Kids walking around playing music past 11pm shining flashlights at all the tents, 2/3 toilets near us clogged the first day there and were never fixed the whole weekend, the water supply was dirty, people from the grassy area cut through our site, neighbors were allowed to check in well past 8pm and then were very loud setting up for over an hour.

It was very clean, quiet, and safe. I was traveling alone and felted super comfortable there.

We enjoyed our stay the hosts were very nice. The camp sites and bathrooms and showers were very clean our dog enjoyed being able to camp with us. We hope to get back that way soon for another visit.

Internet was very important to me- I could not sign on to your network via phone or laptop, despite the instructions on the welcome brochure. An easier to access system would be very helpful. Otherwise site and restroom were clean. I did not utilize any other amenities.

Customer service at the front counter was superb. Forgot her name, but she lives 3 miles from there. Very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to multi task with several customers needing things. Very clean facilities and nice set up.

Owners were very friendly and accommodating:) Loved the 11:00pm quiet time. It made for a very quiet, and relaxing stay. Plenty of things for my little ones to do. Grounds well maintained, and no mosquitoes:) will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing 3 days :)

Love the quiet and more private area up on the hill near the teepees. Close to everything we wanted to do at Presque Isle State Park. Office pleasant and helpful with concerns. Had a trailer issue and office recommended a mobile repair service that came the same day and resolved the issue. Thanks for the referral and highly recommend Mike for quick communication and resolution to problem.

We had a wonderful time during each of our 4 stays at the McKean PA KOA this summer!! I've already recommended family/friends to stay there. I give the campground 100 out of 10! The new owners are great, the place is kept beautiful and there's a lot of stuff for kids to do. We're already looking forward to staying there multiple times next summer!!!!

We enjoyed ever minute of our 6 night stay. The owner and employees were helpful when needed. Shower rooms, laundry room, and bathrooms were always clean and tended to. We plan on returning in the future.

Very family and kid friendly!!! Clean and comfortable all around. A few adults attempting to ruin a quiet “well earned” weekend were dealt with appropriately after having been asked to abide by RULES. Owners were very in tune with the happenings on their property. We WILL be back

While the staff was friendly, the camp ground itself was not kept up as I have stayed at other KOA’s that were kept in better condition. The area was muddy and puddles just laid in the stones. The bathrooms need to be updated and as a female could not be comfortable because there wasn’t enough room.

The only complaint we had with our stay is that the bathrooms were not cleaned once. Usually when we stayed in the past several years they were cleaned daily.

We have stayed at this Campground in the past. Always very well kept. This stay we found things not as clean. Bathrooms and showers were not like they were in the past. The new owners are very friendly, and I assume like every other business They're struggling to find workers so short staffed is the issue. However, keeping the bathrooms clean is a must. We will be back next year!!! Keep working

We were berated like children at 11:30 pm for listening to music, at half volume, through the speaker of my cell phone. None of our neighbors had heard us. I am 50 years old, and the Executive Director of an Assisted Living. We weren't bothering anyone. I haven't been treated so rudely in my life. You couldn't pay me to return to a KOA. Luckily, we found another campsite to finish our weekend

Enjoyed the campground overall, facilities, and our tent site. Disappointed to learn when we arrived that there was no Sunday pancake breakfast, as that was one of the reasons we chose this campground. Also had to pay an additional $10 per night so my son could sleep in his own tent, when there were only 4 of us on our site (1 adult, 3 children).

We had a lovely time. The campground was very clean and staff was friendly. Movie night was really nice. Camp store has limited merchandise and food.

a bit of noise from a barking dog, some rude campers, the highway, and kids. Other than that, the restrooms were clean, the owners were so nice, and the water, electricity and tent space were good. We'd definitely go here again.

It was our very first stay at this site in a tent with two kids and a dog. We loved it! Very well run campground with lots of fun for children. Bring kids' bikes and popcorn for movies. Bathroom floors could be attended a little bit more often, and the fishing pond seemed to have no fish. Otherwise, we loved it and planning to come next year.

While I do know the new owners are trying, I miss the previous owners. The trailer bathroom near the tent campers are not being cleaned nearly as often. There is also now an employee who seems to hide behind your own vehicle to scold you for whispering the moment quiet hours begin. My family has gone there for 35 years, and I hope to continue to take my children, so hopefully things change a bit.

The place was beautiful and clean however the owners were awful!!! Terribly rude to my whole family. I called the main KOA headquarters and put in a formal complaint. Many others apparently did the same.

My family and I have stayed at the campground every year for the past 3 or 4 summers. We have referred people to them and even brought extended family with us for our trip this year. After a VERY unprofessional interaction with a woman who identified herself as the owner, I will never return again. I also emailed KOA corporate office about the disgusting behavior of the owner. Shame on this owner!

My family has been coming here for over a decade, year after year. New ownership is neglecting most of the things previous owners had down pat. Saving a few bucks on overhead will end up making one of the best K.O.As in the region..one of the worst. We came here this year and haven't felt welcomed once. New employees have terrible attitudes and the security woman is leading the pack. Stay away.

I booked this trip for my son’s first birthday. He is the last of five that my husband and I have. So, camping for us is a perfect vacation but, not at this campground. We were told, very rudely by Sharon, that if we cannot stop our baby from crying we would have to leave. Threatening to kick us out because we are not willing to drive around till he fell asleep is beyond insulting. Never Again!

The premises were fine Day 1. We paid for a grassy pad but got a gravel one just before it rained. The next day we had to move to a grassy one. However, the next morning (7/17) on M5 we woke up soaking wet in tent, all surrounded with snails. I asked for one night refund because of the site being drowned (can’t eat, sit or sleep on the site). No refund, no other dry grassy site. Left unsatisfie

We loved our stay at this KOA! The restrooms were close by and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the activities (movies, Gaga ball, the jump/bounce pad). Our two children were happy and loved it!

Our family loves this campground! Very family friendly! New owners are very nice and always working to make the campground an enjoyable place for all. And it's just a short drive to presque isle, the zoo and many other thing in Erie.

Just finished our 4th and unfortunately last trip for the '21 season. We had so much fun this summer at the McKean PA KOA!! We tent camped with amenities. This campground is family friendly with a heated pool, playground, arcade and other amenities for kids. We love the catch and release pond. There's some big ones in there, my husband has caught them. We really enjoyed ourselves everytime we stayed. (even when it rained) The staff were All Always Awesome!! They Always treated us Wonderfully!! The bathrooms were kept clean.The owner even gave us a specific site because of a medical condition I have. (Thank you Jamie!! :) All of our trips have been just what I needed after losing my Dad a few months ago. If you camp at KOA's we suggest signing up for the KOA Rewards program. It saves you money and you get to stay for free at a KOA one designated weekend a year. If you're planning a trip to Erie we Highly recommend the McKean, PA KOA!! The campground sits right off of I79 and beautiful Presque Isle is just a short drive away! We're planning to purchase a pop-up this off season and our first trip with it will be to the McKean. **UPDATE October 2021 We got our "new pup" and stayed in McKean for a long Halloween theme weekend. It was wonderful of the owners to plan such fun activities for the kiddos. I really enjoyed decorating and handing out candy!*** I also just want to say that we Never heard anyone around us ever complain about any of the staff any of the 5 times we stayed there! We also never saw or heard any type of confrontation between staff and guests anywhere in the campground. All we saw were Very Hard working owners & staff who just wanted to keep everyone happy & safe and ensure everyone had a good time!
