to have only 1 bathhouse and it was too far to walk. They need to have a gaurd at the gate for all day . Codes to get in bathroom awful.

A little noisy in the surrounding neighborhood but over all peaceful and quiet. We loved our site D16. Men’s room ran out of toilet paper though.

My husband and I stayed over Thanksgiving to be close to Charleston. The proximity to Charleston wasn't bad but the area where the campground is located is not ideal. The large mobile home park next door was very loud. Lots of barking dogs and stray cats.

Your staff was friendly and helpful and the campground was really nice with the big trees. I took away points for the bathrooms. They seemed to be clean but so outdated and the fixtures were pretty gross so they felt unclean and I wasn’t comfortable using the facility. I don’t think you can properly clean faucets that when the finish is so old and degraded.

Just finished a 2 week stay. The space was nice but as other's have commented the sewer connection for the space next to you is next the the picnic table. Restrooms were clean, friendly staff, nice store. Not sure why it is a Holiday as it feels more like a Journey.

Arrived & paid for deluxe site and 1st site was aweful. Almost went home. Moved to new site. Was better. Left a day early. Would not recommend this KOA to anyone. 1 area looked like a homeless area.

Site is showing it’s age, and the sites are very tight even for our small travel trailer. Little to no lighting and our site, 10 had two trees that had been cut down but the stumps were high I’m not seeing them as it was dark, hit them causing damage to our trailer. Last night there was very noisy with cars driving through the park zoom around all through the night, especially a white Mustang.

It was good. However, the campground appears to be picking up some long term campers who don't care what their campsite looks like and don't care if their campsites look a bit scruffy.

We had a great site, but our neighbors…maybe not as much. Our sewer hookup was 6” from their picnic table. The staff did accommodate our needs well, but not without some hesitation. The large recreation facility was still closed due to covid.

Had to leave they do not post on web sites that you can’t use dog fence at camp site. Many mad people because we had to take them down. We had to go to a different camp ground. We did not have a fold up fence. It takes time to set up and take down. PUT THE FENCE RULES ON YOUR WEB SITE

The campground was in okay shape. The sewer area at the sites could use some cleaning up. Cut the grass and have a cover. The laundry area was great, clean and machines were good. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

Nicest people running the place, but it's run down, in a not so great part of town (right beside a major road), and the facilities were well below what I'd come to expect at a Holiday KOA. Not at all like the KOA Holiday marketing materials you see. It's quite a ways from Charleston, too, so I am not sure what the allure would be to stay here.

Pros: 50amp water and electric at a pull through site. Staff is friendly and check in is simple Cons: shared entrance to a not so classy mobile home community, no security or gate which is NEEDED, laundry area is shared with neighboring community, ambulance and police noise is non stop, playground is in need of repairs, campground area is in need of upkeep, many dilapidated permanent campers.

Our stay was relaxing and the campsite wasn’t accommodating to our 42 feet RV. When you’re placing your reservation, the campsite ask the length of the RV? What’s the purpose for asking if you’re not being accommodate with a site for both your RV and tow vehicle?

The camp is a little dated and needs some repair. The lids to the sewer were broken so there was always smell. Pulling in at night it is so dark you cannot see anything. The tree needles covered the ground and the road so you couldn't tell where you were supposed to drive. The staff was friendly and helpful. We use AT&T and the reception was not great (not the camps faults, just and FYI).

Requested a premium site, received and payed for. it was a nice site but, it lacked the attention that we payed. Site was covered in pine needles and leaves that matches the time of year, expected someone to clean them up just a little. We were not able to have a camp fire because of this. The gas grill had not been cleaned from the last camper and it was beyond nasty. Bird droppings on everything

The restrooms and showers were clean and the personnel were great. The problem is it looks very run down and sites are very tight. It is closer to Charleston for sightseeing .

This campground has great amenities and is well priced. However, it's not in the best area of town and it could stand to be cleaned up a bit. The grass growing around our sewer cap was a foot tall.

This KOA is not what you expect from a Holiday stop. It’s a journey, but not even a good one. The staff are nice and friendly…but the grounds are rather gross and dirty. Lots of garbage everywhere and the RV park next door looks really creepy.

Rude stationary people. Homeless person walking around in the campground harassing campers. Trailer park at entrance very bad eye sore. The whole campground is run down and over grown. No gate at entrance and the trailer park people where allowed to wash their clothes at the campground laundry. Just over all a bad experience.

Although this KOA may lack in some upkeep, it's more than made up by the hospitality of the staff. I had to keep extending my stay due to my closing date shifting several times. They were flexible, understanding, and always had a smile on their face. It made a stressful situation much easier to manage. Thank you for the outstanding customer service and we will be staying with you all again soon!

Would stay again. Only overnight. It sits right next door to an old mobile home park , there was a small YAPPING dog on the other side fence, barked consistently for many hours! their are up to 5 people employed, the campsite we pulled into was NOT clean. There was dried up old dog poop next to our RV trailer step, and the thickness of leaves should’ve been cleaned, laundry NEEDS AN OVERHAUL

The staff was great, the bathrooms were clean, the pool was closed for the season. The park is near enough to the attactions in the city. My one disappoitment was the condition of one of the rv's that was near the front of the park. It is in complete disrepair and did not seem to meet the requirements that are listed on the parks paperwork to be allowed in the park.

Below normal KOA standards. Staff was friendly but the spaces were right next to each other...my neighbor's sewer drain was at the foot of his other neighbor's picnic table. Bathrooms were run down, missing road dispensers, etc. It worked for an over night but at its price it was not as good of value as usual at KOA.

The water pressure is really bad in the shower. The campground is really run down. Shouldn't be considered a holiday. Our spot was flooded when it rained, we had to walk around in the mud. This is a 0 on our list to stay again. The people are so nice though. The camp ground just needs to be updated.

Lots of litter in CG and on approach driveways. Very noisy group on C row up to 1am several mornings. We had a great site and great overall experience.

The space was very nice with the concrete patio, built-in firepit, gas grill and seating. The site staff were very nice and personable. The only item of concern was when attempting to exit the campground onto Highway 78...traffic was very busy so it was a long wait to get out onto the Highway in either direction.

First impression was rather shabby, but our 4 day stay was mostly quiet. Loose cats were wandering at will. The cable was poor quality. Our site was too short to leave our tow vehicle attached but it was quite wide. We would likely return someday but this us not our favorite KOA.
