Excellent. Campground neat and clean. Took quiet time seriously and enforced it. Staff was very pleasant.

Been going there for years. Was family oriented. Don't know what happened. Told ownership changed. No scheduled activities for the youngsters. Told staffing issues. Police being called because people sitting around campfire. Heard no noise. Campers being asked to leave.Owners being disrespectful to campers.KOA's standards I will be dropping membership.Hope this gets to someone who can do something

Property is immaculate. Owner was extremely pleasant and helpful to find us the best site so we would not have to unhook overnight. Always stay here when traveling

We have been staying here for many years with a large group of friends. IF it weren't for tradition, we would not have returned...However this year has changed our mind. We immediately noticed the grounds were noticeably different. A new owner is investing sweat equity and it shows! Cabins were cleaned better than ever and common areas were beautifully maintained. Our stay was very enjoyable!

Very unpleasant experience! The customer service from the owners was beyond rude and unaccommodating. My family was extremely disappointed that we were unable to enjoy looking at the stars and roasting s’mores around our campfire due to being forced into our camper. The new owners have created an uninviting and hostile environment. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this campground

If I could give this campground a 0 I would. We have been staying Labor Day weekend at Erie KOA for the last 5 years. From the moment we pulled in the new owners were antagonistic and unprofessional. They do not know how to interact with the public. They want to have a curfew not quiet hours. They have no activities for kids like previous owners. Will never go back until there is new ownership.

The new owners of this KOA are some of the rudest people I have ever meet. The campground is dirty and extremely unkept. Allowing them to partner with KOA is a complete disgrace to other owners who work so hard. If this continues, I worry that it could tarnish the overall KOA high quality branding. Please read Yelp, google, and Facebook reviews. You will see over 100 complaints in 2 months!

Campground is nice and the location is great If you have a group then don't plan on hanging out at night. The quiet hours are way too strict. We were harassed every night by the owners for being too loud. We were just sitting around the fire having a normal conversation. They wanted us to whisper. We also saw them call the police on a family that wasn't being loud at all.

We camp with 4 other families and they have all stayed at this location for the last 6 years, but it was a completely different experience than they have had in the past. We were SCOLDED every night for being too loud -- no loud music or hooting and hollering -- simply sitting at the campfire talking together -- it's not an 11pm quiet hours - it's a LOCKDOWN. We will NEVER return.

We love this KOA! Close to Lake Erie and Presque Isle! Great for the wine country too! This KOA is very clean! We’ve stayed hear several times and enjoyed our site! We had the RV patio sites which were very nice! Pretty sunset over the lake too!!

Here is the thing for us. We had a couple we wanted to invite for dinner around the campfire. They would have stayed a total of two hours. They didn't join us because it would 8$ a person plus 5$ to park their car. No exceptions. We were so disappointed. Otherwise our stay was good we had a nice spot. The owner was the only one we saw and he was working hard to meet many needs.

Owners were very friendly and accommodating:) Loved the 11:00pm quiet time. It made for a very quiet, and relaxing stay. Plenty of things for my little ones to do. Grounds well maintained, and no mosquitoes:) will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing 3 days :)

Well designed, clean and helpful staff, beautifully landscaped too. We were too close to the gate so the busy local highway was noticeable but the other sites were probably more insulated from the noise.

Beautiful level and long pull through sites. Other sites look very nice too. All amenities are cared for so campground is clean. Friendly staff. Great location..on/off I-79 and close driving distance to Lake Erie.

Very nice and cozy, extremely well kept and clean campground, Jamie, the owner, is friendly, and very accommodating. 2 issues to share: 1. no KOA signs on I-79 driving north before exit #174 nor off the interstate driving through McKean 2.Noticed a very pungent smell coming from the fresh water hook-up, (very obvious when taking a shower) Great price, would luv to return next year.

The Koa was great but our site was not. We were on the front drive thru and they were so small could not even have dog on 6 ft leash without going on neighbors site. Other sites much better. Would definitely go back bit would request a site.

Love the quiet and more private area up on the hill near the teepees. Close to everything we wanted to do at Presque Isle State Park. Office pleasant and helpful with concerns. Had a trailer issue and office recommended a mobile repair service that came the same day and resolved the issue. Thanks for the referral and highly recommend Mike for quick communication and resolution to problem.

Nice Place!!!! Our cabin had a great view. The cabin was nice and well kept. The whole campground seemed well kept. Only negative thing I can say is some of the entertainment we where hoping to do was closed. We would definitely come back again.

This is not the first time we have stayed at this KOA, nor will it be the last!!!! The campground is on the small side with the layout of the sites being "different" (in a good way). The facilities, including the rest rooms, showers and laundromat are clean & very nice. The grounds are well maintained. The owners have always been extremely helpful, courteous, accommodating and very friendly.

Our family loves this campground! Very family friendly! New owners are very nice and always working to make the campground an enjoyable place for all. And it's just a short drive to presque isle, the zoo and many other thing in Erie.

Just finished our 4th and unfortunately last trip for the '21 season. We had so much fun this summer at the McKean PA KOA!! We tent camped with amenities. This campground is family friendly with a heated pool, playground, arcade and other amenities for kids. We love the catch and release pond. There's some big ones in there, my husband has caught them. We really enjoyed ourselves everytime we stayed. (even when it rained) The staff were All Always Awesome!! They Always treated us Wonderfully!! The bathrooms were kept clean.The owner even gave us a specific site because of a medical condition I have. (Thank you Jamie!! :) All of our trips have been just what I needed after losing my Dad a few months ago. If you camp at KOA's we suggest signing up for the KOA Rewards program. It saves you money and you get to stay for free at a KOA one designated weekend a year. If you're planning a trip to Erie we Highly recommend the McKean, PA KOA!! The campground sits right off of I79 and beautiful Presque Isle is just a short drive away! We're planning to purchase a pop-up this off season and our first trip with it will be to the McKean. **UPDATE October 2021 We got our "new pup" and stayed in McKean for a long Halloween theme weekend. It was wonderful of the owners to plan such fun activities for the kiddos. I really enjoyed decorating and handing out candy!*** I also just want to say that we Never heard anyone around us ever complain about any of the staff any of the 5 times we stayed there! We also never saw or heard any type of confrontation between staff and guests anywhere in the campground. All we saw were Very Hard working owners & staff who just wanted to keep everyone happy & safe and ensure everyone had a good time!
