This is the third year we've stayed at the Cripple Creek KOA and we keep coming back not only because of the beautiful views and campground, but the friendly staff, clean facilities and relaxation make this one of our favorites. Thank you!

See you next year, Marty!

We had a great site, the dog park was close. The employee's were great and helpful. The showers were out _____ standing, best we have ever been to and we have been conserving water. The only downside is y'all have to truck in water. Y'all need to dig a well. Thx T.K. and Danielle Moore

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks! Bad news is, we have a well, it just can't keep up with demand... so water hauling has just become a fact of life.

We like the Cripple Creek KOA. The staff was friendly and it had great view of the valley. The only problem was the elevation got to my wife and we had to leave a day early. I was please that the staff refunded our money for the second night we had booked.

We enjoyed the mid week visit. Lots of hiking and things to see. Loved the fresh spring water just up the road. Loved the views. All was clean and everyone very friendly!

Very nice experience. We only stayed one evening but had a pleasant stay. The surrounding views were great and the campground was very tidy. The sites are tight for bigger units but manageable.

The campgrounds and the hosts were great.

This is the most friendly KOA that I have stayed at. For years I wrote off KOAs because of several bad experiences across the country. Generally, it seemed like the staff at those KOAs were offended that you were there in their personal campground. KOA at cripple creek is not like that. The owners are very friendly, accommodating, and just pleasant people to interact with.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So sad that you've had multiple negative experiences. Most KOAs are independently owned so it is up to those individuals to make your stay GREAT. We consider our campers as guests in our home (not too hard since we live here) and wouldn't treat you any other way. Thanks for the kind words!

We enjoyed the friendly staff and the campground and facilities are clean . Prices on merchandise in the store are very reasonable .

Nice park. Hated the drive up the mountain and not anything mar except casinos. Great for those who enjoy hiking and scenery was beautiful. Staff was very friendly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed our park and the outdoor activities. I have to disagree on your assessment of Cripple Creek. There is some very rich gold mining history to be experienced, although you do have to seek it out.

Love real friendly staff and kept clean

We enjoyed our stay at CC KOA, it was very relaxing. It was very peaceful being far off the road as it is. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The store was nice and the prices were reasonable. Being dog people we liked the large dog park and the trails allowed for longer dog walks. The close proximity to Cripple Creek and Victor made visits there easy. Would definitely stay again!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you! You're welcome to return any time.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also they adhered to COVID regulations and were masked. Enjoyed the campsite very clean and beautiful surroundings with the mountains and trees as a backdrop

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank YOU! We strive to dazzle you with the cleanliness of our facilities and put forth additional time and effort these days to keep COVID away. Glad you felt safe!

It was an great time. The campground was very accommodating and managed to put our campsite next to our friends and allowed us to stay a bit late to take our kids fishing! The showers and restrooms were very clean and the staff in the store was very friendly and helpful.

Cripple Creek KOA is a nice location, nearby, but not too far from the town of Cripple Creek. While there isn't tree coverage for the RV area, the facilities are well kept and the owners are very nice. We had a good time and would recommend this to our friends.

Overall a nice park. The location is too remote for some and the sights can be a bit tight.

Terry and her husband were great hosts. They have worked hard fixing the place up. Their efforts show as the place is beautiful.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you, Mike. It's an ongoing effort but so rewarding when repeat campers notice the improvements and upgrades. We'll keep it up as long as we're here, so come on back and see what we do next!

its a beautiful area....RV sites are way to close together and given the ample space they appear to have, could have done a much better job with spacing, can't even see the scenery because your staring at the back of another camper all packed in like sardines. no trees around campsites....seems like a waste of a great location.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our campground is built on the side of a hill so that has something to do with site spacing. It was also built in early 90s when big-rigs weren't quite as big. Kind of a paradox that you complain about view being blocked and that we don't have trees which would block your view. Sorry it wasn't exactly what you were looking for!

Always love it here. Beautiful scenery and awesome people.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Don't forget the awesome campers!

Beautiful views and very well kept. The roads and spaces are very tight for larger RV’s and even though they are “pull through” they are hard to get in and out of due to the narrow roads and others parked to close or in the road.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our campground was built in the early 90s when big-rigs were a little less big. :) We have some long-term plans to add more accommodating sites for giants, but will be some time. Fortunately our current setup has just enough space (60' sites) so thousands of bigguns have safely navigated through without issue!

Have stayed at this KOA several times in the last couple of years and have enjoyed every one of them. The entire staff has always been friendly and helpful
Aug 26, 2020
The spaces were well equipped and accessible . The staff were very accommodating . Restrooms very clean. Kid and pet friendly with accommodations for both . Close to several attractions .

The two items most rvers look for were here: great, hot, clean showers and good wifi. Then added to those: great friendly hosts, friendly atmosphere, clean and a great location. Kudos!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Awesome; thanks! We invested considerably in our WiFi the last couple years and implemented the last phase this summer. GREAT to see it is appreciated!

Connie was a wonderful person to deal with. Everything was clean. We had to move during our stay to another lot. The new lot wasn't full hook-up. The morning we were to move, Connie called and said a full hook-up lot had just come up. She asked if we wanted the full hook-up lot. We really appreciated the extra help in keeping us in a full hook-up. Thank-you Connie!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We strive to accommodate our guest however possible. Thank you for recognizing Connie!

Stayed 3 nights while exploring the Cripple Creek and Pikes Peak area. Some nice views, spaces are a bit cramped, staff was great. Would stay again but would upgrade to one of the premium spots with extra decks/chairs.

We had a great time. Play ground and the train was a hit with the kids. Site was easy to pull into, hook up and pull out of. We got there about 7:30 pm and check in was super easy. Restrooms and showers were super clean. The only thing we would like differently is the sites a little wider but not a deal breaker. We will be back.

We had a wonderful weekend everyone was so nice and the grounds were kept very clean. Will definitely be returning
Aug 24, 2020
From the day of reservation until the time of check out a wonderful experience. They work to make you feel at home.

After hours check-in went well and our campsite was easy to find! Enjoyed the amenities of the campground, especially the showers & playgrounds.

Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself. I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent. Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain sheep on the way in! 100% intend to return!
