Camp hosts are super nice and friendly. It’s only minutes from downtown Deadwood. I give it a 3 because the sites are super close together. We wish the laundry was open 24 hrs like most KOA’s.

Great unique park. Great hosts with lots of suggestions. Only complaint is, that as traveling with our cat we were put in the pet section. It was like we were in the middle of a kennel. Someone left the dogs when they went out and they never stopped barking for over 3 hours and also made the other dogs bark. If I hadn’t admitted to having a cat no one would ever know he is there.

Needed to get away. Campground is perfectly located between Lead and Deadwoo. Hiking and Biking paths everywhere and close to our campground. Quite, clean and great management. Bathrooms are modern,clean with huge showers. Stayed in cabin, comfortable and great view. I will be back soon

The location was close to Deadwood. The sites are nice but way to close together. The Wi-Fi did not work , nor did the cable TV. Too expensive for these things "included" not to work. The gentleman status office was very nice though. Pretty location.

The campground is very neat and clean. The bathrooms were open and cleaned daily. The campground is up a hill and spaces are very compact and tight for bigger RVs and motorhomes to maneuver.

Had planned to stay 2 nights but our new 5th wheel, on our maiden trip, developed a wiring problem, so we had to have the camper co. come and pick it up for service. So our stay was shortened. We were refunded 1 nights fee which was appreciated. The lots were a little cramped but ok for a short stay.

Nice area and nice people. Most helpful with any questions I had. Spots were a bit narrow and short, but doable. Good place as a base to go see all the attractions in the area.

Arrived to a dirty campsite, fly covered food on the picnic table, food and trash on the ground. The water hookup was leaking water which was spraying onto the electrical hook up. The pool had green algae growing in it, when we talked to the owner he stated he was not going to clean the pool. It was unusable. The daily shuttle to deadwood was not running, there was no other option offered to us.

We had a very nice stay. the camp hosts were very helpfull and was able to work with us on getting a spot big enough for what we needed . Also was able to let us stay another night without changing spots.

The owner was very pleasant and helpful at check- in time to make sure that the site he had selected for me would be suitable for my large pull behind camper.

The cabin was more than we expected! So roomy and had everything we needed. The surrounding area was perfect and our first hike was right behind the campground, which was a beautiful hike! Very quiet and peaceful setting even close to the highway. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Truly enjoyed our stay at this KOA. Restrooms were clean and the grounds were very well maintained. Location was beautiful and our tent site was huge! We will be staying here again for sure!

Stayed 2 nights. Close campsites, but area was clean, well maintained and scenic. Close to Deadwood Historic District and other attractions.

Needs some repairs. The blinds are broken. The floor behind the kitchen table felt like you could fall through. The mattress was worn out. The refrigerator door handle was broken. Went to use the gas grill and there was no propane. It is located in a nice area. The people who run it, need to get a refresh course on customer service.

Perfect location, beautiful views and grounds, friendly hosts, and clean. The only negative for us was that the sights were pretty tight for larger RVs with little room for your towing vehicle. It was hard to maneuver our 37 ft 5th wheel with other RVs so close, and pulling out was tough with towing vehicles in the road. Having said that, it was doable with some maneuvering.

Our cabin was just what we needed. Our only issue was that we couldn’t get hot water from the bathroom or kitchen sink.

The only reason for 4 stars...we rented a site with a fire table and there was no propane. Had to find someone to bring up a new tank. This should be checked in between rentals. Other than that...the location to Deadwood is convenient. The lady during the check-in process was super nice and very helpful. We would stay there again...just check the propane upon arrival.

My Dog absolutely Loved the Hills and I absolutely realized how out of shape I am--So--She's making me a Better person. Fresh Mountain Air and The Best/Cleanest Water in the world. Great neighbors who while Social Distancing we traded Dog greetings and, it was Great! And, The Drives, especially this Fall are Beautiful and, the whole area is full of Great American History! Enjoy!

Beautiful location. Arrived with a motorcycle on a trailer. Gary was amazing. He was friendly, accommodating, and not only did he help me safely dismount my bike, he helped move my trailer to a site I upgraded to. Above and beyond service. Motorcycle and dog friendly site.

Best KOA of all! The owners are all amazing. The best restrooms and they keep improving them! I wish they could remain open year-round. They are almost a boutique KOA! The BEST!
