Awesome park. Gunter family is very hands-on with their park, as are their staff members. Entire park ( inside & out was VERY CLEAN). I reported a possible breaker issue @ my site. They checked on it very promptly & made repair & even gave me an unexpected credit. Great pancake breakfast on Sunday morn., worth the $4. Would definitely stay here again. It is an adventure getting here, but worth it

The space are a little awkward and small and no trees, our electrical power was inconsistent for my night time O2 machine. The staff was wonderful and very kind, beautifull mountain views, dog park was great, park was very clean and maintained and all the amenities were good.

Nice Kampground, coming off highway 67 it's really hard to find. No street signs. Ask the county to install a sign designating what street it is your address is on.\ or a highway sign. Anyway it was confusing

Great KOA! However...In my opinion the fire pits are much too close to the R/Vs and power/water are located right where a left side slide would come out.

Overall it was good. This is the most dog friendly campground I have ever been to. For those of us who do not like dogs barking next to your bedroom it ain’t so great. No, I did not complain because folks don’t like complainers. Yesterday we moved to another campground in Ouray that is equally as large and have only heard one dog bark a couple of times. I will not return to this KOA.

Absolutely LOVEDthis koa. So far, this is my favorite. Very clean and very friendly. I can see just why this park is packed!! I did not catch her name, but I know she's from Kentucky, this girl was just the most informative person ever. Keep her!! She is an amazing guide to the local places of interest!!

The nicest KOA I've ever stayed at. Large sites with plenty of space between RV's. Neat and well organized. Clean laundry and restrooms. Helpful staff.

We love staying at Cripple Creek KOA. It is always so beautiful, even when it rains. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up!!

Our recent stay at Cripple Creek KOA during summer 2021 exceeded our expectations. The owners are very conscious of the RV experience, forward thinking on campground improvements and go beyond normal operations to ensure it. Plenty of local attractions for adults and kids and dogs! I appreciate the staff are current and experienced RVers. We hope to return soon, thank you and God Bless.

This is a small and very well manage KOA. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful in every way. Because of the elevation and location, there were lots of hummingbirds present.

40 yrs of camping rudest owners ever came across, arrived hour and 20minutes before 2:00 check- in, was told I wasn't allowed to wait on property, i asked to put 20 gallon water in rv so we could freshen up will waiting (water hose right beside me) told no go in town and get it! we were planning on scheduling a week stay, of course didn't. There a horrible example of the KOA name!

Nobody was rude to you, you just didn't get your way. Checkin is 2pm, as it states on your reservation confirmation, our website, social media, and a sign on the door. You chose to ignore that, so really have no argument for claiming mistreatment. Honestly, no regrets on our side that you left.

The drive out to Cripple Creek KOA is absolutely beautiful. The park itself is beautiful, very well maintained. The staff is very welcoming & pleasant. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Beautiful location. Most of the staff was super nice. Person that checked us was a bit grouchy. Nice little trail on campground could have been better marked. Also for such a large campground, only one set of bathrooms and 4 share showers. Clean and well kept spots. LOVE the check out time is noon. We wish all KOAs would go to noon! We will definitely be back.

When I needed help with a barking dog they responded very quickly. Beautiful clean and green. Very close to some of the greatest mining history towns that I’ve ever come across. Thanks for the location.

Such friendly people here! Both workers and campers. One thing we didn’t like was that our grassy area was not level, but that could have been just our spot. Our kids loved the playgrounds. Showers were nice! Centrally located to a lot of fun stops.

When a guest gets sick and has to leave, a exception COULD be made to your refund policy.

Friendly staff and very well kept rv park. Some spaces are a bit tight for a large rv with a tow but they have plenty of room for your tow in the visitors parking area. Beautiful views! We will definitely be back!

Made reservations for a group in Jan. Deric, the host did an excellent job of assisting us and meeting our needs. Very clean, friendly employees, terrific location! We'll be back!

I did not like the location where we were put. Next time I will request a different spot. The road in was tight and other campers had several cars parked in the way so we had to get them to move so we could drive into our spot.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your site, Rebecca. We did accommodate you in the site type you booked. Access can be tricky as some of our roads are narrow, although I am surprised you had issues pulling your 25' tent trailer. Feel free to request a specific site next time.

Efficient check-in. The owners really have invested time & resources to making this a beautiful KOA. Sites are well manicured. Most if not all sites included a bit of lawn. The camp tables were high quality with a plastic covering over the wood. We really enjoyed our pancake breakfast. Loved the dog park. The scenery of the surrounding area is stunning. We'll return again and again.

Very nice KOA!! Quiet with beautiful views of mountains and sunrises/sunsets! Well maintained grounds. Didn’t use facilities ie BR or laundry. Friendly staff. Away from highway and relaxing!! Would stay again! Motorhome 40ft.

We had a great patio site that was level and had pavers and a gas grill which was nice. It was meant to be our base for Great Sand Dunes and Gunnison NP's but GSD is quite a drive and Gunnison was practically inaccessible due to road closures on Highway 50.

The location is beautiful but we found the RV sites to be very tight and conjested. Also, the fire pits are located to close to some of the trailers which is a fire hazard. Printed instructions compared to lengthy verbal instructions at check in would be preferable and speed up the process. The facility overall was clean and well maintained.

Beautiful location, Friendly staff. The only issue we had is parking our coach. There isn't much room to park when your towing a vehicle. I would highly recommend this place. I would however like to see the road to the KOA paved or rocked. The dust is terrible on moto coaches.

Awesome place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights it was clean and perfect for camping. The park grounds are open and not much to see but the background is gorgeous and there is a trail leading up the mountain on the trail we found fresh bear marks witch was awesome to see and makes perfect sense why they warn you not to leave out food.

Always a fan of KOA, but this one was especially impressive to us. It is family owned and operated, and it is evident in the upkeep that the family is proud of their business. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate, they were even installing a screen door on it when we checked in, perfect for cool mountain breezes! The campground also has a fully-stocked outdoor kitchen which was a fun experience in itself. I think our kids' favorite however were the pedal carts available for rent. Lastly, keep an eye out on the way up! There are wildlife in the surrounding woods, we saw half a dozen mountain sheep on the way in! 100% intend to return!
