We had reserved a tent site but the camp host warned us about the cold temperature that we'd be having that night and gave us a discount on a cabin - which was good, since it ended up being in the 30s that night. Compared to some other KOAs, the tent sites at this location seemed pretty small and very close together. But the host was very kind, and the facilities were clean and comfortable.

Unique set up, stay was good! Did to have the trolley pick you up and bring you back. Only complaint was one of the bathroom doors and shower doors didn't close.

Cabin was wonderful with exception to the mattress...Kept rolling in the middle. Had to lift myself up to turn while sleeping. I loved the cabin in general with my own bathroom. Just the mattress needs replacing I would suggest.

Our stay was good, we met new friends and had a great time over the weekend. The cabins are a bit too close :/ It was very convenient to have the Deadwood Trolly stop at the KOA, only $1 per ride (each way),, and they run late into the evening. We could avoid the issue of very limited parking in town.

Cabins were very cozy, check in/out fast and easy, staff was super friendly, and the bath houses were nice. Very charming place! Can’t wait for my next visit.

Loved the cabin. Provided nice quality bedding. Toliet paper, paper towels and towels great. Comfortable bed.

While the bathroom design was nice, the back bathrooms were not clean or kept up as the walls and floor were water damaged. The pool was dirty on the sides and the bottom. Other KOAs we've stayed at had air conditioners and/or fridges in the camping cabins.

Due to mechanical difficulties our trip was going to be cancelled but we came up with a plan B.  The owner gave us a credit for the amount already paid towards a new reservation saving us additional out of pocket expenses.  Debra and Arni were so nice and accommodating.  The cabin we stayed in was clean and well maintained.  The bathrooms were very clean also.  I highly recommend this KOA.

campgrounds appeared run down and uncared for. shower rooms needed some better cleaning. cabin we stayed in was not level, had to put rocks under bed legs to make it more level. had to put pillows at foot of bed due to the way the floor leaned. pool appeared to be uncleaned.

Swimming pool was disgusting. slime and dirt all over sides and bottom. Hot tub was good. Shower curtains full of mold and mildew which proves they aren’t washed and disinfected daily. Bathroom floor discussing. Toilets were clean. Cabins and deck were nice.

Sites and cabins were right on top of each other. (The tenting sites across from our cabin we couldn't even believe were considered sites. A big tent wouldn't have even fit on it!) We got a cabin that was right by a busy road and it is a bummer you can't have a fire.

The owners r very friendly and we had a good stay, the only thing to change was too many small things wrong in the cabin, need to keep on top of the little things that can only turn into big problems ( fix futon doors in closet need to be fixed door to bedroom needs to be tightened the floor by entry feels like u will go thru very weak) nothing major just tweak the small items

Very loud, close together - motorcycles started revving their engines at 6 and woke up our son. Bathroom consistently had a line.

The location was beautiful, the cabin was clean and very comfortable, and the town trolley stop was convenient and fun for getting back and forth to town. The bathroom space for everyone to share was way too small and was not kept up or clean at all. Especially with covid, you’ve got to be better about that. I ended up using the bathroom at the visitor center which was way cleaner.

Service was excellent. The biggest problem was kids had to be 16 to be in hot tub and after driving all day my son and I wanted to sit in hot tub. Sites are really packed in. Everything was very clean and staff was willing to go out of their way to help.

The hosts could of been a little nicer. Both the pool and the hot tub were filthy. They should close both of them down and clean the dirt off the bottom and scrub the sides!

Great stay! Check in was easy and Arnie at the desk was very friendly. The cabin was recently Cleaned, smelled a little of pine sold which was reassuring. We were looking to buy a cribbage board which they did not sell and Arnie had a very nice board to loan us. Cabin was bigger than we expected with a separate bedroom and living room. The little tv was appreciated by our daughter. WiFi was handy.

Staff/hosts and the view were the best part of the stay. Our cabin was a disaster. We stayed in cabin no.1 by the trolley pickup. The cabin had mushy floors by the air conditioner, windows & the toilet. If you sat on the toilet, you felt like you were going to fall through the floor. We also leaned toward the road and felt unsafe, especially if a big gust of wind was to hit us during a storm.

We stayed in cabin #7 and it was wonderful! The only thing we would have liked was to have a fire at our site. It was too far down the hill at night for the community fire pit. Others around us in the hill were having fires, not sure if they brought a little grill? Some of the rv spots had propane for pits, would have been nice to have that option. Bathroom facilities by the office were great!

It was great to have a place where our family of 6 could all be together. When you think of the cost of food and 2 hotels rooms for a family our size, the cabin is the best bang for your buck. Making french toast while admiring the beautiful view from the deck was a bucket list momemt that I didn't know I wanted till it happened.

the staff was great and the cabins we had also great only thing that needs work is pool area needs some tlc because it had ant's all over and my grandson hates them so her didn't have fun in the pool area! also the internet needs to updates because it was very bad unless you went down to the office area but overall was a great stay and will be going back next year

Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were not well maintained...trimming was definitely needed...soap dispenser in men’s bathroom didn’t work for more than a day. One faucet in the men’s bathroom only worked intermittently. We will look at other KOAs in the area before we will return to this one.

Beautiful location. Arrived with a motorcycle on a trailer. Gary was amazing. He was friendly, accommodating, and not only did he help me safely dismount my bike, he helped move my trailer to a site I upgraded to. Above and beyond service. Motorcycle and dog friendly site.

Best KOA of all! The owners are all amazing. The best restrooms and they keep improving them! I wish they could remain open year-round. They are almost a boutique KOA! The BEST!
