Below, you will find quick answers to our most common questions regarding sites, amenities, and local attractions to help you plan your trip.

Booking

How much does it cost to reserve a site at  Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA Holiday?

Rates typically range from $45 to $200 per night, depending on site type, travel dates, and season. More affordable options include tent sites or water/electric back-in RV sites, while premium pull-through RV sites and our Deluxe Cabins are priced higher.

Do you accept same-day reservations?

Yes, Clearwater KOA  accepts same-day reservations based on availability. You may book a last-minute site on the KOA app, online, by calling 727-937-8412, or as a walk-in at our main office. We recommend calling ahead during peak summer weekends to confirm site availability before arrival.

Do you offer weekly or monthly rates?

Clearwater / Lake Tarpon offers monthly rates for extended stays. Learn more about our long-term options at our Extended Stay page. 

Do you offer early check-ins or late check-outs?

We are happy to accommodate early arrivals and late check-outs based on availability. Early arrivals and late departures are subject to a $25 fee.

Do you offer military or first responder discounts?

Sites

How many sites do you have?

Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA has 112 sites, including 105 RV sites, 2 cabins, and 5 tent sites. 

Do you have cabins?

Yes, Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA offers a pet-friendly and a pet-free Deluxe Cabin rental, each with a full bathroom and kitchen.

Do you offer full hookup RV sites?

Yes, Clearwater / Lake Tarpon  KOA offers full hookup RV sites with water, sewer, and 30/50 amp electric service. Choose from pull-thru or back-in sites and premium RV sites with KOA Patios or Paw Pens.

What is the maximum RV length you can accommodate?

Our largest pull-through sites can accommodate lengths of up to 65 feet.

Are there RV age restrictions?

RVs should be well-maintained and in good condition. Monthly stays for guests with units older than 10 years may require prior approval, and guests may be asked to provide photos to ensure the RV meets campground standards.

Is there EV charging available at the campsites?

No, Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA does not permit electric vehicle (EV) charging at individual RV sites due to electricity infrastructure limits. There are several public EV charging stations located just outside nearby Tarpon Springs. 

Do you allow tents in all sites?

Tent camping is limited to designated tent sites. Tent sites include water and electricity and a picnic table.

Do you have shaded campsites at your campground?

Yes. Our campground is known for exceptional landscaping and foliage that provides ample shade and privacy.


Amenities & Services

Do you offer trash pickup?

Yes! You may place your trash in the dumpsters provided or leave a tied plastic bag at your site post in the morning, and we will pick it up at 10 AM.

Do you have a dump station?

Yes, Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA has a dump station that is available free of charge to guests. The dump station is available to the public for a $25 fee. 

Do you sell propane?

Yes, Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA offers propane pumping services for the public and campers. We fill portable 20-gallon tanks. Propane is available daily during store hours.

Do you offer boat and trailer storage?

Yes, Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA offers trailer and boat storage to current RV site and cabin guests.

Do you have a camp store?

Yes, the on-site camp store offers camping essentials like snacks, firewood, ice, and locally curated gifts and goods.

Is there Wi-Fi available?

High-speed, streaming-quality Wi-Fi is available throughout the park free of charge.

Is there cable TV available?

Cable TV is not available.

Do you offer golf cart rentals? Can I bring my golf cart?

We do not rent golf carts, but guests may bring their own.

Do you have a pool? Is it heated?

Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA campground has a pool that is open from dawn until dusk year-round. During the winter, the pool is heated to 83 degrees. 

Can guests have food delivered to the campground?

Yes. Guests can order delivery directly to the campground using popular apps like Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub, as well as local restaurants that offer delivery.

For the smoothest experience, include the campground name, your site or cabin number, and clear arrival instructions when placing your order. 

Does Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA offer free breakfast?

Yes! The campground hosts free breakfast every day and an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast every Saturday.


Local Area

Where are you located?

Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA Holiday is located off Highway 19 in Palm Harbor, Florida, across from the Innisbrook Golf Resort. The campground is centrally located in northern Pinellas County, placing visitors just 15 miles north of Clearwater Beach and about 5 miles from Tarpon Springs. It’s a great centralized location for exploring the Tampa Bay region.

How close are you to the beach?

Clearwater Beach is just 15 miles from the campground. Honeymoon Island is 10 miles away, and Caladesi Island is 17 miles from the campground.

Where is the closest boat ramp?

The closest public boat ramp is at Chestnut Boat Ramp, located inside John Chestnut Sr. Park on the east side of Lake Tarpon. This ramp is only a few miles away, typically about a 10-minute drive from the campground, depending on traffic.

To access the Gulf Coast, the closest saltwater boat ramp is Sutherland Bayou Boat Ramp, less than 5 miles away or a 10-minute drive. The boat ramp address is US-19 N Alt, Palm Harbor, FL 34683.

Where is the closest fishing?

Fishing opportunities near Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA are abundant. Lake Tarpon is less than a mile away, and the Gulf is less than five miles away.


Activities

Do you have activities for kids?

Yes! The Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA Holiday keeps kids entertained with daily activities like arts and crafts, Saturday s'mores bonfires, and poolside ice cream parties. On-site recreation amenities include a heated swimming pool, a playground, and outdoor games. The campground also hosts specialized family events during themed holiday weekends and Friday night bingo games.

Are there activities for adults?

The campground has many events and activities tailored specifically to adults, including Sunday wine glass painting, wine tastings, and free breakfast and coffee socials. Outdoor recreation features a putting green and bocce courts, kayak rentals for exploring the lake, and immediate access to the neighboring championship Innisbrook Golf Resort. For pure relaxation, guests can unwind on the shaded pool deck or stroll through the campground's peaceful butterfly garden.
