Lots are way too small, our neighbor put their slide out and it went over our picnic table. THis place needs some work done to it, looks pretty trashy especially for the price. A little painting, tree trimming and road repair would go a long way!

Loved this KOA, beautiful area and campground

We were not happy with the sites. Very narrow. So narrow we could not open our slide. The electrical post was in middle of site. We will not stay again.

The hosts were GREAT! They even shared a little history about the area with us, which was very interesting. A trolley is available to take people into town from the campsite, and that was very convenient. Deadwood is a fun place to visit!

We couldn’t have picked a nicer place sight unseen. The owners were great! 26’ RV fit perfectly with a little yard all it’s own. Just a couple of minutes from Main St, Deadwood, we ended up spending a second night. The area is breathtaking and historical. The campground was perfect!

Great location and service

Close to town. Tight spaces.

We stayed here in our 35 ft 5th Wheel during the Deadwood Jam in Sept. 19. This KOA is very well kept but a little small for big rigs. We didn’t have a problem but were very close to our neighbors. That aside it is well located to the town of Deadwood and even has a shuttle to and from during the summer and the Jam. Nice owners and a clean laundry room! Would come back!

Very tight spaces.....like a parking lot

Whole place in disrepair. Retaining walls bowed, stairs rickety, women's bath shower head hanging, door on rest room stall unable to close. Staff very polite and helpful. Very clean rest rooms.

Loved our stay at this unique park. Great service in a beautiful setting. Great bathrooms

Very quiet park. Close to deadwood

Campground was fine though the sites were pretty close to each other. Though a neighbor’s dog was barking and owners got a warning, I don’t think it deserved a warning and we were next door and no noise during quiet time. Dog walk was okay though some owners didn’t clean up after their pets. Shuttle to downtown was a nice extra

The reason we booked this KOA was because of the shuttle to Deadwood. Washrooms were clean staff were very accommodating! Sites were close together but with full hook ups and cement patio. We would stay here again.

Access to sites is tough. This campground has no fire pits. It's not a site for trailers over 20ft.

Not what I expected from a KOA. Sites are closely spaced and were too short for my 26 ft OAL trailer and my s/b pickup tow vehicle. I had to park my p/u in an unused site. Entrance and exit roads are steep and narrow. Bathrooms were only 3-star. Again not what I expect from KOA. Stayed 2 nights at a cost of $110.

Everything was great - we will be back!!

Facility had a bad pothole on departure and host offered misinformation about access to the Wild Bill Cemetery. Specifically host advised Cemetery closed at 5, but actually only the information booth closes AT 6 not 5 AND there’s 24 hour access to the Cemetery. We raced over to the Cemetery without setting up our trailer to get there before 5 unnecessarily.

This KOA got 4 out of 5 because the service was great. The power at our site was not working properly and it was fixed right away for us. This site lost a star though because the pictures of this location were somewhat deceiving. It is much smaller than it looks & neighbors were close enough to touch. Fire rings would have been nice too, but understandable due to neighbor proximity.

We had a good time. Very clean campground and quiet.

Overnight stay to see Deadwood. Spaces ridiculously small. Picnic tables sit over the sewer dump for neighboring site with scan room to move between rv and table. If I hadn’t paid in advance I would have left upon arrival. They did have shuttle stop to Deadwood which was nice.

Very clean, close to Deadwood, Shuttle came directly to the campground.

Dirty pool. Gravel campground without any grass. Our electricity stopped working in middle of the night. Would not stay here again.

Quiet park, very clean. Sites can be a little tight but still a nice CG. Trolley into the town was great.

Beautiful location. The host was great and very helpful. Very clean laundry room and bathrooms. Very convenient having the trolley to ride into Deadwood.

Low hanging tree branch dragged across the top of our motorhome when we were arriving. A couple times the man at the counter was rude. When our friends were helping us relocate for another night they were leaving so they pulled out and parked where no one was and the man came out and was exceptionally rude and just kept yelling at us. It only took 15 min. We liked Spearfish better. Not returning!!

Don’t recommend the back-in sites at all. They are so tight it’s almost impossible to get in them if the sites on either side or full. There’s no place to park your truck except halfway in the road even at an angle. If you have a pet, the dog park is nice. Not much in the way of maintenance. The hot tub didn’t work at all—jets or heat—and no one was very concerned.

Manager is very very rude, and as we pulled out we stopped to help our other group in there RV, and he yelled at my family saying he was to call the cops and got in my face about parking out of the way, "NOT in my spot" will never return until he is gone.

Very nice

Sites were so close together our slides were over neighbors picnic table. Had to leave slide in

Nice to have hourly tram service to Deadwood, but very cramped lots.

Great stay! We really enjoyed our stay at the Deadwood KOA. Staff were so friendly and helpful during our week visit. I would get up early every morning and walk about to prepare for my day and it was always we kept, we had good space between other guests on each side of us. We were in the area with the park, no kids were visiting this week but it was quite.

Beautiful site! Bathrooms exceptionally clean. Close to Deadwood. Convenient store for items you may forget. Nice play space for dogs. Would stay here again!

Clean water, good phone service and WiFi. This is an older park, however. --For whatever reason, the sites are quite small and the park can be difficult to negotiate for larger motor homes, particularly if the motor home is towing a "dingy" vehicle. I noted that these MH's would routinely exit the wrong way -- out the entrance road -- to avoid the narrow, tight turns at some points.

You can’t beat the location and the staff is extremely nice

The hot tub was not hot and the jets were nonexistent. Very tight area but pretty.

The welcome was very unfriendly and the campsite was not so nice. Nog in the sun and to close to eachother.

Beautiful location. Arrived with a motorcycle on a trailer. Gary was amazing. He was friendly, accommodating, and not only did he help me safely dismount my bike, he helped move my trailer to a site I upgraded to. Above and beyond service. Motorcycle and dog friendly site.

Best KOA of all! The owners are all amazing. The best restrooms and they keep improving them! I wish they could remain open year-round. They are almost a boutique KOA! The BEST!
