Very nice secluded campground! This KOA qualified for our family "Top 5" list. Friendly staff, nice campground, nice amenities, clean restrooms. We enjoyed the hike up the hill in the forest, appreciated the gas grills, and also appreciated the very nice camping kitchen area for cabin and tent campers. Would definitely recommend and would like to stay again!

Thanks! Casinos no longer come out to pick up gamblers from the campground and we are unfortunately just not staffed to provide that service. It is one of the items on our list for potential services we want to provide, but no ETA at this time. Thank you for the review, and glad you enjoyed your stay!

Great place for families with small children or pets, couples, or the elderly looking for a nice getaway. Party goers looking to pull an "all nighter" should reconsider, as there is a strict curfew in place. Aside from that, I would definitely recommend this KOA!

It was great having your extended family and friends here for the weekend. Loved the fun you all had, day and night! To ensure a pleasant stay to all, we do enforce our 10pm to 9am quiet hours. Unfortunately that meant we had to break up your party. Glad you enjoyed everything else!

All of the facilities were well maintained and clean. The staff were very friendly. It is located in a beautiful valley with incredible sunset views.

Some folks don't like that there aren't trees on our RV hill but as you noticed, it gives you unobstructed views of the amazing sunsets.

Staff was helpful and courteous. The cabins were amazing, looked brand new. Bathrooms were always clean. The only issue was the down time on the bathroom cleaning.

Thank you for the review, and glad you had a pleasant stay! We take great pride in the cleanliness of our facilities. Since we only have one set of bathrooms, that unfortunately means we have to close them for a short time for cleaning (although we do leave them open during the extra COVID-fighting sanitizing procedures several times a day).

We went in Friday for the Fourth of July weekend and loved the cabins, staff was friendly and when we arrived a bit early they helped us get situated.

We’ve been visiting KOAs for about 20 years. Our favorite Colorado locations are Cripple Creek, Buena Vista and Cotopaxi. In particular the CC KOA is well run and the hosts are friendly and professional. We love the Kabins, the clean conveniences (restrooms, showers and laundry) and of course beautiful location itself.

The cabin was clean and comfy! Everything exceeded our expectations. We had a great time. The only thing we needed was a can opener!

Thought we had can openers in the Deluxe Cabins, but maybe one went for a hike up Trachyte Knob. Added it to the shopping list, Thanks!

Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself. I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent. Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain sheep on the way in! 100% intend to return!
