GREAT location. Campground beautifully maintained, lots of activities and services. Especially good handicapped shower stall. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Efficient check-in. The owners really have invested time & resources to making this a beautiful KOA. Sites are well manicured. Most if not all sites included a bit of lawn. The camp tables were high quality with a plastic covering over the wood. We really enjoyed our pancake breakfast. Loved the dog park. The scenery of the surrounding area is stunning. We'll return again and again.

Very nice KOA!! Quiet with beautiful views of mountains and sunrises/sunsets! Well maintained grounds. Didn’t use facilities ie BR or laundry. Friendly staff. Away from highway and relaxing!! Would stay again! Motorhome 40ft.

We had a great patio site that was level and had pavers and a gas grill which was nice. It was meant to be our base for Great Sand Dunes and Gunnison NP's but GSD is quite a drive and Gunnison was practically inaccessible due to road closures on Highway 50.

The location is beautiful but we found the RV sites to be very tight and conjested. Also, the fire pits are located to close to some of the trailers which is a fire hazard. Printed instructions compared to lengthy verbal instructions at check in would be preferable and speed up the process. The facility overall was clean and well maintained.

Beautiful location, Friendly staff. The only issue we had is parking our coach. There isn't much room to park when your towing a vehicle. I would highly recommend this place. I would however like to see the road to the KOA paved or rocked. The dust is terrible on moto coaches.

We had a 5 day family camping trip with tents, cabins, and RB’s. Everyone had a great time! As usual the accommodations were clean and the people more than friendly!

Second time staying here and I just love the location! The campground, restrooms, laundry, office is absolutely spotless! Sites are “mostly” level (the campground is on the side of a hill!) with enough room between sites so you are not right against your neighbors. Thank you for a wonderful end to my early to mid summer travels! I hope to be able to return again to just enjoy!

pleasant rv park. great views. close to exploring the towns of Victor and Cripple Creek. tour the Colorado Wolf Rescue center, only 30 minutes away. clean restrooms and showers. large dog park to let dogs run and play with grass.

The Campground was well maintained, the restrooms were always clean. For a campground on a hill, our site was perfectly level - well done and much appreciated! The staff was always pleasant and friendly. If i head that way again, I would stay there in a minute.

I did not spend much time there because of my commitment to why I was there. I did little more than return there each night to sleep. But I was very impressed and I will return with my wife at a later date. Thank you.

The staff works very hard to maintain this campground. It is super clean and there is always someone available to help. The view of the mountains is spectacular. This is our second time to stay and we stayed in a cabin this time. The mattress was comfortable and the rooms were spacious enough. We enjoyed our breakfast on the picnic table and watched the chipmunks. Great community kitchen also.

Loved everything about it! The facilities were immaculate. The location, tucked away on the side of a mountain, makes this place quiet and peaceful. The staff was kind enough to loan us their 50-30amp adaptor at no charge. We will be coming back.

Loved the pancakes Saturday and Sunday, cabin was outstanding. Plenty of things for my little ones to do. Town was close to explore great trails; amazing staff. Perfect getaway for me and the family.

I had booked a stay at another camp site but when we got there it was not desirable. I called the Cripple Creek KOA and they got me a reservation right at the last minute. It was a great place to stay!

We were an impromptu visit as we had reservations elsewhere, but they were not acceptable. Your KOA was gracious, accommodating and saved our experience.

WOW, great owners, super clean place, amazing views, and quiet at night...aaaah, what more could you ask for? When we were there they had a little bit of wind kick up. There was some folks who left to go into Cripple Creek and the wind blew off their awning. The owners of the KOA were out there securing it and fixed it until they returned...pretty amazing actually! WE will be back!

Excellent tourist tips from staff. Liked lots of trees & flowers by campsite. Excellent bathrooms, laundry room, general facilities. Gravel pad for tent was good but picnic table tilted on hillside so items kept sliding off. Not controllable by KOA but mining flights (industrial helicopters?) very close & extremely noisy-waking people before sunrise.

Stayed for two days during the July 4th holiday. Park is kept very clean, and people were respectful of quiet times. Have stayed here multiple times, and will stay again.

This was our second time camping here. We booked a cabin this time. Staff was super helpful. Our firewood was delivered right to our site. The ladies up front were super helpful (Bonnie and Terri). Though it rained it was still a great time. Hope to return next month.

Beautiful views, guests respected quiet hours for the most part; we loved the outdoor kitchen (since we forgot our cook pans at home). Would have been nice if there was another restroom facility as the one was always either really busy or pretty gross from so many guests using so few toilets.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the review, Daniel. We do our best to police restrooms several times a day and respond to any report of a mess immediately. Holiday weekend mornings are a challenge, though. Would love to have another bathhouse, but there are some utility constraints when you live in a remote area.

Our favorite campground close to home. The entire campground is immaculate. Even the grills on the patio sites are sparkling clean. The staff and owners are always working hard, friendly, and helpful.

Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself. I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent. Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain sheep on the way in! 100% intend to return!
