Beautiful campground! Staff went out of their way to help with some changes for us. Also brought firewood to our site even after we missed their close. :)

4th time staying here, always a pleasant oasis from my daily grind. The staff are great and the location is perfect for getting away from it all. I’ll be back.

I booked this campsite site unseen. We loved it here the view was beautiful. The campground & bathrooms are beautiful & clean. The owner was a pleasure to talk with. Will definitely stay here again.

Wow..... what can I say? This has been one of the best KOAs we have stayed in this year. I loved the "remote" location away from the towns, where the starry skies were amazing to watch. Deric and Terri were amazing hosts, and we LOVED the pancakes for breakfast. Thanks so much for your assistance and insight for the area around Cripple Creek and the encouragement to hike up that mountain!

This is our first time camping at a KOA and it will not be the last. The Cripple Creek KOA was perfect. The showers and bathrooms were so clean!!! All the amenities were just amazing. Staff made you feel right at home.

Beautifully done and clean, very peaceful. Campers kitchen is a wonderful plus, and the hosts making pancakes on the weekends was great, with future plans for a pizza kitchen. Great job and friendly staff.

wonderful experience from beginning to end as far as the grounds and the people who work there but the altitude sickness is nothing to Take lightly I was unable to do everything I wanted to do because it just wore me out walking a short distance felt like I had jogged for a mile so I personally probably won’t be back but would highly recommend it to anyone not affected by the altitude

Excellent. KamperKitchen was a lifesaver (dinner saver). Rr were exceptionall clean. Staff was upbeat and friendly. Great tent spot up in the trees.

We tent camped at this location and our spot was in a beautiful grove of aspen trees. The camp was quiet, clean and offered many fun things to do such as corn hole, playground, bike rental or just relaxing around a firepit. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about nearby attractions. We will definately stay here again.

I enjoyed the location, the view, an individual shower, and other top notch facilities. The wifi was fast, even at my remote site. Kelly was knowledgeable and professional - a true delight to work with. The Cripple Creek KOA is at the top of my list for travel in the area.

We absolutely LOVED our campsite. It was wonderful staying in the Aspens. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Tent site was on a hill. Slipped of our air mattress several times a night. Showers were either really hot or ice cold. We opted to not shower a second time because of this. I found one of the staff members to be rude (female). This is the only KOA that doesn’t give veterans a discount. Sum up my stay… I was cold dirty and tired! Not a good experience at all.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay in a primitive tent site, Sheila. Interesting that you asked for a friends n family discount when you booked, even though we don't know you, then jumped on the veterans discount when you arrived. It is not rude to tell you "no" when we don't offer a discount.

Everything went pretty well, however the tent site we were assigned had a long drive to it and the trees hung down into the road and scratched my pickup as well as having several stumps over 3" high to drive over. Other than that it was a lovely location, friendly staff and nice amenities.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that my neighbors were loud, opening and closing their car doors in the middle of the night. Perhaps KOA can emphasize to guests that they need to respect neighbors.

We loved this KOA. We have stayed at many and this is by far the cleanest and best maintained campground. We stayed in a deluxe tent site andit well so nice . The staff in the store was amazing. Knowledgeable about the area too. One even opened the door after they were closed to help us get quarters so we could dry a wet sleeping bag. 100% would come again.

Beautiful location with super clean amenities. We stayed in a primitive tent site and it was pleasantly secluded and surround by aspen trees and a multitude of wildflowers. The elevation is 10,000ft so be sure to bring oxygen because walking around can be strenuous. Staff was also exceptional. One of the BEST KOA kampgrounds out there!

Sites on the hill like the site I stayed at T12 are so slated, if I didn’t have my own table not sure how anyone is expected to prepare food on an extremely slated picnic table. $34 for a site like this is ridiculous and definitely wouldn’t pay to stay there again

Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself. I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent. Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain sheep on the way in! 100% intend to return!
