Nice location, nice park. The bathhouse needs some serious work. Tile is coming up, wood is rotting not the cleanest. We stayed here several years ago, was much nicer.

In a beautiful area. Great location especially to Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon. No fire pits. Camp spots are very small And tight. Have no idea how a tent would fit in some spots. Not our most favorite KOA on our trip but it worked just fine for the night.

The natural environment and location was the best of our road trip. It’s woods setting and well kept cabins were the highlights. Very few bathroom stalls, with no ventilation for the shower humidity, made for an uncomfortable experience. Our stay was however very enjoyable due to the cabin site we were assigned. Cabin 11 is secluded, private and very clean at the end of a lane. Highly recommend.

Check in was quick and pleasant. Really enjoyed my stay in the cabin. Liked the deck and outside furniture. Hope to return in a year or two.

Everything was great! The only problem was when the attendant was extremely rude and then turned the pool light off as we were trying to leave. Patience would have been nice.

The hosts were extremely friendly and kind. Camp store had local beers and wines and ice cream treats. Our cabin was set on top of a hill overlooking a mountain. It was the prefect setting for a quiet getaway.

There is not enough bathrooms. While campers shower in the morning in the individual bathrooms/shower rooms (only 3), you have to take a long walk to the office building if your site is on the other side of the campground to use the bathroom.

We only stayed for an evening passing through town. We stay at a significant amount of KOA’s so this review is based on a comparison to other KOA’s. The campground appeared well used, and was in need of some general maintenance to get it back to KOA quality standards. Everything was functional, and did work, which is all we needed. There was nothing extremely poor about the stay.

This was my 3rd time staying at the Deadwood / Black Hills KOA. As always, The owners of the campground made everything inviting and comfortable. Always a warm hello and sincere care for your well being. Grounds are clean and well cared for. Highly recommended and I will be back.

PSA: please stay here anytime you get a chance, the amenities are amazing and the cleanliness was beyond expected. They are going through some upgrade construction but didn’t really bother us during our stay. A quiet getaway for sure.

Ive stayed here before and will again. It's a nice size, not so big that theirs to many folks in one area. bath rooms were clean. Warm showers. Friendly service.

I love KOA. We always have such a great stay. Always clean surroundings. Staff always willing to help with all needs or questions. We upgraded and stayed in a lodge, we were amazed at our upgraded cabin. Thanks for having such a great network of campgrounds. Usually find one by our travelling destinations. Thanks for making vacations a vacation.

I wish there would have been air conditioning units in the cozy cabins as it was so hot and humid at night for sleeping. Each cozy cabin I have stayed I at KOA’s has had AC units but this one. Also, it was so tightly packed, there wasn’t much room for parking, getting around, or space at all between cabins and tents. Other than that it, there was beautiful scenery around and close to town.

we had a fabulous stay at the Deadwood KOA . We always enjoy our stay. The owners are helpful , friendly and will do whatever they can to accommodate our needs. The campground is clean and well kept and user friendly. The Camping Kabins are cozy, clean the beds comfortable . We appreciate having the heat, WiFi and TV. Restrooms are clean and water hot. I would recommend this campground!

very accomodating, like the grills they installed, there is a slight concern in the soft floor in cabin 3, but I am sure they will be on it before we come back next year. Shuttle situation was a nightmare this year

For the money charged for the cabin, it should have AC. It was very hot and also the campsites are tiny and on top of each other. Staff was friendly and restrooms were clean.

Beautiful location. Arrived with a motorcycle on a trailer. Gary was amazing. He was friendly, accommodating, and not only did he help me safely dismount my bike, he helped move my trailer to a site I upgraded to. Above and beyond service. Motorcycle and dog friendly site.

Best KOA of all! The owners are all amazing. The best restrooms and they keep improving them! I wish they could remain open year-round. They are almost a boutique KOA! The BEST!
