We only live 15 minutes away. We chose to do our shakedown trip with our new travel trailer close to home. Was very impressed with KOA Clearwater / Lake Tarpon. Loved the sites and amenities. Will probably be back to see how our puppy will do camping.

very nice and quiet stay. the spaces and access roads are very tight for large rigs to manuever. other than that, everything was great.

Had to use back in sites which was ok But they had a least six pull thru sites open for both days Was told back in sites were all the had????

Thank you for the feedback. Our regular pull-thru sites accommodate rigs up to 30ft which is why we were unable to move you to a regular pull-thru site. We do however offer several deluxe pull thru sites which will accommodate larger rigs & also come with a paved patio, firepit, upgraded furniture.

The campground is beautiful and well kept. It was a very pleasant place to stay. Our only problem was the wi if went out on a day we really needed it setting up appointments to view homes. Not their fault, and the only reason 5 stars wasn’t given. We do recommend this campground. Very nice place.

Had a great stay At your facility. Everything was kept up nice and the staff couldnt have been better. I will be staying there anytime i am in the area.

Although plush tropical settings the park is tight for larger units. In some sites they should widen the entrance so you don't get on the grass / landscape when parking your unit. on our site, the hedges needed trimmed back so we could easily enter the camper steps. I ask them to do so while we were there (13 days) and they never got to it.

The only thing we noticed during this stay was some litter laying along the road a few times that staff rode past on golf carts numerous times without picking up. Also, had a couple come to the pool and blast their music so that everyone there had to hear it. We left due to this. You may need to add a rule about playing music so that only the person playing it can hear it. Was very rude.

I loved the layout of the campground! Our site was a bit too narrow for our 26 ft camper and because of the trees we were unable to extend our awning. The staff was very friendly and positive. Everything was super clean! I will stay here again but will reserve a wider site next time.

When we got to the site, someone was still in our assigned spot. My husband went back in the office and we were given a new spotbut it appeared to be much smaller and more difficult to back in. The only other HUGE disappointment was not having any wifi. Our daughter had a summer class and missed valuable time in class d/t not having accessible wifi. Also could not watch TV for 3 days. All else OK.

First trip in our new camper more or less a shakedown run, the site was easy to get into, the pool and bathrooms were very nice and clean. Site itself was well maintained. All in all a great stay, thank you.

Once again, a lovely stay at Lake Tarpon Koa. One thing to note though, their local cable carrier, blocks Fox News Channel most of the time. Was not happy about that and mentioned it to Mary. She wasn't happy either.

It was a pleasant stay, although property owners had new tenants at the house on site that used the pool after hours and were very loud! I was told the "rules" weren't outlined to them. We were very frustrated at night trying to sit outside and watch TV, have to compete with hwy 19 noise & loud people at pool.

This was one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The landscaping was beyond compare. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the dog park and loved the pool. It was close to downtown and the sponge docks. We will definitely return for another stay!

Great smaller camdground! Will definitely come back! Close to the Gulf and public access parks. Facilities are super clean and new! Sites are well landscaped and maintained. Although a bit narrow, the landscaping adds scenery and some privacy for many sites.

First Big Trip with my Travel Trailer, and first time stay at KOA! Overall had a great experience. The only thing I would say is the Table outside our lot was cracked and had moldy water leaking from it- and the bathrooms were always very wet/humid. Everything else was great ! Staff was friendly and helpful !

The people at the campground was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early. I was told it is an old campground but by the looks of it you can't tell. It is very well kept up and very clean and neat. The sights do tend to be small and cozy making it challenging in places for the newer/bigger Class A's and 5th wheelers. Extra parking places for guests help with parking. Nice experience.

We had a wonderful time. This a gorgeous campground. Beautiful landscaping and not feeling like you are in top of your neighbors. The pool area is wonderful as well. My only complaint, if I was to make one, is the bathhouse. While extreme clean, there is no air conditioning or fans to circulate the hot,humid air. I felt like I showered and it defeated my purpose. I was still hot and sweaty.

Resort is beautiful - staff was wonderful. It was a little difficult to navigate our unit (45 foot Class A) to the back of the park but we managed. We would definitely stay here again,

My husband and I were traveling with our 8 year old granddaughters and stayed in a cabin. Our friends were with their 8 And two-year-old grandsons and stayed in their camper about 5 sites away. The accommodations were amazing. The property was beautiful !!! Pool was a good size and clean. If you need they have public bathrooms, showers, washers washers and dryers. will def check out other KOAs

Visit again: Yes! Campground Vibe: Adult resort/relaxing feel. Lush greenery, tall mature trees, nice layout, not a parking lot. Gravel sites with outdoor picnic table. Total surprise of an island vide campground despite awful crazy huge city traffic just a few yards away. Felt safe: yes Site condition: long no matter which site you are assigned. Spacing between sites: very generous. each rig was tucked into their own garden spot. Views: mostly of lush greenery, butterflies outside our windows. Sewer/Electric/Water conditions: Sewer drainage has perfect slope. Noise: very quiet despite being yards from US 19 crazy busy non-stop traffic. Staff: very kind & helpful. GPS accurate: Yes & large visible sign. Reason for visit: vacation. Start of our winter vacation that took us from Florida to Tucson. Things to do: Honeymoon Beach was a perfect retreat. $8 entry fee you have several beaches to pick. Easy parking, walking , blue water, white sand beaches. Bring a picnic. When the ranger saw I had a walking boot from breaking a bone in my foot, he offered a wheel chair. Impressive and so sweet.

Very clean and well maintained. Clean restrooms and showers. Rather expensive. I asked to make reservations for a year from now. Answer was there were 99 people ahead of me.
