This was our second time staying there. This time we brought family and grandkids that tent camped beside us. We all had a great time. Kids really enjoyed the catch and release pond

We stayed in cabin 86 it was very clean! We loved it! This was our first time at a KOA cabin.

We have stayed at many KOAs. This KOA has “quiet time” at 11pm but you can’t even be outdoors quietly then. They should say all campers must be silent at 11pm. The owners make sure of that. They accuse you of being loud and playing music, when you are whispering and roasting marshmallows with kids. The owners are on a strange power trip. We will not recommend or return to this KOA.

Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Staff was able to accommodate a request I made. The pool was wonderful. The grounds were well kept & the showers & bathrooms were very clean & well stocked. I will definitely stay again. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant experience.

Have stayed here at least twice a year for last 5 years. Well maintained, lots to do and cabin is always clean.

We just love this KOA. Been coming her for over 25 years. It's clean and so family friendly. It's so easy to make new friends just by camping next to them! And the staff is incredible. Always polite and willing to go out of their way to accommodate you. We will definitely stay here again.

Have come here for 45 years, obviously...family tradition. Have always felt like we are coming home to camp here together. The new owners are trying to keep the feel the same, with little transition felt to the campers. We had a great time here, as always, and will be back...of course. See you soon...again...

My husband was in the I CU fighting for his life. My son called to cancel on the tue before. He told them what was going on. They were rude and the owner said no I am keeping your money. Well I am sure they sold our site again. Then they called me 2 times leaving a message where are you.. How rude. KOA family, NOT all he wanted was money. BAD UNCARING MAN, NO ONE SHOULD EVER STAY THERE

The staff was experienced, very helpful and nice. The place was very well groomed and clean. This KOA is under new ownership and he has a lot to learn but he is trying. Hopefully he will let his experienced staff guide him until he get into the swing of campground ownership.

We have been camping at this KOA for many years. The new owners are so friendly and accommodating. The facility is very clean and quiet. The new 70' pull thu sites are perfect for our Class A and car trailer! This is the only place that we will camp when we travel to Erie!

Had a good time at the campground. Found plenty of things to do for all ages. Only thing we found negative was when we wanted to rent one of the quad pedal bikes it was 7:34 and we were unable to rent one because of the store closing at 8. A bit disappointing. We would stay again though.

I really like the campground and the activities; however, the quiet time at 11:00 pm was so strictly enforced it was disappointing. We were just talking at our campfire and we were told to whisper!! If there was loud music or complaints I could see the owner coming to that campsite but the owner came to every site and told campers to whisper. Several other campers also had the same complaint.

The new owners make sure everyone is taken care of by riding around on their carts offering many services. Something i have never seen before. Simply the best!! Thanks Erie KOA for once again another great time!!!�

We were at the Erie KOA for the first time a few weeks ago and we are definitely planning to stay again. The campground is well taken care of and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The sites are spacious. The pool is beautiful. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. Plenty of things for kids to do, and its super easy to get to Presque Isle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I will never stay here ever again. My husband and I were harassed when we were sitting at our fire after 11. So was everyone else that camped. Every single night. It was ridiculous. The owner is on a power trip and thinks he’s the warden of a prison. Stay far away

My family gets together yearly to tent camp in different places. This was our first stay in McKean and we were very comfortable here! Everything we could need was available, including a reasonable priced store and the offer to bring jumper cables to restart my car. Thank you for all of your help!

Great campground, however bathrooms could use some work. The one near us was closed for cleaning for over an hour and when we were able to access it was just as dirty as it was prior to being cleaned. Same garbage and dirty areas were the same after the cleaning!

I totally don’t like bathrooms and toilets. We have experience with chipper camps and it was much cleaner. I also don’t like little picnic tables and small camp place to stay. I’m not sure I would like to come back.

We have stayed at this koa for years and have always had a great time this stay was VERY different. The new owners need to be a lot nicer they don't let you say anything or explain anything they just jump to what they think. My experience this time is I WILL NOT BE BACK!! Sorry to because it's a very nice place and I hope to find another one.

We were very impressed by the Erie KOA. It was extremely clean and neat. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We tent camped beside the lake and loved our site. Prices for drinks and snacks/ice cream in the store were very reasonable. The laundry area was clean and we enjoyed the arcade games & air hockey in the rec room (which were also decently priced).

Our family loves this campground! Very family friendly! New owners are very nice and always working to make the campground an enjoyable place for all. And it's just a short drive to presque isle, the zoo and many other thing in Erie.

Just finished our 4th and unfortunately last trip for the '21 season. We had so much fun this summer at the McKean PA KOA!! We tent camped with amenities. This campground is family friendly with a heated pool, playground, arcade and other amenities for kids. We love the catch and release pond. There's some big ones in there, my husband has caught them. We really enjoyed ourselves everytime we stayed. (even when it rained) The staff were All Always Awesome!! They Always treated us Wonderfully!! The bathrooms were kept clean.The owner even gave us a specific site because of a medical condition I have. (Thank you Jamie!! :) All of our trips have been just what I needed after losing my Dad a few months ago. If you camp at KOA's we suggest signing up for the KOA Rewards program. It saves you money and you get to stay for free at a KOA one designated weekend a year. If you're planning a trip to Erie we Highly recommend the McKean, PA KOA!! The campground sits right off of I79 and beautiful Presque Isle is just a short drive away! We're planning to purchase a pop-up this off season and our first trip with it will be to the McKean. **UPDATE October 2021 We got our "new pup" and stayed in McKean for a long Halloween theme weekend. It was wonderful of the owners to plan such fun activities for the kiddos. I really enjoyed decorating and handing out candy!*** I also just want to say that we Never heard anyone around us ever complain about any of the staff any of the 5 times we stayed there! We also never saw or heard any type of confrontation between staff and guests anywhere in the campground. All we saw were Very Hard working owners & staff who just wanted to keep everyone happy & safe and ensure everyone had a good time!
