OWNERS WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ACCOMIDATE US. WE HAVE STAYED THERE MULTIPLE TIMES. DEADWWOD KOA WILL REMAIN OUR PREFERRED PLACE TO STAY WHILE VISITING DEADWOOD.

Loved the touch of texting us prior to arrival letting us know we were expected. Also used text messages to let u s know what was going on in camp ("coffee is ready at the kiosk!"), great personal touch. Nicely located to enjoy going into Deadwood for events as a trolley stop is right in camp.

We reserved a standard site and were upgraded to a more deluxe site for which we were not charged. There was no table beside our coach. The propane tank was empty so the fire did not work so it wasn't very deluxe.

Management was very helpful. Good spaces. Loved having the trolley into and back from Deadwood. Shop had everything I needed.

We had a good stay again, but the showers need some improvement. The drain in the women’s shower was slow so you stood in water. The middle was ok, but the door was hard to latch. The third one had shower curtains that had fallen down two of the days. The mats in the shower floors are hard on your feet so I wore flip flops. Spots are close together, but location is good.

Pool was nice. Would have liked to spend time in hot tub/jacuzzi but the temperature made it impossible to stay more than a couple minutes (felt like scalding temperature). Several people made the same comment.

Very nice hosts. Gracious and strive to accommodate. The RV sites are extremely narrow. Our slide out almost touches neighbor’s RV. Very tight.

We really enjoyed this park. The location was so beautiful and had a great view. My kids enjoyed playing on the playground for hours. It was very well located to the town of Deadwood. Just outside it so it was quite but close enough so you didn't have a long drive to get to it. It was wonderful that they had a shuttle coming through the park to pick you up or drop you off.

The campground was nice and the people very friendly. A little tight maneuvering with a rug and towing. Steep incline off the highway as well.

The staff is very friendly and helpful but the sites are incredibly narrow - when we pulled in and opened our camper door it banged into the picnic table! - there's no privacy (and our neighbors were LOUD!), and there's nothing scenic which shouldn't be the case when surrounded by the beautiful black hills.

Friendly staff: assigned space was crowded by a large stump, I should have asked to move but did not: trolley from/to KOA from town was not dependable but not the KOA’s fault; bathing houses were convenient and water was hot

The area is beautiful! It’s like the black hills are hugging you. We loved the kamp K9 for our dog, allowed him to run around a little. The only issue we had was how tight everything is for parking. They make accommodations for parking but it is very tight. If you have more than just a camper definitely call ahead! There’s no extra room for parking.The staff is is nice! Absolutely no complain

This KOA was run down compared to all the other KOAs we have stayed at. Our picnic bench was loose you can tell the up keep of this place struggles. Also the parking is ridiculous. Give up a roll of campers for parking.

Campground is lovely. It is clean, well maintained with beautiful views. There is no room though, very tight fits. Staff was very friendly.

Sites r close together, we didn’t get password during check in, just not as aesthetically pleasing as other KOA’s we have stayed at.

Nice park close to Deadwood. The $1 Trolley to town made it real easy for us to go back and forth. The dogs really enjoyed running free in the fenced in dog area. Would stay here again.

Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean, But low hanging Trees should be trimmed on road ways in the camp ground. Could do damage to A/C's , ect on top of campers and motor homes. They were hanging down pretty low on the right side road up the hill.

We really enjoyed this RV park! So centrally located to everything we wanted to see in the area! The gentleman at the desk was very nice and helpful! He suggested the Spearfish Canyon Scenic drive which we did not know about! It was awesome! Highly recommended park!

We have had great luck at the KOAs. This one, not so much. Owner was friendly, but the campground is not kept up very well. There was a big older motor home parked in the dump station the whole time we were there. Extremely small sites, tight turns, not for big RVs. This is a place for one night stay. But for the price I would stay elsewhere. Sad because I love KOAs.

Beautiful location. Arrived with a motorcycle on a trailer. Gary was amazing. He was friendly, accommodating, and not only did he help me safely dismount my bike, he helped move my trailer to a site I upgraded to. Above and beyond service. Motorcycle and dog friendly site.

Best KOA of all! The owners are all amazing. The best restrooms and they keep improving them! I wish they could remain open year-round. They are almost a boutique KOA! The BEST!
