The campground brochure/map states please rate us on things we can control. I felt some of the staff could have been more friendly and outgoing. The campground is well taken care of. Great views all around. What bothered me the most was a political flag on a 16' pole at a site. I'm all for flying the American Flag anywhere but I feel expressing your views should be kept to campfire conversation.

Thanks for the review, Chuck! We do our best to welcome our guests with warmth and cheer and I'm sorry you didn't feel that way. As for political views, as long as our guests aren't promoting hatred or bigotry, we feel it is important to respect each individual's opinion, whether we agree or not.

Loved it! The sites were clean, the restrooms were clean, the dog park was LARGE, there were things for the kids to do. Most of all, the staff was so sweet to us! We had a little one that wasn't feeling well and they went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to make her comfortable. This is the cleanest KOA we have stayed at so far. We will definitely be back! The view was perfect!

The nicest views of any KOA. The spaces are kind of tight and not quite long enough for big rigs.

Thanks, Jim! Our sites are all about 60'x30', so while we can accommodate most rigs, it is tight getting in and out. We've found that parking your tow vehicle at one of the alternate spots is best so you have more room to enjoy your camping site.

One of the best! Very clean, very quiet, restful & scenic. This is the kind of place you want to stay at at least annually. We will definitely be back!!

Everything with our stay was great. we had a wonderful pull through spot, site 171 at the top of the mountain.

Loved the patio and grill. Will always book that going forward. Only issue was the sewer drain was uphill.. Made it a bit hard to drain fully and we had a 10 hour drive that next day so wanted as empty as possible. Office staff were awesome!

The campground is well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful and it is quiet with beautiful surroundings. What more can you ask for? One of my favorite KOAs.

Can’t say enough about this campground, everything was excellent. The view spectacular, the people friendly, solid wifi, clean and efficient laundry facilities. We didn’t use it, but I really liked the camp kitchen.

We had a great time this Labor Day meeting family at the Cripple Creek KOA. Our campsite was so nice and clean. The check in is easy and the staff is very friendly. We always enjoy our time up there.

Absolutely amazing! Views are beautiful, plenty of amenities in the store and very well kept. Owners and staff are friendly and available keeping the camp nice and clean. So many things to do with kids nearby. Will be booking again for next year!!

Super friendly and attentive crew! We really enjoyed our stay. There’s a hike right off of the campground that is fun. And challenging the more you go. Very good internet and other amenities. And the rolling vistas were gorgeous. Highly recommend! :)

Stayed at site 120 great view and location in park only problem was it took 5 inches of blocks under the tires to level trailer, not easy to get in and out with steps 5 inch’s higher easy fix just needs a little attention

Glad you enjoyed your stay, Steven! Since we're on the side of a hill, many of our sites do "drop off" a bit when you get near the edge of the RV parking pad. One trick that helps tremendously is to park as far left as you can. that way you're stepping off onto the parking pad instead of the grass.

The people that worked there were so kind and helpful. Eve went out of her way to help my husband who injured his leg. The campground was clean and the view was beautiful. Loved our stay.

Absolutely loved our camping spot!! I think we had the best spot in the Campground not even realizing that was the one we would get. The staff was so nice and fun!!

Spaces and the entire complex are well maintained. Great place to bring your family. All the staff are very pleasant and very helpful - especially the owners whom we met at the pancake breakfast which they prepare and serve each Sat. and Sun. morning. Beautiful views from this place! Looking forward to returning next year.

This is a great KOA and the people that work there are very nice. The sites are small and close together that is the only reason I gave them a 4 and not a 5. I would rexommwnd this place though it has beautiful views!

Glad you enjoyed your stay with us, Lisa, and thanks for the recommendation! Our sites are all approximately 30'x60' and since we're built on the side of a hill, not many options for expanding them. We do have indefinite plans for some new, longer sites, but schedule is TBD.

We were after cooler temps and campfires after working our way out of a heat wave across the midwest. We found it here. Beautiful views, a great hike right off tent site 11, and a helpful and friendly staff.

Glad we had what you needed, Jesse! We have been fortunate to have had a lot of rain early this summer so have yet to deal with a burn restriction in our county. Free the camp fires! :)

Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself. I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent. Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain sheep on the way in! 100% intend to return!
