I rate KOAs by how quiet and in nature they are and clean... This hit all of those important things. Great people, campground, and great for kids! I would stay here again!

We were looking for an affordable, safe place to stay close to Deadwood and Leads. Bonus it's a cool little campground with a unique vibe. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the view from our site was beautiful. The KOA was exactly what we were looking for. Will be back next time we visit Leads.

We typically use the main shower restrooms by office, and appreciate that the broken boards on porch were fixed. This time we stayed higher up the way so we utilized the individual showers in the middle of campground, and we were disappointed in cleanliness . It is a beautiful place, the gentleman who did my check in was very nice and kind, the cabin was clean, unfortunately I was really disappointed with the cleanliness in the bathrooms, it was dirty

If you stay here in a tent site make sure to do some research before staying. some sights back the main road which has harleys and semis going up and down a mountain. No fire ring at each site just one community fire pit which is propane. This was the biggest negative to us on our trip!! What is camping without a fire at your site? The bathrooms and pool were nice and clean. Close to deadwood

Booked this on the way up! Got the last available cabin. Smelled wonderful you could tell they cleaned it. Grounds were maintained. Nestled on the hillside so exercising you legs was great. Loved the trolley that took us into town, very convenient.

Very convenient to the town of Deadwood. Was a little put off by the steep climb up to the restrooms, but other than that, a pleasant camping experience.

Very nice cabin but housekeeping not doing their job. Floors dirty, bbq grill had rust & brush provided was worn out & dirty. Coffee cups in cupboard still had coffee drips inside from last users. The bed was horrible. Not comfortable & made a terrible noise everytime when we "climbed" into bed. Spent two plus hours cleaning a cabin that housekeeping should have done. Priced way to high for this!

Very convenient location, pretty setting, grounds were kept very clean. Sites are extremely tight, but it is on the side of a mountain.

Had a nice stay again as always. Love the fact that for only a little bit more I get-cell phone service, internet, over 100 cable tv stations, convenient store, laundry available, water/sewer, nice showers/restrooms, area to play table games, pool/hot tub, trolley to Deadwood ($1), close to everything but tucked away, etc! Good times!

Not given the concrete site that was reserved online through KOA. No trolley running as advertised. Good place for kids, but too unkempt looking for me.

Great place! Not only because of the setting, but more so because of our very competent and gracious host. The Deadwood KOA is one of the best places to camp! I plan to come back there again.

Location was great! Deluxe cabin had all the necessities. The only downside was the queen bed was way too soft making it very uncomfortable for too people (worse than an air mattress).

Enjoyed our stay, the park was clean, friendly staff. The one think needs help and its not the parks fault, the entrance needs more signage and the curve makes it comfortable to wait to turn in due to fast traffic. Maybe the highway department could trim some trees and maybe a sign to warn of the stopped RVs.

This day was good State at the top of the hill the only bad thing is to empty trash was at the very bottom of the hill to walk back up after emptying trash was a chore

This KOA did not my expectations or comparison to other KOAs I have stayed at. The site was extremely small. The awning of the RV next to me was about 4 inches from my camper. There is no grass or trees around the sites. The site was so small that I could not park my vehicle and had to park in a parking area. The parking area was on another level that was reached by a very steep metal stairway.

Great location and campground but shower/ restroom facilities were dirtiest we’ve ever stayed at. After 11am cleaning floors and mats we’re not touched and were left filthy. Months of buildup!!!

What a nice relaxing campground. Debbie and Arnie were outstanding hosts. The perfect little spot to relax and central to the town of Deadwood and surrounding areas. I stayed a week and had no problems at all. Love the little coffee kiosk in the mornings. Clean and well kept. If you want a spot to relax and enjoy nature at its finest this is the spot. Grounds could be shaped up with some weed eating and general upkeep of the lodges is needed.Front door was hard to open. Large barking dogs while sitting outside.

The bathrooms on the upper level need cleaned with a power washer. The dry cabins need some AC. The ceiling fans need dropped about 8 inches so it can move the air.It did cool off in the evening with rain overnight. No refrigerator in them. I was totally disappointed. We had stayed the night before in a dry cabin in a different town. That one was great. I won't waste the money next time.

OWNERS WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ACCOMIDATE US. WE HAVE STAYED THERE MULTIPLE TIMES. DEADWWOD KOA WILL REMAIN OUR PREFERRED PLACE TO STAY WHILE VISITING DEADWOOD.

The stay was pleasant, the hill across the road would light up in the evenings. We stayed in a cabin, it was clean and cozy for our family.

I have stayed at this KOA as a child with my parents and have brought my family twice now to this same KOA, 7 years apart. My daughter and I will plan a return in about 4 years and will be staying at this KOA once again. Maybe one day my children will return with their families to keep the tradition.

Loved the touch of texting us prior to arrival letting us know we were expected. Also used text messages to let u s know what was going on in camp ("coffee is ready at the kiosk!"), great personal touch. Nicely located to enjoy going into Deadwood for events as a trolley stop is right in camp.

It was a great stay other then the WI-FI was horrible. My daughter had a online drivers Ed class during two of the days we stayed there and we had to go down to the local coffee shop as she kept getting kicked off. And the buildings pool and sauna could have used a little more up keep but the stay was good.

Beautiful location. Arrived with a motorcycle on a trailer. Gary was amazing. He was friendly, accommodating, and not only did he help me safely dismount my bike, he helped move my trailer to a site I upgraded to. Above and beyond service. Motorcycle and dog friendly site.

Best KOA of all! The owners are all amazing. The best restrooms and they keep improving them! I wish they could remain open year-round. They are almost a boutique KOA! The BEST!
