The owners seemed to single out people if they weren’t acting exactly like they wanted. We were told we could park in the grass area off to the side of our camping area and then was told our last day that we had to get off the grass because we were going to kill it. Very family and kid friendly!!! Clean and comfortable all around. A few adults attempting to ruin a quiet “well earned” weekend were dealt with appropriately after having been asked to abide by RULES. Owners were very in tune with the happenings on their property. We WILL be back

Nice campground, nice people in the store. The only thing I would have changed is the closeness of the camper on site 11 - we were on site 12 and they guy on 11 had virtually no yard for his table and stuff.

After coming here for 13 straight years, we won’t be back here unless the new owners sell. The owners are quiet hour Nazis who threaten to call the police on you if you don’t whisper. They don’t even want you outside after 11pm. The woman was rude, threatening and unprofessional. Plus they got rid of the goats, rabbits, & the bounce pad & paddle boats are off limits. The kids didn’t enjoy

The wifi was slow. My parents site was too short for their camper and truck so they were warned not to park on the grass, even though long term campers had vehicles on grass. Pool was kind of small and crowded. Slides were not safe for toddlers. The nightly movies were nice and the store was good. Need stickers for campers though. We also enjoyed the pirate show. We would stay again.

The owners are terrible. Seriously, this place has nice facilities but it’s not worth the harassment from the owners. They show up unannounced on our decking yelling at us for talking around a campfire after 11pm, twice. When we questioned them, they called the state police! We will be taking other actions in addition to this review. Please read other similar reviews on google etc.

Having been seasoned campers, this camping experience was unacceptable not due to accommodations but to the owners and the way the campground is run.The new owners are rude, disrespectful and hostile; harassing not only us (a family of 4 with young children) but other campers. Their behavior was unacceptable for any adult/management. We will not be returning or recommending this KOA. Stay away!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was really clean and the kids loved how big the pool was. Will definitely come back to camp again!!!!

We love this KOA. The owners Jamie and Sharon are awesome...I don't think they ever sleep. They are always doing something in the campground...cutting grass, checking people in, working in the store, cleaning cabins, delivering firewood, I could go on and on about how great they are. We have reservations in September and it will be our third stay there this summer. So much for kids to do also.

We have been coming the the Erie Holiday KOA for years. It’s always wonderful and this year we talked to the owners various times and they were always so friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well kept.

We had a great time! We stayed in the deluxe cabin 1 and it was so nice! My 3 year old loved the campground and all the nearby activities in Erie. I've been coming to this campground since I was a kid, and my family and I plan on returning next summer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The new owners (Jamie and his wife) are 100% dedicated to making sure each of their guests have a great camping experience. It was wonderful to see how this campground paid particular attention to the children and grandchildren (we don’t have yet), the most family-friendly campground we have ever encountered.

We had Lot#30 and really enjoyed the privacy and space. It was cleaner than most with the brick patio.

Pool was clean! Been to actual resorts that had nasty pools but this one was clean! Grounds were kept up and clean. Interactions with staff and owners were friendly.

Always a pleasant stay with you. Probably would ask for a different site than 006 next time but only because we didn't have enough room to put out our awning. Otherwise perfect stay!

Friendly people. The camp sites were clean and very well kept. There was no loud people music or noise. It was a joy to me to see the kids playing and the furry animals. A great place to relax

Easy check in, clean restrooms and showers. I was right by the playground which was a little loud and annoying but for someone with kids I’m sure it would have been great.

We had such a nice weekend at Erie KOA. The pool was so nice and the fishing was excellent. The kids loved the scavenger hunt and the ice cream social. The employees were amazing and so very helpful! This is one of our favorite campgrounds!

The owner's wife was rude. I have stayed at this campground a number of years at the end of summer with my children. I was at my fire at 11 pm and was essentially told that we could not even talk or be outside. Her demeanor was inappropriate and rude. I will never return and have recommended to my friends that typically come to never return.

Arrived late in the day and was lucky to find a spot for our 20 ft trailer (a benefit of a small camper!). Park is very nice, lots of fun seeing kids running/biking around. Very quiet at night. Will definitely stay here again when passing through.

We have been spending a long weekend with several friends for the last 15 years or so. The new owners treated us like children. We have always enjoyed sitting around our campfire listening to music and catching up on each others lives. If you enjoy that don't book here. ANY sound after 11:00pm and they threaten to throw you out. We are already planning to find a new location next year.

Our stay was great. The only problem was there was absolutely no shade and it was in the 90's when we stayed there. Just need more trees by campsites. The staff was great and very pollite and the owner was as well. We would stay there again.

Wish some of the activities advertised on the site had happened (pancake breakfast, coffee in the shop, bounce pad), but unfortunately short staffed as are so many businesses today. That said, Jamey and his team did a phenomenal job, can't wait to come back next year!

Our family loves this campground! Very family friendly! New owners are very nice and always working to make the campground an enjoyable place for all. And it's just a short drive to presque isle, the zoo and many other thing in Erie.

Just finished our 4th and unfortunately last trip for the '21 season. We had so much fun this summer at the McKean PA KOA!! We tent camped with amenities. This campground is family friendly with a heated pool, playground, arcade and other amenities for kids. We love the catch and release pond. There's some big ones in there, my husband has caught them. We really enjoyed ourselves everytime we stayed. (even when it rained) The staff were All Always Awesome!! They Always treated us Wonderfully!! The bathrooms were kept clean.The owner even gave us a specific site because of a medical condition I have. (Thank you Jamie!! :) All of our trips have been just what I needed after losing my Dad a few months ago. If you camp at KOA's we suggest signing up for the KOA Rewards program. It saves you money and you get to stay for free at a KOA one designated weekend a year. If you're planning a trip to Erie we Highly recommend the McKean, PA KOA!! The campground sits right off of I79 and beautiful Presque Isle is just a short drive away! We're planning to purchase a pop-up this off season and our first trip with it will be to the McKean. **UPDATE October 2021 We got our "new pup" and stayed in McKean for a long Halloween theme weekend. It was wonderful of the owners to plan such fun activities for the kiddos. I really enjoyed decorating and handing out candy!*** I also just want to say that we Never heard anyone around us ever complain about any of the staff any of the 5 times we stayed there! We also never saw or heard any type of confrontation between staff and guests anywhere in the campground. All we saw were Very Hard working owners & staff who just wanted to keep everyone happy & safe and ensure everyone had a good time!
