Stayed 4 nights in our 10'4" cab over truck camper. Trolley stop at campground was great to get to/from downtown. Campground was clean and well managed!

Cabin was nice and clean. Located up in the trees was nice, a little more private. Bathrooms need some improvements, showers are older, also need to have more available. Staff very friendly.

My spot was supposed to be a pull thru. It was more like parallel parking next to a driveway. No room on either side for anything. Had to put my dog pen behind my trailer on cement, no grass for them to pee on. Staff was friendly and bathrooms were clean and that's why they got a three and not a one. And no, you wont see again soon.

Sites are WAY too close. Barely room for a picnic table. No dog friendly. No grass. Dog park is dirt. Owners are friendly and just took over management. Hope they plan improvements next year. Best part of park is trolley to town but found out lots of other campgrounds offer same service.

It was the most enjoyable place to stay, we were there for 2 nights, they were very helpful and friendly we would definitely stay there again, can't say enough about how nice it was.

Staff were great! Loved the helpful attitudes. The camp sights were a little crowded and right on top of each other. It was a great location to go see the black hills, but not if you want to just "camp".

As always, our week here was amazing! Beautiful views, awesome owners/staff, nice pool & hot tub, very clean restrooms, trolley service into town. This is one of my three favorite KOAs…and we’ve been to A LOT! Thank you for a lovely stay!

KOA's are always too tight/crowded for me. They're my "last resort" campground, but service is always friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were much nicer here than at other KOA's.

Donnie, Gary and Dana are outstanding hosts. They have really energized the park as new owners. Our first day we were waiting for the trolley and Donnie came out and said that the trolley had just called and said they would not be coming to the campground due to road construction. Donnie immediately offered to drive us to Deadwood. Fantastic Customer Service! Great Location!

The owners called the Deadwood Police faster than simply charging us for the night we didn't realize they refunded us for... you would think that would be the professional approach ...guess they let their emotions rule their decision making process.

Though our stay was only one day, it was a great day. Fun for the whole family… kids are still talking about it. We will be back again!

Loved being in a cabin in the trees. Like a treehouse! Appreciated screens on the windows being well maintained. We find this is not always the case in some Koa's Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Cant wait to come again.

Cabin 1 is leaning toward the tent side and you have a tendency to roll that direction in the bed. The mattresses have no support and it's sleeping on the wood underneath. Other cabins we have stayed in, in the past were not like this one. We would not want cabin 1 again. We did like cabin 11.

I’d say things were adequate. People were nice, cabin was clean, but bathrooms were run down and pool wasn’t attractive.

I really enjoy the feeling of being out in the woods, while just being miles from Lead and Deadwood! The checking in and out was really smooth and only took 5 mins. Enjoyed my time in the deluxe cabin. Felt a lot bigger then it actually was and I was very pleased with that!

The cabins and restrooms are in dire need of some renovations and maintenance. They both need a thorough cleaning, and the cabin we rented wasn't secure (broken lock). Otherwise, the hosts were very thorough during the check in process regarding campground amenities. Still competitive rates.

Magnificent little campground right in the Balck Hill and close to Deadwood SD. The staff (Gary) and his partners were great hosts.

This was, by far, the best KOA we have visited. The owner was great. He had no problem with letting us finish our laundry later than expected. The bathrooms were clean and the park was really awesome.

We were there for the bike rally. It was a nice quiet retreat from Sturgis at the end of the day. The shower/bathrooms were clean. It was not over crowded and this was a big event. The campground was full but able to accommodate the campers comfortably. I also pleased with the laundry facilities. I will seek out KOA Campgrounds in the future.

Very nice campground, we booked a spot with a patio and absolutely loved it. Very clean site and friendly people. Unfortunately Deadwood has lost its previous historical charm and I would never return to visit. If you like bars and casinos, Deadwood is for you. Such a shame to lose such an amazing piece of history.

very Happy with KOA this is my 10th year in a row coming out to Deadwood and staying. HOWEVER i did not like paying extra for a deluxe site when nothing worked. if I pay extra for a FIRE table and a GRILL i would expect them to WORK. it is ok if they don't but please don't charge me for them. Also Wi-Fi was not working. But I will be back next year.

Beautiful set up on a bluff. Trolly into town is a bonus. Laundry is not 24hrs so that can be tough when a lot of people are using it including the campground. Pool was warm and playground was nice!

Everything was perfect. We were not aware the sturgis bike rally was the weekend we were passing through. Prepared ourselves for a sleepless night, but that was not a worry; campground was quiet throughout the night! Owner was friendly, helpful and kind. Bonus was the food truck and trolley to downtown (may as well check out the rally shenanigans since we were there).

The people that run this KOA are really nice and helpful. The grounds are kept really nice. There's a pool and a hot tub and my personal favorite was the K9 Dog Run available for our puppy. The Deadwood trolly can run you into Deadwood and that's so handy! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful location. Arrived with a motorcycle on a trailer. Gary was amazing. He was friendly, accommodating, and not only did he help me safely dismount my bike, he helped move my trailer to a site I upgraded to. Above and beyond service. Motorcycle and dog friendly site.

Best KOA of all! The owners are all amazing. The best restrooms and they keep improving them! I wish they could remain open year-round. They are almost a boutique KOA! The BEST!
