Sites on the hill like the site I stayed at T12 are so slated, if I didn’t have my own table not sure how anyone is expected to prepare food on an extremely slated picnic table. $34 for a site like this is ridiculous and definitely wouldn’t pay to stay there again

Overall it was good. This is the most dog friendly campground I have ever been to. For those of us who do not like dogs barking next to your bedroom it ain’t so great. No, I did not complain because folks don’t like complainers. Yesterday we moved to another campground in Ouray that is equally as large and have only heard one dog bark a couple of times. I will not return to this KOA.

Great stay. Despite mistake and our campsite was given away without our knowledge. Staff resolved with apology and refund. Otherwise a cool Koa to stay at and we loved the hike right off the grounds

Very nice place with great views. Easy access to Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek/Victor gold mine areas.

Absolutely LOVEDthis koa. So far, this is my favorite. Very clean and very friendly. I can see just why this park is packed!! I did not catch her name, but I know she's from Kentucky, this girl was just the most informative person ever. Keep her!! She is an amazing guide to the local places of interest!!

A nice area. Tent site access needs improvement: roads are too rough. Tent sites need better WiFi. Bathrooms and common areas are pleasant and well maintained.

Sounds like you'd be better off in our Deluxe Tent area. You booked a primitive tent site... so it's primitive.

A beautiful place , perfect for adults and kids. Very nice and accommodating, the lady in office was very helpful and Friendly. The cabin was clean and cozy . Would stay here again and recommend to others.

We stay two nights. One in primitive and one un deluxe campsites. The staff was knowledgeable about the town and suggested places to eat and visit. The place was clean and nice.

The nicest KOA I've ever stayed at. Large sites with plenty of space between RV's. Neat and well organized. Clean laundry and restrooms. Helpful staff.

The KOA camp is attractive, in a great location, clean, and well maintained. Owners are friendly and hard working! The lady who cleaned our room was super sweet (Used to live in Texas).

We love staying at Cripple Creek KOA. It is always so beautiful, even when it rains. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up!!

Our recent stay at Cripple Creek KOA during summer 2021 exceeded our expectations. The owners are very conscious of the RV experience, forward thinking on campground improvements and go beyond normal operations to ensure it. Plenty of local attractions for adults and kids and dogs! I appreciate the staff are current and experienced RVers. We hope to return soon, thank you and God Bless.

The cabins have a beautiful view. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The futon isn't as comfortable as we had wished. Other than that it was a great stay. We had everything we needed in the cabin. It was very quiet. Great place and great people!!!

This is a small and very well manage KOA. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful in every way. Because of the elevation and location, there were lots of hummingbirds present.

40 yrs of camping rudest owners ever came across, arrived hour and 20minutes before 2:00 check- in, was told I wasn't allowed to wait on property, i asked to put 20 gallon water in rv so we could freshen up will waiting (water hose right beside me) told no go in town and get it! we were planning on scheduling a week stay, of course didn't. There a horrible example of the KOA name!

Nobody was rude to you, you just didn't get your way. Checkin is 2pm, as it states on your reservation confirmation, our website, social media, and a sign on the door. You chose to ignore that, so really have no argument for claiming mistreatment. Honestly, no regrets on our side that you left.

The drive out to Cripple Creek KOA is absolutely beautiful. The park itself is beautiful, very well maintained. The staff is very welcoming & pleasant. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

I like my cabin it was in the right spot, Electric plugs were a little bit scary, because they would get really hot and brown liquid come out of the plugs. So that made it a little scary to keep it plugged in for the night time when it would get really cold. I would like to see for the breakfast time that you would go back to paper plates and paper cups. (Had nice stay)

Beautiful location. Most of the staff was super nice. Person that checked us was a bit grouchy. Nice little trail on campground could have been better marked. Also for such a large campground, only one set of bathrooms and 4 share showers. Clean and well kept spots. LOVE the check out time is noon. We wish all KOAs would go to noon! We will definitely be back.

When I needed help with a barking dog they responded very quickly. Beautiful clean and green. Very close to some of the greatest mining history towns that I’ve ever come across. Thanks for the location.

Such friendly people here! Both workers and campers. One thing we didn’t like was that our grassy area was not level, but that could have been just our spot. Our kids loved the playgrounds. Showers were nice! Centrally located to a lot of fun stops.

Very clean and well organized. Most staff were friendly. Their communication with each other about coffee expectations was not thought out, and different messages were given about getting free coffee at the pancake breakfast. One staff member was upset that we did so, but another one offered us free coffee from there. A sign saying if you just want coffee, please get it inside would be helpful.

Always happy to provide free coffee at pancake breakfast or in the office. Apologies if that wasn't your experience. Is it possible that they had run out outside and were waiting for a refill from the office?

When a guest gets sick and has to leave, a exception COULD be made to your refund policy.

Sorry you fell ill and we always want to help out however we can, but don't think we should foot the bill for unforeseen circumstances such as this. I believe that is why there is trip insurance.

Friendly staff and very well kept rv park. Some spaces are a bit tight for a large rv with a tow but they have plenty of room for your tow in the visitors parking area. Beautiful views! We will definitely be back!

Made reservations for a group in Jan. Deric, the host did an excellent job of assisting us and meeting our needs. Very clean, friendly employees, terrific location! We'll be back!

I did not like the location where we were put. Next time I will request a different spot. The road in was tight and other campers had several cars parked in the way so we had to get them to move so we could drive into our spot.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your site, Rebecca. We did accommodate you in the site type you booked. Access can be tricky as some of our roads are narrow, although I am surprised you had issues pulling your 25' tent trailer. Feel free to request a specific site next time.

Great location. Our tow vehicle’s transmission went out and hosts were very supportive and accommodating as we resolved the situation. We will definitely stay again.

Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself. I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent. Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain sheep on the way in! 100% intend to return!
